This is an ok Chinese restaurant… I go there very seldom… the food needs some flavor or color or something, the waitress she kinda … indifferent. … is like she doesn’t want to be working, I asked for lemons and she brought me some who looked really bad… the sweet and sour sauce was really watery so It was the hot mustard. … we didn’t eat any of it… so I think that would be the last time I go there… unless they fixed those little things.

2nd time here, tasteless, was told no lunch special, only dinner special, fried rice had no vegetables or meat, just rice and soy sauce, chow mein was tasteless and watery, added the dinner special which is 3.00 a person times 3 and got one small bowl of fried rice and whit rice. Waitress was lazy and poor service. Won’t go back again, not impressive at all. Seemed to be skimping on ingredients and food. Don’t waste your money.

I ate here the other day for lunch. The generals chicken is pretty good, so was the crab wontons. The food is s solid 4. The reason I gave a 3 is because the waitress was not too friendly and seemed like it was an inconvenience that we were there.

We had a great lunch experience. Would recommend possibly adding photos of the food items to the menu.

The food was pretty meh. bland and greasy. The prices were more than I was expecting for the amount and quality of food. the restaurant décor is a little more upscale, i guess.

Just stopped in for lunch — it’s 11:22 — supposedly opened at 11 — just me & my husband in here — was told they had to clean a table as they just opened. Waitress went in the back area — yelled for us to come to the back — when we got to the back, she just pointed to a table that had menus on it. She walked away & turned on the AC as it’s quite stuffy in here. Took a while to come back to get our drink order, then a while again to take our order. We ordered the soup choice & was told it would be a while as they had to make it because they just opened. If your sign indicates that you open at 11, then you need to be ready to serve your customers at 11! I like the food here, but I don’t intend on returning due to poor planning & service.

While visiting friends in Fernley, we discovered the hidden gem in a shopping center! We all ordered something different and every dish surpassed the one before! We had egg rolls, wonton with cream cheese, chicken wings, fried shrimp, won ton and egg drop soup, asparagus beef, orange prawns, lemonchicken, chow mein, and pork fried rice, all of which were fresh and very tasty. We were all stuffed and then they brought the mango mousse cake, so be sure they save room! They are open 7 days, they offer delivery and their dining room is lovely. Even though it was busy, the servivce was excellent and we were treated like family. Well worth a stop for dinner!

I love this place and have had nothing, but great service. The owner always talks to me and remembers me making me feel like I’m family… I love the honey walnut prawns. Yummy

We were pleasantly surprised when we walked in. It had a nice welcoming décor and very clean. All the food was delicious! Cream cheese filled wontons and egg tools were crisp and not greasy. Had the Mongolian shrimp over steamed rice. Service was great, our orders were taken quickly and our glasses were never empty

Good Chinese food in a small town. This is a quiet and very clean restaurant. Only dine-in but it is worth a trip. The General Tso, Sesame, and Lemon chicken are great.

I’ve always loved Louie’s, always had awesome customer service there until we booked the conference room for a local organization. We didn’t have as many people show up as were supposed to. We had 5 show up and 4 of us ate(at about $ 20 a person) but that wasn’t enough people and we didn’t order enough so he won’t allow us to use his conference room anymore. He was very rude about it. We like to support local businesses. He also lost my business as an individual too. It’s sad because it’s one of the best places in Fernley to eat.

Not sure what’s up with some of these bad reviews. We’ve stopped here about 3 – 4 times over the years and each time has been good. The food is your standard Chinese food you expect anywhere. Why we rate it higher as the taste, cuts of meat and veggies seem to better than your normal Chinese food place. Also the décor is very nice and clean. Louie is very nice and we’ve even chatted with him and his wife during a late night we came in right before closing.

We gave this place a try again, just to see… boy was I disappointed! DONOTEATHERE! We ordered sweet and sour pork, pork was old. Everything tasted old and reheated. The coke was flat, we asked for some fresh coke, she did. A bit later she refilled with the flat coke! I told her NOOOOOO! This food was horrible, your best bet is to go to China King Buffet!

I moved to Fernley from the east a couple years ago. Chinatown in Philly has wonderful Chinese food, including dim sum. Louie’s is far and away the best Chinese food you will find in Fernley or Fallon, and compares favorably with food in some of the best places in Philly that cost at least twice as much. Of course, you can go to Joy Tsin Lau or some other high-priced place and get it as good as it gets, but for Fernley, Louie’s is a breath of fresh air. Easily the best restaurant in Fernley. I lived in Singapore for three years, and I think I know real Chinese food. American tastes are somewhat strange, frequently not appreciating authentic Chinese cooking. Louie does many dishes at an excellent level. My wife and I go there frequently. Louie will customize a dish for you(low sodium, spiciness, dish not on menu, etc.). Now, to be realistic, food in Singapore was better — it would be a real shocker if it weren’t, but Louie’s is very flavorful and a real bargain. Louie always greets us personally and usually comes out and talks with us in our booth. The décor is very good and comfortable. Food is cooked upon ordering — not prepared in advance and reheated, like many Chinese places. It still comes out in a timely fashion. Give Louie’s a try — especially General Tso’s Chicken, Honey Walnut Shrimp, or even Egg Foo Yung — you will never do poorly. Thank goodness there is at least one decent place to go in Fernley.

This restaurant is horrible! I ordered Chinese chicken salad. It came with lettuce that was wilted and brown. I told them that it wasn’t good and that I didn’t want it and instead of offering me something else they wanted to charge me for it. I told them that it wasn’t good and I will not pay for it. I refuse to go back. It’s been about a year and a half.

Kinda nasty, I’ve been here twice and both times weren’t very good. I ordered generals chicken both times and it tasted different both times both times I ordered it extra spicy and both times it was extra unspectacular the fried chicken was gooey and the sauce was really sweet. The restaurant is decorated nicely and both times I went it wasn’t crowded. Both time the service was ok. Probably a nice place to grab the kids and do an inexpensive family dinner.

Looking for a good or great place to eat in Fernley or Fallon is difficult, if not impossible. I have been to Louie’s probably 25 times in the last year. I can honestly say that almost all of my visits have been very good. The food is always made to order, the menu is large, Mr. Louie is always friendly and greets you as you walk in. The atmosphere is great, very clean, open, modern, slightly upscale in Fernley. Great for 2 people on a date, families or a large group. They do have a banquet room! I have tried a lot of the items on the menu and I can«honestly» say there are a few items I do not really care for and lots of items that I love. Every chef has his personal touch and you have to experiment to find what you really love. Visiting once, ordering two items and never coming back(as some have posted) because you didn’t like them is ridiculous. Insulting the owner or staff that you are never coming back will not help your small town either. Give constructive suggestions or comments please or you will lose dining options in the long run. My honest assessment is: The Won Ton soup has been consistently good, as has the General Tso Chicken. The Honey Walnut Shrimp is outstanding. The Curry Chicken is good too. They don’t have Orange Chicken on the menu but they made it for us and it was also very good. I am not a big fan of the fried rice however. The steamed white rice is good. The Beef and Broccoli and Beef and Asparagus was flavorful and enjoyable too. I order one new item every couple of visits and so far nothing has been bad, mostly really good. The other«Chinese» options is Fernley or Fallon are easily two stars below Louie’s. There is absolutely nothing better in this category for at least 30 miles. If you go here and love it great, keep supporting it. If you dislike something here ask for Mr. Louie and tell him what’s wrong so he can make it right. It will go a long way in helping your local community understand your desires and pleasures, and make corrections to items not well received. I highly recommend this restaurant!

I’ve been twice now, and both trips were pretty good. Not too expensive, not too crowded(Fernley, after all…) and the food hit the spot! I like that they allow you to order(for 2 bucks more per plate) a soup, shrimp(1), egg roll(1) and a cheese thingy(1) as an appetizer. My wife liked everything, as did I.

Well now I have definitely experienced the WORST food in Nevada. where to start, We ordered 3 entrees and 2 sides on Sunday June 9th2013 at 5:15 P.M. from this“Chinese restaurant” each container of food was worse than the next, appearance, smell, taste and texture were all appalling. the dumplings were so tough and old i couldn’t bite through to taste it, the orange chicken had chunks of orange peel and was so old the chicken was too tough to chew, the«chicken fried rice» was in fact pork that was old, dry foul, the sweet and sour pork was horrific. needless to say we tossed it all in the trash as the owner refused to refund our money or cook us fresh food… steer clear of this place.
