this place reminds me of my mama’s soup~ the soup is very clean tasting and the meat is very high quality! I like mine with just tendon in it, and with dat purple rice and kimchi…(drooling as I type this) makes this place a go to for me whenever I’m back home! Their mandoo is also very tasty, give this place a try!

Great family style restaurant for sul lun tang. They have other branches in the Seattle area as well. I usually order the knee bone noodle soup. The rest of the stuff, like the pancake isn’t so great.

My friend and I decided to try to find some new Korean places to eat. I saw this one on Unilocal and decided to try it out. I had a cold so I definitely wanted something soupy and I always saw this in korean dramas/shows haha. This location is kind of dark at night so it was kind of hard to find. But once we found it, we walked in and was seated right away. Everything was very clean and the menu was really simple, only had a few things. I asked the man what was most popular and he suggested some items, I ordered the brisket sullung tang, dumplings, and my friend ordered the mixed sullung tang all with glass noodles. The man was very nice, since it was our first time he explained everything. Service was great. Our food came out and I was pleased! The broth is simple but it’s meant for you to season it yourself with the salt and chili paste. The radish and kimchi was great and the dumpling were delicious as well :] For someone that had a cold, this was most ideal and I was so full after! I will definitely come back again :]

Best Korean beef soup and kimchi I have ever had! Mixed meat is good because you get a little bit of everything and the radish kimchi is amazing, it gives me life. Good portions and endless kimchi!

Delicious– Super nice service — best kimchi sides The seasoning is all up to you which is the best part. The flavor is simplistic and delicious. I would recommend this to anyone who is interested in testing out the Korean Beef Soup for the first time!

This place is legit!!! Menu is simple — their specialty is the bone broth soups. So simple but perfect. You select the type of noodles you want — clear or rice noodles. You adjust the seasoning with the sea salt and pepper at the table. The cabbage and radish Kim Chee is perfect!!! Not too pickled/old. Very fresh and just the perfect flavor! I burned my entire mouth(no joke) devouring and savoring the dish. I would gladly burn it again. I wish I could find one back home(Bay Area) that is comparable. This is the closest to K-town in LA. I’m definitely back here on my next trip to Seattle.

Best slt ever! I personally think it’s better than any slt I’ve had in LA. The soup and portions are always consistent. Kimchi is amazing too! My family’s go to spot! My parents drive all the way down from Mukilteo to get their fix, if that doesn’t say enough then… ^_^

Having lived a mile away from LA’s K-Town for four years, I like to think that I’ve acquired the ability to discern the good from the bad Korean food. The sullung tang here is definitely good Korean food. The broth is done very well and it is very savory. In addition, portion sizes are fairly large compared to what I’ve come to expect in LA; either the bowl is wider or deeper. Add that to the fact that they don’t skimp out on the glass noodles and you get a very full stomach. I will definitely be coming back to this quaint soup stop in the coming winter months.

I lived in LA for 4 years, eating at the highest rated sul lung tang spot in my opinion this place is bomber! The flavor of the meats(I get the mixed meats option) is clean and well cooked(tendon). The broth is «thick» meaning the bones have been boiled for a long time making a smooth and flavorful broth! AND the kimchi and gak du ki is bomber than the k town spot. The interior has got this really homey/divey Korean hole-in-the-wall vibe that I like. When I eat wholesome Korean soup I don’t need Korean dramas playing at every angle, K-Pop or anything. Give me a table, bench and a hot bowl of sul lung tang.

We spent the morning tramping through the forest in the rain, and when we spied this on Unilocal,we figured it would do the trick to warm up and dry out. This is so much more than that! The soup is amazingly flavorful and can change with your individual taste depending on your choices. The Kimchee Radish is both flavorful and cooling at the same time. And the Kimchee Cabbage reminds me of my college days; having homemade Kimchee veggies with a co-worker to start the 5am shift! I had the brisket sullung tang and the DH had the mixed sullung tang and he raved about the tender tripe and tendon, the brisket and tongue were super moist for sure. This is for the western pallet, adventurous, but the kind of comfort food you didn’t know you wanted until you’ve had it! The service was super helpful and attentive. This was just a wonderful experience.

If I closed my eyes and just listened and smelled, I would have thought I was back in Korea! Having lived in Korea for six years I was looking for a Korean soup place and I guess the name was all I needed. I was hoping they had some mandu soup, and they did. It was really good and brought back memories of Korea. This food was about as close as you can get to the food in Korea. Also, I want to point out the kimchi was very tasty! This was a great experience and I would definitely try the Sullungtang.

Best kimchi that I’ve had in Washington! There only about ten menu items here, but repeat of 5. This place is known for their sullungtang which is a beef/oxtail fatty broth, served plain with noodles and sliced meat. There is salt on the table for you to season your broth to preference and you will be given pepper paste and green onions to add to the soup. Served with cabbage and radish kimchi with rice. You can eat it however you like, kimchi in soup, kimchi on rice, kimchi added after drinking soup. It’s all good! The dumplings here are delicious too.

Needed to drive back to the north part of Seattle from Tacoma and didnt want to sit in traffic. Thought, «Hey, I keep hearing how good Federal Way Korean is» and so I Unilocaled this restaurant. Found it; small hole-in-the-wall at the back of a plaza(a little hard to find): I already like it. Simple sides but in a traditional Korean beef soup restaurant, that’s par for the course. The kimchee and ggak du gi were good but not off the hook good like I’ve had at comparable restaurants. Had the beef brisket sulung tang with clear noodles for $ 8.99(small bowl of purple rice served with it). The meat was clean and the broth tasty after adding salt(which you do with this soup). Added the green onions, black pepper and I was ready to go. Came here at 5:30 on a Friday night and there was no wait and quick service. The ah ju mah waiting was pretty friendly and spoke a little English, Spanish, and a lot of Korean. Plenty of free parking in front. A number of take out as I write this. Ate this hot(temperature) soup on an unseasonably warm day. Maybe this is why it’s not giving me that«Oh wow!» response… BUT, I can see how it could if I had some more cold. Still 4 stars.

Was in Federal way and wanted some Korean food, saw that this place has high rating so we decided to give it a try. We walked in here without knowing anything about sul lung tang so when they brought out a huge bowl of onion and kimchi we were a bit confused. You have to add salt yourself to your liking. Once you add salt, onion, and kimchi juice it was pretty good. The menu is very short and simple but it was perfectly fine. Service is a little weird, since the server didn’t speak much English and practically disappeared after the food came out. We had to go up to the counter at the end to ask for the check and pay.

This place is awesome. No frills, a couple of items(basically you have your choice of meats and the type of noodle) on the menu, and you go to work with salt/onions/chili paste and eat with kimchi and radish. I love the kimchi and radish here, it always seems to be top notch(the kimchi is always the fresh, unripe version which has more sweetness vs. the sour ripe variety you’d find at most establishments, while the radish has a nice sweet and sour flavor from the ripeness). I always leave happy!
