Usha’s Alteration & Tailoring

I have been searching for a reliable and reasonable Tailor for some time now and that’s exactly what I found in Usha! She did 5 pairs of pants for me and a bridesmaid dress. I thought the dress would be difficult as the sheer, ruffled bottom needed to be taken up in addition to other things but she did a wonderful job. My pants and jeans turned out great as well. I highly recommend Usha!

It’s difficult to find an affordable and reliable place for alterations. We just happened to stumble upon Usha on Unilocal and decided to give it a go!
The location was a hop, skip, and a jump from where I live in Fenton, and the studio is actually in Usha’s home — trust me, Unilocal did not steer us wrong. Going inside, you’ll see racks of clothing, bridesmaid dresses and other items that are either finished or waiting to be done. My husband had 3 of his suits altered and a stack of jeans hemmed! On average, it takes about 3 – 5 business days depending on how many items of clothing you have. I had jeans hemmed for $ 10 for regular, and I believe $ 15 for original. Very reasonable compared to where I used to go.
Usha is very warm, friendly, and professional. It’s like going to my aunt’s house to visit because she is so welcoming! Her work is remarkable and I hardly use those adjectives in a review. She definitely knows what she’s doing :)

I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and service. She has done work on several of my suits, pants and jackets and always does an excellent job.

Usha does beautiful work at a reasonable price. Custom work? No problem. Several members of my family have taken their tailoring needs to Usha and been more than satisfied by her work. Today, I am wearing a top she made for me, using only my measurements and one fitting. I love the top and it makes me feel good to wear clothing that fits me in a way that store bought clothing cannot. I highly recommend her work.
