I’ll definitely be back here! I had the Crunchy Salmon Tataki roll, Sexy Salmon roll, & the pan seared pork gyoza. All 3 were super delicious & fresh & I also loved the variety of sauces they came with. Overall, very yummy & reasonably priced.

was craving for some ramen and this is the closest place to work so i thought i’d give it a try… and the sashimi roll looks promising too so… i had two entrees for lunch! both were OK… just alright. the ramen was a very blend noodle soup. the pork(tonkatsu) was very fatty and cold, so was the egg, so i assumed that they prepared those previously and just added onto the noodle soup… at least heat them up to room temperature first! the sashimi roll was alright too… it may look like it’s just fish and avocados, but there’s crab meat in the middle with mayo — it gets heavy and filling half way through… the last couple pieces i just took out the fish and… they did not taste fresh. maybe i’d go back again, it would be for the usual bento box maybe, something that’s hard to messed up.

5 stars for lunch, 3 stars for dinner = 4 stars. Love their bento box for lunch, but unfortunately they don’t offer them at dinner.

Really good restaurant! My boyfriend and I ordered an albacore carpaccio($ 14), a two-item dinner combination($ 20) and udon in a clay pot($ 11). The food was great; however not sure if it justifies the somewhat high price. But still, service was excellent and food came out quickly. The ambiance inside the restaurant was really nice and am definitely considering coming back again.

Great place would have gave it 5 stars but there’s small things I didn’t like. 1 of them was there was this Asian man with a short sleeve grey work shirt walking around with his arms cross like he was patrolling. I’m guessing he was the manager. The happy hour was great and there was a really nice Hispanic waiter talking to people and making the place more lively as you would want but everyone was so uptight even the waitress took forever to wait on us and it wasn’t busy but luckily that one guy was there picking up plates and making sure everyone was ok so because of him alone I changed my stars from a 3 to a 4. Other than the other staff with no personality the food and drinks were very good.

The Avocado Volcano and Spicy Calamari were amazing. I was in gastro heaven. The Cucumber Sushi roll was ok and the grilled salmon salad was really good. I have to limit my carbs and their menu accommodates everyone. Love their food.

2.5. Very average sushi. A tad overpriced. I didn’t care for how rude the woman at the front was. I’m assuming she’s the owner or manager. I saw a carry out customer come in due to an order mix up and the lady gave the customer a really hard time. Apparently it was over a $ 5 roll. This is a Chinese owned restaurant for what it’s worth. Not a place for the authentic sushi aficionados.

Great over all. Only lost out on 5 stars from me due to my order being forgotten and thus coming out very late. But the food quality is very high, the dish ware, ambiance/vibe is very cool. I was impressed. I will give service another chance but will most likely become my new favorite for Japanese food in my area.

I wanted to give 2.5 stars because the service was great and the ambiance is half-way between casual and classy, but very comfortable and friendly. The food? This might be a regular stop if we lived right across the street, but seriously, it doesn’t even begin to compete with OC’s best sushi spots. Nothing was bad, mind you, but nothing was great.

The sushi here is so fresh and yummy. Unexpectedly good for a strip mall location. But then again, this is OC and everyting is in a strip mall. The chefs are always accomodating to any of my special requests. My daughter and I eat here so frequently now they have memorized her usual order – always a plus. Their happy hour is awesome! So many things on the happy hour menu. I’ve tried the bento boxes and poke salads as well. No complaints. Hope they will be around for a long long time to come.

I love this place. Great service and great food. I love their happy hour. My daughter definitely enjoys the California rolls. She customize it by adding masago on top. Very yummy. My favorite is the baked lobster roll. Lots of pieces of succulent lobster and asparagus. We both love the miso soup and edemame for our appetizers. The staff is very friendly and prompt. Great little spot

Amazing service and quality of food is superb! Try the bluefish toro it melts in your mouth! It’s Market price at $ 12 sushi and $ 40 something for sashimi. Worth every penny! Chef Shi was an amazing host and chef. It was our first time here and definitely not our last.

It’s often said that you don’t find what you are looking for when you are searching for it. We were looking for sushi in Foothill Ranch with no luck. However, we stumbled upon Ahi Ahi out of the corner of my eye and we were happy to find it was still open! We decided on hot teas. I had the ginger miso dressing salad and a sexy salmon roll. My friend had miso soup and a salmon salad. Service was really friendly and quick! The sexy salmon roll was REALLY good! Since we were there so close to closing, I didn’t get to add to my order. I’ll be back for sure!

This has been our sushi«place» for the better part of 3 years, now. The fish quality is amazing and the sushi chefs are extremely accommodating. Unfortunately, due to a careless mistake, today was probably our last visit. At dinner tonight, I was served a scalding hot bowl of miso soup and was not warned. I understand that soup is supposed to be hot, but it’s not supposed to burn your tongue to the point that you can’t taste your food. I let me server know, and his apology seemed incredibly insincere. Had I been in his position, I certainly would have at least included a manager in the situation. My fiancé and I both left very upset about the service we received, and certainly have no intention of returning any time soon.

This is a very popular lunch spot in the Foothill Ranch area of Lake Forest. It can get very busy on a weekday so I suggest arriving around 11:45 am to avoid the rush. They have a large selection of bento style set lunches, and you also have the option to add a second entrée for only a few dollars extra. The bento lunches that we ordered came with a salad, pickled vegetables, a wedge of boiled pumpkin, a gyoza, and a generous serving of steamed rice. The tonkatsu was excellent. The panko breading was thin and light, and the pork cutlet was fried to perfection. The meat was tender and juicy, and I really couldn’t ask for anything better. The traditional tangy tonkatsu dipping sauce came with a side of spicy Japanese yellow mustard. I highly recommend that you be bold, and mix the mustard into the sauce to give yourself an extra kick to the flavor. It’s almost like adding wasabi to soy sauce, but the yellow mustard is much milder than wasabi. The tempuras were good; the breading was very thin like it should be, and they were fried to perfection. It came with 2 shrimps and an assortment of veggies such as carrots, zucchini, etc. The dipping sauce was delicious. Prices for lunch are about 10 — 20% higher than Irvine, but it’s expected in Foothill Ranch. The good quality of the food and the large portions also justify the higher than average prices. Service was friendly and prompt. The ambience was nice and comfortable. Overall, it was an enjoyable lunch experience, and I’ll be happy to grab another bento over there if I happen to be in the area again.

We have come here since we moved from AZ last year. They were my favorite place to get Ramen and a sushi roll. I always ask for an upgraded roll from the icky California Roll with the fake crab and the oily mayo(yes, some like it but it isn’t GOOD nor is it good for you). I always say«I know it is an extra charge but please change to a plain Salmon Sushi Roll or a tuna roll.» They have always accommodated my request and I accepted any extra charge. Tonight, the answer was a «No. No substitutions.» Even after I told her I’ve gotten it many times before. She did not care. First, every time I have gone there I ordered the same thing with a better roll and always paid more for it. I am FINE with paying for what I ask. Instead of making the order and my dinner what I would enjoy AND pay MORE for I was simply told No. There are so many ways this could have ended happily yet Yennis simply decided that«No» was the only way to go. I have not been feeling well — I wanted a good delicious broth and a better roll. Apparently that is out of the abilities of this restaurant now. Before, we would visit this restaurant a couple of times a month. I prefer to spend my extra dollars somewhere that it is appreciated. The bottom line was my server did not care one bit that I was not happy. She went out of her way to pretend nothing was at all wrong even though I made it abundantly clear that it was not okay. You don’t care — well, I don’t either — anymore. I even have a picture of my ramen with a spicy Tuna roll that I paid EXTRA for less than a friggin month ago — my picture is the only Ramen picture posted.

It’s sad to say that this place will no longer get my business. This used to be one of my favorite local places to eat, and a to-go place to go to when we couldn’t decide on what to eat. However, my latest experience was simply just terrible. For one thing, they’ve changed the menu. What I used to order used to cost $ 11.95, but now the price is $ 23.95 for the same exact thing. That’s a HUGE price increase and the best part? You get even less food than before. I’m not really sure what happened here. Did they change ownership? Did the owner lose some bet and now has a massive loan to repay? No clue. The price increase would be fine if the quality of the food improved or at least stayed delicious. However, it seems to me that the food quality also deteriorated. The wasabi lamb chops I used to love now have a gamey taste to them(old meat…) and the fish was chewy and didn’t taste fresh at all. Service was super poor also. They had about two other tables to service and us and we were never checked up on. Plus, I came on my birthday and got essentially a look of disgust as if it was all an elaborate ploy just to get a free scoop of ice cream. Sorry Ahi Ahi, but I’m terminating our relationship.
