Been here just once, and I now have my regular spot in Flushing. I frequently come here to check out the BBQ because it’s a wild departure(in a good way) from the Manhattan K-Town scene. Not to mention ridiculously cheaper. We ordered the all you can eat set. And frankly, for two people, one serving was all we needed. The meat was pretty good quality(in my opinion anyway). And the wait staff were very friendly. The set we ordered also came with a ridiculous amount of Banchan so we were pretty set with just one serving. Definitely would come here again with more friends for sure.

Love this place! Got the Squid Bibinbap as a lunch special, and was so happy with the quality and portion of food! In between the appetizers and main dish, they filled me up for $ 10 with lots of food to spare. Will definitely be back!

Really not impressed by this place, overpriced, waitstaff looked like they hated working there, food had very little flavor and did not seem fresh at all. Would not recommend.

I came here 3 times now, once for the all you can eat Korean BBQ and the other two times was ordering from their regular menu. Whether if you’re ordering from the regular menu or the Korean BBQ, both options are pretty good. The Korean BBQ was something good I tried about 2 years ago and I felt it wasn’t tasty or salty enough. The two more recent times that I have come here, the food is good and plentiful. They give you a small fried fish per customer, and it is one of the highlights of the meal. They also have unlimited kimchi, you just need to tell them what you want to refill. The small fried fish is something that is only given once, and if you want seconds, it’ll cost $ 2.50. With the unlimited kimchi and vast menu, there’s many things to try. Go and try it all.

I came here with three other friends a little past midnight, and there was only one other couple there. I was a bit hesitant because of all the mixed reviews. We had ordered the option A which came with various cuts of pork, chicken, and squid. As reviews said, although the meat was of the highest quality, it was still pretty tasty for the price. In addition, there was also an abundance of side dishes. The woman who served us spoke little English, so communication was a bit of a struggle at first. On the other hand, I spoke some Korean and my friends spoke a little Mandarin, which she spoke fluently, so we somehow had full on a conversation with her. She was super sweet and super attentive; it was like having an Asian mom with you. Overall, I will definitely be coming back to visit. Definitely a go to if you’re down for some late night munchies.

Hands down the best Korean food in NYC. Very friendly service and the lady who owns it is very sweet. I have been going here for 10 years and it will always be my first choice for Korean food. Anything from soup to dumplings, and especially Korean BBQ. I have never left unsatisfied from this place. FIVEGLEAMINGSTARS!

Decent place but not a standout here– we ordered spicy seafood hotpot on one table and all you can eat BBQ for my kids on the next table. A little much food for 4 yes, but you can’t order those two combos on a single table due to grill/stove limitation. We did our best to render our Snoopy tummies. Service was prompt and friendly. We liked the somewhat austere atmosphere, it made it believable for us to fancy that we were actually in some simple rural restaurant in Asia. Available parking in the back is a plus for Flushing.

I didn’t try the unlimited buffet because I came at 2am in the morning. Instead I had the budae jiggae and soon tofu, which were both good. The budae jiggae(ramen, mixed veggies, spam) got really spicy after a while and there’s not enough ramen inside. The service is excellent and they served a lot of side dishes. I really like the waitress that does the night time shift. She’s the only one there and does a great job serving customers.

Arrived in pretty late at La Guardia and wasn’t fed on any of my domestic flights, so decided to come here for a late dinner. It is literally downstairs next to my friend’s apartment, and is open 24 hours. I was the only diner when I entered. I was greeted in Korean but then the waitress figured out I was Chinese and subsequently spoke Mandarin to me the rest of the meal. I have never encountered such fluent Mandarin in a Korean restaurant before, but it is Flushing after all(the menu has English, Korean, and Chinese names for each dish). I thought the banchan were great and I got seven dishes even as a single diner. I ordered the oxtail noodle soup, which was a nice large comforting bowl. It also came out with a small side of fried squid. Service was courteous and friendly, and the interior is your typical Korean barbecue place. People seem to rave about their all-you-can-eat BBQ, which I didn’t get a change to try this time. Definitely not a bad place, and prices are pretty comparable to most other Korean places.

Went during not peak hours, got served very quickly. Their tofu soup is really yummy, not too spicy. They even give you a piece of seafood pancake when you do unlimited Korean BBQ. There were a good amount of choices for meats. The whole meal can last more than 2 hours if you want to.

okay after coming here another time, definitely going to bump this place down a notch… the meat here is reaaly reallly bad, it tastes extremely stale and I would’t be surprised if it was frozen for about a year before they got it ready to serve. The last time I was here the meat was extremely tough and unappetizing, I have been extremely hesitant to come back since

Delicious. Right across the street from Flushing Library, this authentic Korean restaurant lives up to the tradition. The cuisine has an emphasis on small portions, because the items are fresh. You must try the all you can eat BBQ, prime rib was my favorite, you can cook to your own temp and experiment with different sauces/marinades. Bring a friend familiar with the language to navigate the menu. Don’t annoy the staff. I recommend the Yachee Jook at the end of meal to settle everything nicely.

Typical Korean restaurant and conveniently located. The restaurant wasn’t crowded and we were able to sit there comfortably knowing we wouldn’t be getting kicked out for our table. I got the tofu soup and it was okay. Cant really mess up korean staples. I continue to come to this place because of the convenience but nothing really wows me.

When entering, it feels like a country or Texas style BBQ as they use wooden borders to separate groups and tables. For drinks, they provide glass cups that look like whisky glasses more than soda glasses so it has a real nice old country feel to it. The perfectly fried seafood pancake was a nice treat and they have enough waitresses speedily catering to all tables. Much to my surprise the bus boys here are nice enough to get your drink orders for you. How efficient is that? To me if you want good AYCE Korean BBQ and can’t make it to Picnic Garden because you unfortunately happen to be closer to Woo Chon then I would highly recommend coming here. It certainly isn’t going to be the best meat money can buy but easily beats most pay per order KBBQ hands down and $ 25 is not easy to beat anytime soon.

Came here with a bunch of friends for dinner after classes! We actually arrived in Flushing with no idea of where to go and ended up at Woo Chon for Korean tofu. When we went in, we were seated right away since there was like no one else in there but that had to be the best part of the subpar service… We sat near the back and basically didn’t get any service the whole time we were there… When we needed refills of water, one of my friends actually had to go up to the front just to get someone. Other than when they brought the food to our table, I never saw our server. The décor was average. I found it weird that they were playing Celine Dion in a Korean restaurant that’s located in a Chinese neighborhood. Banchan– It seems like they give less than what typical Korean restaurants give. I’m not a big fan of banchan since I don’t like the combination of salty/sour. Beef soondubu– They might as well have called it Plain Soondubu since the beef was basically nonexistent… With the exception of a few microscopic pieces, it was all tofu. The tofu was not bad though and I liked mixing it with my rice. Grilled chicken– My friend and I were not full from the soondubu so we had to order a grilled chicken also. We both despised the soybean sauce that coated the chicken because it took away all of the flavor/texture of the chicken. We had to dunk the chicken in our tofu stew just to make it edible. There are many other delicious options located in the heart of Flushing and I would advise that you go elsewhere instead. The food and service here were both subpar.

Six years after my initial review, and Woo Chon still delights with their soondubu! I found myself returning on yet another freezing cold day, craving a bubbling bowl of tofu to fill my tummy and warm my soul before rushing off to an evening class. The service was just as warm. The ban chan was just as tasty. The soondubu I ordered was just as delicious as I remembered as well. My only issue was that the beef they used seemed to be far more gelatinous and tendon filled than what I remembered. While that is a preference for many people, it certainly is not a favorite of mine. I found myself fishing them out, piece by piece and leaving them to the side. Still, the soondubu itself was delicious, and I very much enjoyed all other ingredients within it. When I return, I’ll avoid beef and order the seafood, chicken or mushroom versions instead.

Been here twice. Had the unlimited all you can eat option A. The squid is very spicy. The other meat options were better. Very cheap for an all you can eat korean place.

Came here for lunch one day and this place was nearly empty. I ordered the seafood soondubu and hubby ordered their dangjiang jigae. Both were just ok. Side dishes were not the best but they were delicious nonetheless and the staffs were very attentive and kept on filling them for us Overall a nice place. Not the best korean place but this will do when u are craving for korean food in the area

Been here twice so far. I like this place because of the«unlimited» bbq option for only $ 20~25! Other than that I am kind of skeptical about their cleanliness. The place feels kinda cramped. The waitstaff also isn’t very friendly and can act too familiar… They made fun of me/mocked me right in front of me because I was freaking out over something… It would also be very helpful if they could at least communicate with me effectively. In English, please. Would be back because of the decently priced unlimited BBQ which also tastes pretty good. If it wasn’t for that, I’d have avoided this place long ago.
