On the one hand, I want to support this local eatery and I love the selection of bottled juices. On the other hand, I just paid $ 6 for a glass of pink milk. I feel like cullins has potential to be a really great lunch spot but it somehow misses the mark. Their food is pretty good, based on my own experience and that of trusted friends, but the«fresh» factor is a little dubious(How fresh can huge piles of food sitting around actually be…) and the smoothies and juice are nothing you can’t make at home but you’re really paying for the convenience. If you work in the area and need a little lunch, or you just worked out and want a smoothie made with actual fruit not fruit substitute… there’s cullins. But I can’t really see going there for any reason besides convenience.

Stopped in today hoping to find the owner of that delicious aroma from my last visit(earlier review). However this time I was met with an awful smell. Not sure if they were having a plumbing issue or just preparing something rank. This was a red flag. And had I not been starving I could have made a more informed decision and WALKEDOUT. Yet I pressed on and ordered a piece of the tuna I had last time w/green sauce. Looked fresh. Got back to the office ate a few bites — again very raw but good. So I thought until I caught a whiff of not so nice fish smell. I would write more but sprinting to the restroom… Thanks Cullins

The skirt steak sandwich special along with the butternut squash soup was perfect for a rainy day.

Overall: Customer service is horrible, food is below average, juices are alright. I was in the area so decided to explore this place, have gone to similar concept restaurant at other towns so thought it would have good choices. There was no other customer in the restaurant except me. They have ‘fresh” in their name so you expect that you will be able to get something fresh. I ordered the combo with veggie burger + brown rice with vegetables + quinoa pilaf. The burger had a «sea food» smell, brown rice were stale and quinoa was cold and sweeter. I couldn’t even eat a single bite. I went to the person who was at the counter. explained the problem — he made a weird face and said what smell? those are veggies. ! just wasted $ 15 bucks on something which I couldn’t eat. They need to realize there are plenty of similar restaurant out there and with this type of food quality and service they will not got far.

Went into this place for lunch but what was once a pleasant appealing place seems to have lost its sparkle. At noon the place was empty and employees did not greet us, so we just left and went elsewhere.

Just ate here for lunch today. Got the roasted chicken w/curry cauliflower and brown rice special, and a side of brussel sprouts. This is my go to healthy place to eat after hitting up the gym. They’ve got a lot of healthy options, you can’t go wrong here! Highly recommend it.

I took me and my son to eat for lunch. The food was pretty good. As I was leaving I saw one of the chefs making a big vat of soup. He took a spoon to taste it and then pulled some food out of his mouth and put it back into to soup. Then spat in it. I seriously almost threw up on the spot!!! I mean I totally just ate a whole meal that they prepared!!! I will NEVER step foot in there again.

I agree with the reviewer that said this is a nice change of pace from a normal deli. Everything is overpriced but quality, freshness and taste make up for it. There is a small make your own salad bar and tons of prepared foods in cases. The chicken eggplant rollatini and seared raw tuna were excellent. Plenty of inside and outside seating. A great choice for lunch!

Was on way to Starbucks for coffee and breakfast fare, decided to try their breakfast, thinking fresh food versus pre packed food… upon entering I was distracted by healthful gaggle of young people on their way to/from gym waiting for smoothies to be made from big menu of life altering combinations of ingredients so I committed to improve my immune system during cold season. I decided to try a healthful carrot, ginger, apple, parsley smoothie… I need to acquire taste for that… I drank ¾ of the small size and ordered Multi-Grain pancakes with walnuts, which were lovely, priced nice $ 4.95 and I ate ½ of 3 and was on my way. Very nice presentation of the lunch fare being put out, I made note to stop here for lunch. Reminded me of California or Manhattan neighborhood style fare. Good alternate to mass produced competition nearby.

I give this place 4.5 Stars. I go there quite often for lunch and I really enjoy there huge selection of fresh, healthy food that tastes great — including their fresh veggie/fruit smoothies. They offer daily lunch specials(entrée with two sides for $ 6.99).

Another one of my favorite places. Fresh, wholesome food for the soul. They have homemade crab cakes, turkey burgers, almond chicken, and lots of tasty options that are good for your body. They also have a great selection of smoothies!

While not inexpensive, the staff is very friendly and the food is extremely healthy/fresh. Tables indoors and outdoors, making it great for an informal lunch!

review #400 lucks out and gets to be the good one! so right after lunch at China Chalet, I was reminded of the fact that my recent plan to pull the sun closer into Earth’s orbit was a bit TOO successful. it was DAMN hot out, and I had several hours to kill before a wedding rehearsal. lo and behold, in the same strip mall, there’s this place advertising smoothies. well, giddy the fuck up, let’s roll! beyond the basic smoothies(mango, pineapple, raspberry, etc), there are options to make your own combinations, or there are also a few premade options. I went with the… wait for it… peanut butter + banana + strawberry smoothie. this freakin’ thing was incredible. a menage a trois of flavor, if you will. it was $ 4.75 well spent(the large option costs about 6 bucks). my only regret was getting the small size, which I finished pretty damn fast. hey, it was 110 degrees out, Broseph Stalin! they also have sandwiches, veggie burgers, salads, breakfast plates… mostly veering towards healthier options.

They always have yummy fresh healthy lunch options– it’s so tough to decide what to get! They have a changing variety of sandwiches, soups, proteins, sides, burritos, quiches… am I missing anything? Oh yes and a salad bar. The price is not much more than you would pay for the same old fast food junk so it’s definitely worth it.

Perfect for the kind of person who is on-the-go and trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle. No other lunch joint in the area does the job as well as they do. I’ve attempted a number of different approaches to nutrition — classic American fat-guy, vegetarian, and Paleo. For those of you who have tried the latter 2 of these 3 options, you understand just how much of a pain in the ass it is to try and find a place that conforms to your culinary needs. Well, Cullins will meet these needs. Roughly 80% of the food they serve is either vegan, vegetarian, or Paleo-friendly. My favorites include the sesame tuna(sushi grade and DAMN good with the sauce it comes with), seared salmon, butternut squash soup, lentil soup, grilled eggplant, broccoli rabe, almond-crusted perch/tilapia, green beans, and sweet potatos w/raisins(finally, a way to serve the healthiest vegetable in the world that doesn’t include drowning it in butter, brown sugar and syrup!). They have a smoothie bar that is great to stop at on the way to wherever you’re going in the morning. $ 3 – 7 for a smoothie prepared from fresh fruit and yogurt right in front of you(or veggies/whatever«health boosts» you want to add). You’d be hard-pressed to find a better way to start your morning than with some nice dark carbs and a little yogurt for staying power. I rate this place 5⁄5 stars, as far as lunch/deli type places go. The food is great and the staff is friendly. Cullins has yet to let me down. They are a bit pricey, but really not bad considering the caliber of food you’re getting. Sub sandwich at your average sub shop: $ 7. Salmon, sweet potatos, and green beans at Cullins: roughly $ 11. Why not spend the extra few bucks for a REAL meal? They prepare their food fresh every morning. So if you’re going to complain about the quality of the food at night… well, what do you think is going to happen when you walk into a luncheonette while they’re cleaning, mopping, and wrapping food at 5pm? One other note… the salad bar isn’t worth it. But why would you go there for salad in the first place? If you want salad, go to Saladworks.

It’s a gourmet deli but it feels like any deli to me. They got me walking in this place because as I’m walking into Kings, there was a half price sign on everything inside starting at 4 pm on Saturday. Not a bad deal if you want to have a party and clean out their place. I entered at 5 p. m and most of the interesting items were sold out. I got only balsamic chicken and mashed potatoes. The chicken was dry and tasteless… mashed potatoes were fine but thinking I could make this at home. This place is for people who don’t have time to cook at home. I rather go to Trader Joe’s which is just around the corner.

It’s an expensive alternative to the various local delis. With a fresh salad, and tasty-looking displays, there comes a price. While they don’t claim to be organic, they are certainly fresh — the ingredients look to be quality and the place has a neat, clean feeling to it. They need more than one person at the sandwich/panini station, though. Speed here is appallingly slow, but they do bring out the sandwiches to you. Get the specials — they’re easy to order, and the price is listed. Try to make a custom sandwich, and you could be paying upwards of $ 10+ for something you want to put together on your own. The homemade mango iced tea — only a hint of mango, unsweetened. Not really worth it. Avoid getting pineapples in your paninis, too, the Hawaiian would’ve been better had the pineapple not been so hard. Soup was watery and not exciting — I’ve tried the chicken & rice as well as the split pea(normally more creamy, according to a coworker). The salad looks promising, and at $ 5.49 /lbs, one of the cheaper items there. Sourdough is the way to go for self-made sandwiches. The scene — healthy, business people, for the most part. Younger college students in running gear show up here a lot, too. Overall, walked out less than satisfied with taste, although I was full.
