Ordered from them at 9 on a Monday from grub hub, food never showed. Don’t order from this dump. it’s one thing to order and never show up, it’s another to charge you on grub hub, then never show up. Because now I have to call the ever on hold customer service line to try and get a refund that won’t get back on my card for another week!

On Black Friday a few friends always get together; share food(usually leftovers) drink, jam, and whatever. After taking a walk in nearby Pennypack Park(including checking out the King’s Highway Bridge), we found ourselves in Holmesburg. As it was too late to order from Jack’s Place(as we usually do), & I remember bookmarking this place. We ordered a large pizza w/grilled veg. a veggie wrap, + an order of hand-cut fries. The pizza was very good. The veggies were onions, sweet & bell peppers, broccoli and mushrooms. They were briefly sauteed on a flat-top, so I guess that technically was grilled. They were mostly in the center of the pie however. The crust was good, as was the sauce, and ample amounts of cheese made for an above average pizza. Too bad it was cold by the time we got it home, which was only a five minute drive. So were the fries. They were tasty, not overly salted nor greasy. You get a huge amount per order($ 5), but were pretty much soggy because of the huge amount piled together. The garlic parm aoili was O.K., could have used more garlic. You can get these fries as poutine, or w/other toppings for an additional $ 1 – 4.The veggie wrap was standard, but decent. All this food was just over $ 30, which seemed a tad high. An OK augmentation to our leftovers; I say this place has better than average pizza & fries, but is not so special as to want to return soon, or to try other stuff they serve. Definitely Jack’s Place next time.

They were out of the basic ingredients of sandwiches when we called and also could not make poutine fries as they wet out of those as well. They seemed exasperated when we cancelled the order rather than change it a third time. They had good food but have gone down hill fast. Bummer.

They used to be the best, with higher quality sandwiches and poutine. not the same exact menu as every other pizza place on the ave… then they shut down without as much as a phone recording to let customers know… they reopened for a a really short period of time with a crappier menu, cheaper prices but very poor quality – and two weeks later it’s closed again… There’s a thousand regular pizza places to choose from in Mayfair – it’s a shame we don’t have any unique places left

This place has gone downhill fast. When it first opened, it was consistently good, whether ordering a pizza, sandwich or poutine fries. All this being said, the regular pizza with sausage that I ordered on July 5th was possibly the WORST pizza I have ever had. The cheese blend managed to be completely flavorless despite having about 3 times too much. The sparsely used tomato sauce also had no flavor whatsoever. The slices of sausage were fine but sausage crumbles work better on pizza. The crust was so thin and undercooked towards the middle of the pie that when we picked up a slice, the bland glob of cheese would slide right off. Flavorless and poorly put together. What a dissapointment. I had high hopes for them.

Used to be one of my favorite spots in the Northeast. But has not been good the last two times. I had a Caesar salad today. Shrimp smelled bad and didn’t taste good either. Dressing was heavy and lacked flavor. Before that I had a slice of Sicilian pizza. I almost threw up.

Disappointed with this place. Had vey high hopes. The girl at the front counter was very nice and helpful. Now on to the food. Got the Texas fries. The fries were nasty. The oil was old and you can tell. The fries were just nasty. The short rib was good the fries itself we’re very very salty and the cheese curds were interesting overall not a fan. I also got the mojito cherry wings. Very strange and sorry but those flavors just didn’t taste well and was very strange. The pineapple soy wings were ok but were lacking flavor. Overall I wasn’t impressed and I don’t think I’ll be coming back.

As of yet, I have gotten take out only. Tried the putine. Tried the pizza. Chicken marsala was good, but a little too heavy on the pasta. My go to dish: pulled pork tacos — Delish! Done right with a slaw and a crema on top. Three stars for an overall good meal. But five stars for my fave.

Eat in if you truly want to experience how good the food is here. Specials are always something delicious. Really good pizza and wings. Pouting fries were not our thing but all there other fries that we tried were super tasty, especially the pulled pork fries

A+ all the way! Our household consistently likes to order the Memphis fries, bacon ranch chicken pizza and the roast pork sandwich… all which are absolutely phenomenal ;) A little bit more on the pricey side but absolutely worth it. I have only ordered delivery but always with confidence that it will arrive in a quick manner! Perfect comfort food I give highly recommend!

I have been in this place a few times. I’ve never ordered delivery because I think a place like this one should actually go in and eat there. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is laid back and the décor is interesting, to say the least. It does get pretty cold in there, which is one of my only negatives. Now on to the food — it’s delicious! They’re fries are crispy(that’s why I wouldn’t get delivery because I’m sure that’s why other reviews say they’re soggy — not true, just go inside the restaurant)! They’re sandwiches and burgers are also very good. All homemade, even the burger! I’ve also been with large groups and small and the staff accommodates all sizes. I look forward to continuing to go here and try some of their specials — tacos look great! Again, stop being lazy and get your butts inside this place! You won’t regret it!

Fries soggy and cold, cheese steak cold, 45 mins late and I only live a quarter mile away. Absolutely horrible. Only 1 delivery driver on a Sunday afternoon

I had a hot, fresh slice of chicken-bacon-ranch white pizza and it was amazing! Crust was just a little crunchy, not doughy or chewy. The toppings were tasty, big pieces of meat. I’d say the décor is nice enough to sit down with your family or a casual date. Did I mention they’re super friendly? Free refills on fountain drinks. I’m definitely gonna try the gourmet sandwiches next time, there are 9 types, each named after a North East Philly neighborhood. The Philly themed mural is well done and contains local iconography, neat to look at. They should open a GOOD pizza shop like this in South Philly just like this one, we could use a fresh menu down there. Commonwealth Kitchen 2!

Very disappointed. Brand new place, awesome reviews, over priced meals. Fries were soggy and half done — lacking taste and salt. Mild Wings were meaty but flavor was odd, like a thick spicy cheese. Burger was average tasting. Delivery was average in timing. Counter girl that took the order seemed slow or new. Way over priced though. I could have ordered better food closer to my house for cheaper. Won’t be ordering from here again. I don’t understand how they have all of these great reviews.

Best food ever. Try the loaded fries and boneless wings. Garlic knots were a perfect app. Everything looks amazing, staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Love the philly mural on the wall… the whole place is aces in my book! we’ll be enjoying many meals here, as we live around the corner and they deliver!!! Woo Hoo!

Everything I have tried over my 2 visits to Commonwealth Kitchen has been excellent. This is the best food in the northeast hands down. The roast pork is right on par with the best from south philly, and I would never say that loosely. Their burgers actually made me dislike others that were previously in higher regard. The poutine… Wow!(Don’t be scared of cheese curds, you’re just doing yourself a grave injustice) I have also tried the smoked turkey and smoked gouda sandwich, and that was also amazing. I haven’t had cheesesteaks or pizza yet, but I can’t wait to try them. This place is a breath of fresh air to the northeast. If you want some great fresh food and you don’t feel like traveling, this is where you want to eat.

This place is awesome. In a world where there are a million«pizza joints» all doing the same thing, Commonwealth Kitchen has stepped it up with their menu. I went with my family. Totally kid friendly. We had hoagies, burgers, and dessert. I have to say all were phenomenal. EVERYTHING is homemade and fresh. The poutine fries are AWESOME. Anyone from NY/NJ would recognize these as gravy fries. Like I said they have all the neighborhood pizza place standards but turned up a notch, and they have kept the prices normal. This place is brand new but it will be a NE Philly mainstay soon. Awesome family owned spot. Highly recommend.

I tried Commonwealth Kitchen this evening for the first time, and I will say I was very impressed. First of all, I am so pleased to see a place like this in my neighborhood. I think it’s the perfect addition. The dining area is really cool looking and the whole place is incredibly clean. I had the Holmesburger and Hubby had the CW Special. We were both pretty blown away by our burgers. They had a ton of flavor and all the toppings were really balanced. We also shared an order of poutine and it was fantastic! I can’t even describe how happy I am to be able to finally get poutine in my neighborhood. This is definitely the beginning of a long, prosperous relationship. Welcome to the neighborhood, CK! You guys are the real deal.

I know they only opened very recently but I must say they are a breath of fresh air in Northeast Philly. Everything and I mean everything is homemade. The only frozen item in the store is the milkshake. I really suggest the poutine fries. They are made with Wisconsin cheese curd, homemade gravy and hand cut fries. Oh my god! So delicious. I will update as I eat more. But you must try them.
