I hate writing reviews. First one ever. I was compelled to write as this place seems to be a good restaurant with apparent lack of leadership. In spite of some of the reviews criticizing the food, we found the food to be reasonably good, portions fair and prices based on the quality fair. We went there for lunch today and waited seven minutes before anyone even greeted us. Four wait persons were on the floor and they were all working very hard. Several tables needed bussing and you could clearly see frustration on the faces of wait staff as they seemed to be service friendly yet handicapped by poor leadership. We ordered salmon and they were out of it. There were 6 people in the kitchen and they were all working. In addition, there were three other management looking staff and they were not helping the wait staff and clearly lacked a passion for service. Our waiter was great and because of the food quality and service provided by the kitchen, we will probably return. As far as the management they deserve nothing more than an F.

I’ve been here a couple times now and the food is generally good. The service is almost always slow(really slow) and takes a minimum of 45 minutes to get your appetizer, much less the meal. Portions are hearty and, from what I have had, tasty. It is pretty pricey though!

The Table is a wonderful addition to the Flower Mound/Highland Village area. Upscale restaurant with amazing service & food. Our waiter was fun & knowledgeable about the menu… we ordered the grilled Caesar salad, beef ravioli, ribs, & lets not forget the tator tots!!! Delicious!!! The portions are perfect for sharing. The atmosphere was warm & cozy. Perfect date night restaurant!

I have been at the Table at least 5 times. The burger is the best I have ever tasted! I also had the arugula salad, butter leaf salad and the best bread pudding I have ever tasted. I love the staff and it is so refreshing to see smiling faces in the kitchen even when they are busy! It is so awesome to have the Table in Flower Mound! Kim Volpe

I was very disappointed. The appetizers, entrée and dessert were awful. My wife had the same experience. I had the burger. Under cooked and very greasy. My wife had the salmon. She said it was over cooked. The dessert was disappointing. The cobbler was not cooked long enough leaving the apples crunchy. The service was actually great. Maybe we just experienced a bad night from the chef but we suggest you pass.

The drinks are fab and service is great. My wife had a ravioli stuffed with braised beef that she raved about. Our salads were good as well. The Schnitzel is WAY overblown and is what is keeping me from giving this place 4 stars. No seasoning whatsoever and no au jus or gravy to add flavor. just a pounded paper thin pork cutlet with panko bread crumbs. Meh. I would never order it again. Oh, and I was intending to order some side like spinach or brussell sprouts et al. But, they didn’t offer any sides like this. I need some veggies and couldn’t get them here. But, we liked this place enough and I’m sure we’ll go again. Great atmosphere. Great waiter. Great drink menu.

Had a great lunch this week in this contemporary, inviting restaurant. I ordered the pretzel crusted schnitzel sandwich, a glass of Cabernet, and the vanilla bourbon bread pudding. My companion ordered the gulf shrimp po boy sandwich, a glass of Malbec, and we shared the dessert. The food was very fresh and well prepared, as well as very flavorful. Our server was lovely, and very knowledgeable about the menu, both food and drinks. Her service definitely enhanced our very nice dining experience.

Went there for a nice dinner with the family. The manager on duty couldn’t have been a bigger jerk when trying to find out about wait times. Vague at best. Just acted like he was butt hurt just for the mere fact of asking what the wait time would be. Rolled his eyes and gave a childish immature laugh when we decided to leave. I wasn’t even holding this against them that it was a long wait. Good for them for having demand. He came across as arrogant and tries to act like they are a 5 Star eatery. You are in the suburbs. Lose the uppity attitude. Keep treating customers like that and word will spread. After reading some other reviews, it seems I’m not the only one who has experienced this.

It pains me to only give this place 3 stars. The atmosphere and service is spot on. This is just the type of place the FM/HV area needs. I’ve been here twice. Once for lunch with a friend and once for dinner with my husband. For lunch we came in on a Saturday afternoon. This places closes from 3 – 5. I understand this is a slower part of the day, but the weekend? They are missing opportunities. We arrived just before 3 and they told us the kitchen was about to close, but if we hurry we can order. That’s fine, we sat at the bar and ordered a couple of sandwiches. While we waited we tried a couple of the martinis that the bartender suggested. Very tasty and just what I expected from the trendy place. Great wine list. I do think there prices are a little steep. I had he smothered steak sandwich. I would normally not order a steak sandwich, but I took the bartenders advice. So glad I did! It a wonderful tasty mess. Everything I expected and more. The potato salad that accompanied the sandwich was perfect. I would definitely order this again. Now comes the reason I gave this place a 3. Dinner. So disappointed. My husband and I frequent this type of place in Dallas, Plano and Frisco often. I want it to be great! We decided to share several plates so we could try more items. We started with the shareable ribs. Best thing we had! Great sauce, sweet and a little heat. I would order these again. Next we had the special, quail breasts. The flavor was okay. We love quail and excited it to see it as a special. It could have been a little more flavorful and the size was way smaller than we thought it would be for a breast. I know it’s quail, but still too small. Maybe add a few more pieces? The we shared the charred Caesar. It was a little too charred for me and WAY too small. Maybe there should be some pieces of uncooked romaine. Lastly, the tator tots. Big bummer! They are big and they looked really great when they brought them out. They were crunchy on the outside and mushy on the inside. Maybe they should be smaller? And the French onion dipping sauce is just weird. It tasted like gravy. We made the joke that we needed salt and ketchup. We noticed a little later that the table next us had order the tots and asked for salt and ketchup. Their’s was probably better. We are just glad we didn’t order the $ 50NY Strip. It just seems like they are trying a little too hard with the food. Martinis and some of the food is over priced for what it is. We will be back and hope they can make the food a little more flavorful. Then I will change this to a 5!

Not family friendly. No changing table and co-owner Bruce basically gave me a big middle finger and said the bathroom floor was the only option. Gross. Did have high chairs though. So confused as to what they’re going for here. It’s a shame. The atmosphere is lovely… rustic industrial. The cocktails creative, if not overly tart. Food, good not great with smaller than expected portions. Service was friendly. Not worth the drive to Flower Mound though when so many great hot spots in and closer to Dallas have kid friendly policies.(Cedar Social and Kenny’s to name a few.)You are welcome to disagree, but in an age of foodies who have kids, I’m just not willing to relegate myself to fast food/more obviously kid friendly environs. I don’t want my kid to only know fast food places and chains either. I expected more forward thinking from this local. I wanted to love it. Too bad the bad unfriendly attitude of management toward kids tainted the meal. Won’t be returning.

Skip reading the reviews and go. Very good food, custom drinks and a great date night. The bad reviews contradict themselves any way. One says not kid friendly and another says too kid friendly. My wife and I had the steak frites and the Cornish game hen. Both were great. Crispy arancini for an app was tasty especially with good wine and a perfectly made old fashioned. We randomly saw a some friends and acquaintances there and everyone was having a fun time. We will be back. * update: we came back and it’s still delicious. The panko crusted pork tenderloin is fantastic and a huge serving. Wife had the ravioli and loved it.

Food is better than most places in flomo. I think it is beautiful inside and has great craft cocktails. Pierogis were okay, too thick for this Polak. Flatbread had an okay dough as well. I need to try other items but the restaurant isn’t beckoning me back weekly or even monthly, maybe for special occasions?

My daughter wanted to eat dinner for her 18th birthday last night at Table. Great setting. We sat down. Waited 15 minutes for the waiter to order our drinks. Seemed like another 15 minutes went by before we got our drinks. One of our daughters ordered a glass of riesling. We had to ask twice to get it. They brought a glass of red… Then charged us for this in addition to the riesling she ordered. We ordered the shrimp and flat bread to start. Shrimp came. No plates… asked for plates. finally got up and walked into the kitchen to get plates. shrimp was good but cold by the time we got to it. flat bread needed seasoning but good. we had the salmon, schnitzel and burgers. all good. fries were cold. food was ok/good. service was lacking sorely.

We were excited to try this restaurant because we all know how Flower Mound needs trendy restaurants desperately. BIGLETDOWN! The servers clearly have not been properly trained, the place was not very busy yet we sat for a good 10 — 12 minutes before our server came to our table. We ordered Perogies to start with then their signature burgers for dinner. We probably waited 45 minutes for our food to come out. And the Perogies came out with the burgers. All the food was under cooked. When our food came we ordered more drinks which never came, and by the time our server came back to check on us we were finished eating and didn’t want them anymore! I tried to tell her about the problems and she really didn’t care, clearly she just wanted us out of there. She was actually trying to push dessert on us. Not offering it to us as a consolation nor did she offer to get the manager. A well trained server would have done either of those. Not a good experience, we probably won’t go back. Too pricy for the hassle!

I had high hopes of this new local restaurant, but was disappointed on our first trip. Let’s start with the LOUD ambiance. We thought this was going to be a good date night place, so left the kids at home. But to add to the LOUD noise was everyone else’s loud kiddos. So it’s officially a kid friendly place but NOT a date night place. They need to add sound absorption beams or something!!! At a minimum, table cloths might help with the extremely loud atmosphere. Now, let’s talk about the food. My husbands steak looked amazing and he enjoyed it. However, my salmon came out completely raw. Once the cooked it properly, it was delicious. But my husband was already done with his meal. No offer to make up for the mistake… I mean a free dessert or a glass of wine would have been nice since we couldn’t even eat together on our date night. Finally the décor needs a woman’s touch. It is very old & rustic look, which could be very cool. But something is missing. Again, might need a professional decorator to help pull together the idea. A weird cabinet ran across a wall. Then the owner mentioned they put cabinet doors on & inside was wine. SO sad because it’s WAY cooler to see the bottles of wine than a weird cabinet in a eatery. Plus all the old things in the lower shelves are just going to collect dust. Replace with candles & now you might create a cooler upscale atmosphere, to match the higher prices… If only the noise could get some help! We might give it another try maybe a few moths from now, when the rush calms down but do NOT recommend it for a date night if you want to hear the person across from you or have a conversation without yelling.

I don’t know if we had a random bad dinner experience or what. So… First off, this place is not kid friendly. You have kids, don’t bother bringing them. There was no kids menu and we asked the waitress if there was one, no. So we asked if there was anything cheaper & smaller for kids. She mentioned pasta and butter or grilled cheese. So we ordered the pasta for my son. It was ONLY pasta and butter, we were charged $ 12 for it. Secondly, when we arrived, the hostess could not even approximately tell us how long the wait would be. After continually asking and pushing, she said half hour to forty five minutes. So we noticed an empty table outside that needed to be cleaned and asked after about 15 minutes of waiting, and asked if we could have that table. It took about another half hour for her to let me know and for them to get it cleaned off for us to sit. Really? Lastly, the food was mediocre at best. Flower Mound does not have the best restaurant selections, other than fast food. I had HIGHHIGH hopes for this place. My daughter had the Wild Mushroom flatbread. It was pretty dry. My sons butter and pasta was WAY overpriced for what it was. I had the Crispy Arancini. It needed more aioli on it and unless you had a small plate to put them on, the bowl it comes in makes them kinda hard to eat. My husband had the Pierogies. They were just ok. Oh, and my dish was brought out way later than everyone else’s at our table. They were pretty well almost done by the time I got my food. There was no apology either. We spent a total of an hour and forty five minutes here. Not by choice. It took that long. It was extremely frustrating. Do I think this place is worth a try? No. It’s pricey for what it is. The dishes need to be more developed. Such a bummer.

After trying the dinner menu, The Table is still a solid 3.5 stars. Their menu is promising but needs more refining. Still a little pricey for the quality of some items. Needs to be more consistent. The Ricotta Lamb Meatball(4.5 stars) and the Bone-in Rib Eye(4 stars) are very good. The PEI Mussels, Schnitzel, and Duck Pot Pie fell short. The Lamb Meatball is very memorable and definitely worth returning for more. It was moist, tender, and packed with flavor. The polenta was cooked perfectly. The rib eye was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. It had a good sear. The potatoes needs to be more crispy. The mussels were overcooked. The broth was good but the hollandaise sauce didn’t belong on the mussels. The textures weren’t a good fit. To describe it simply, they put mayonnaise on soup. The schnitzel wasn’t bad, it was just underwhelming. The potatoes didn’t do much. It was just there. As Anonymous P. said, it wasn’t very German. The Duck Pot Pie had a good taste. Unfortunately, the underside of the crust was doughy. It could have used a little more time in the oven. Service was good but our server forgot to offer us dessert. We wanted to try the desserts but she dropped off the check before we could ask. Will RTE for the Lamb Meatballs.

When I was deciding between the Cornish Game Hen and the Schnitzel, my waitress strongly recommended the latter due to the restaurant’s German-Polish chef. That definitely set my expectations very high. Fortunately, I wasn’t disappointed. The pork in the schnitzel was very tender. The breading impossibly made the meat taste even better. In case there wasn’t sufficient amount of meat in the schnitzel, along with the potatoes, there were thick pieces of chopped pork underneath. As for the German potato salad, I thought I had it is my past. What was served was different but very delicious especially when eaten with the schnitzel. The restaurant definitely has a certain charm. The tables have look rustic look. Unfortunately, due to its construction, the surface isn’t flat. My plate was rocking slightly as I was cutting my food. A minor nuisance but one which persisted throughout my meal. I wanted to leave room for the dessert. A chocoholic can’t resist Chocolate Pot de Crème. The portion was very appropriate. I ate the dessert without feeling as if I’d are too much. I knew this was a new restaurant but didn’t realize how new. One of the owners stopped by my table and told me the place opened up 8 days ago. The staff appeared as if they had years’ worth of experience. The service(at least my waitress) was impeccable. My waitress stopped by the table several times. From my point of view, it appeared she wasn’t the only one to be that attentive.

Come and take a seat at The Table when dining out will be your evening’s entertainment. This new restaurant is a welcome addition within a recent wave of chef-owned restaurants in Flower Mound.(Complete with prohibition cocktails.) My wife and I started out with a couple of cocktails. She had the Floradora. A delicious mix of gin, raspberry, lime and ginger. I enjoyed the rather fitting Mean Olé Man with bourbon, lemon and orange. For dining, we enjoyed the Crispy Arancini. Come early and order this amazing small plate. These are creamy truffle balls of risotto with a crust of herbs, mushrooms, parmesan, and a yummy green herb aioli sauce. Before our server was able to inform us that this dish usually comes with four, our appetizer was free as we received the last three that were available. For our main dish, I chose The Table burger. A fine craft burger with 10 ounces of ground chuck, roll, caramelized onion chili relish, cheddar, pickles, and potato slices. The burger patty could use some more seasoning and flavor.(Although the rest of the burger was wonderful.) My wife had the«Schnitzel», which I will be ordering next time. With panko crusted pork tenderloin and a sunny-side-up egg on top of a German potato salad and arugula, this was a unique dish that delights the taste buds. We closed our evening with the Home Style Apple Spice Cobbler. With a scoop of Henry’s Vanilla Bean Ice Cream on top, this dish included a crispy cinnamon crust and warm fresh slices of apple. After all, The Table takes familiar traditional American dishes and mixes them up in the best way. We will be back… We only hope the menu will be expanded to include brunch. This chef-owned restaurant could pull off an amazing brunch menu. Pro-tip: Call ahead for reservations, or walk up to the bar for one of the delicious cocktails.

Wife and I were lucky enough to score an invitation to the soft open. We started with the Duck Confit and Apple Salad and the Homemade Salt & Vinegar Chips. The duck skin was perfectly crisp and the duck was melt in your mouth perfect. The chips were a great snacky beginning. The chips were small and a perfect bite size. For entrees my wife had the Pierogies, and I went with the Pan Seared Wild Salmon. She said the Pierogies were great. My salmon was cooked just right. The entrees continued to deliver following a great first course. For dessert we had the Chocolate Pot De Crème. It is served in a small glass container with a flip top lid. I tried to close the top of my wife’s and discourage her by telling her she probably wouldn’t like it. My bluff didn’t work. Let me say if there was ever anything near chocolate perfection, that was it. We’ll be back. This place is the real deal for some upscale dining in the area.
