The service was good. I had the bulgogi and the seafood casserole. The bulgogi had lots of flavor however the casserole(soup) was a little bland. The seafood in the soup were probably frozen because it didn’t taste fresh. Overall it was a mediocre experience.

Good food but wish the service is good too. Their cold noodle(naengmuun) is good but pork wrap(bo ssam) was terrible.

I eat here every week and think about it everyday. You know its good and authentic when you walk in because there nothing but Koreans in here. Everything that i ordered was good. I always order the mackeral and seafood soup(soon do boom) I think thats how you spell it. Comes with all the delicious sides. Even an extra beef and squash soup. OMG doesnt get any better.

Here’s the thing, the food tastes okay here. But the service is less than mediocre(even for Korean restaurant standards). And the biggest problem I have with this place is the amount of MSG they use. Every time I eat here I feel the MSG after effects. For that reason, will not go back to this place. Other places in town that have better food and less MSG.

I came here today and man BESTSOONDUBU ever. and let me tell you, I’ve eaten my way all along the west coast, from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Also, soondubu just happens to be my favorite food of all time so I’m pretty picky about it. My mom knew of this place and we came after a longggg day taking care of biz in canada and on our drive down. It was pretty crowded considering we got in around 7:30 and it was Memorial Day. We seated ourselves, and promptly ordered after looking at the extensive menu. My dad ordered the spinach galbitang, my mom ordered the ssuko(mixed) soondubu and I asked them to make mine just all clams which they did nicely. Our service was pretty darn great, there was this one guy who was amazing and just so nice. He brought out the food probably in 15~20 minutes, and said they were making more rice and that it just took a little longer, so he brought out just a plain bowl of white rice, and said he’d bring out the new hot one but we said it was enough so he didn’t. The food was fairly prompt as well, and they also brought out a bunch of different banchans, like potato maraconi, seaweed, broccoli with spicy sauce, sardines, dongchimi, kimchi, etc. My soondubu was PIPING hot for the longest time, and it was the perfect consistency. The good places all have their soups a bit thick, and they put SO many clams in it was amazing. I also loved that they had black rice which makes your rice purple and healthier. My dad’s food was good though he said the meat was on the tough side and he spit something inedible out. Ambiance is nothing because it’s a hole in the wall korean place and it shows. The décor is nothing, and it’s pretty crowded but the place was freakin poppin because even around 8:30 a bunch of pretty big parties were coming in to eat. Anyways, this place was certainly memorable, really great soondubu.

The food is really good and cheap! The service is nice! I would definitely recommend this place. There is only 1 other Korean restaurant in Federal Way that I would eat at, but it more traditional Korean BBQ and very expensive! This is a great alternative! Their soon doo boo is the best EVER! Even my Korean mother will eat it and she doesn’t usually like doo boo.

One of my favorite Korean places to eat! They always have a large variety of banchan and their soups are DELICIOUS. I must admit I’ve never tried their BBQ, but this place isn’t really known for that… so stick with the soups. If you come for their lunch special(Monday through Friday), you get steal deals for the same amount of food. Service can use a little work, but as long as you flag a server down, you’ll get what you want…

Not bad selection of Korean food, the menu is pretty massive for a tofu house. The soon doo buu was a little salty and more spicy than I asked for, but their gal-bi and pork bbq are pretty bomb. The prices are decent, in the mid-range for a tofu house and the service is a little sparse during the mid-afternoon Sunday lunch rush. Food: 4⁄5 Service: 3⁄5 Ambiance: Not really an issue for a tofu house. What are you expecting?

Good Korean food with decent prices. We typically get the Soon Du Bu with ramen, jap chae, and either bulgogi or kalbi. Watch the grilled meats… I’ve found that we often end up with a lot of gristle or fat. There’s a grilled pork dish – don’t get it unless you like grilled fatty pork belly(no, it’s nothing like eating bacon). The service is fair; the people were nice, but weren’t very attentive.

Wooow Wooow Woooow. A group of us(8 hongkongese) Went to Myung Ga Tofu House the other day. We had ordered many combination(a tofu soup with something BBQ, XD) I am not sure how everything works out, I tried to, but it is kinda complicated(thatz why I dont like their menu [-1 star]) The service was fine and the food was good, especially the raw crab with spicy suace, I DONTLIKEITATALL, because I CANTACCEPTEATINGRAWCRAB, but they went out within 1 min on our table since ALL my other friends love it… I tasted it and ate a couple… but still, cant accept it. I give 4 stars to their tofu house is because their uniqueness, they are more authentic then many other korean food that only carry bam bin bob. I love their side dishes as well… A combination can fit 2 people, about $ 15 included the crab. P.S IFYOUORDER A COMBINATIONANDTHEYFORGETTOGIVE U THECRAB, ASKFORIT… Since not much people accept this dish so they dont give to people who doesnt looks like Korean. @____@“ Hope YOu have fun discovering what you are eating.

Got the Pork Soon Du Boo… It was okay, I asked for it extra spicy… why do they think I don’t mean it!!! Between not believing I wanted it spicy to the fact that I got one less panchan side dish than the other solo diners around me… that really irks me. They were pretty busy, I was the only non Korean in there so maybe expanding their market isn’t important, bummer! Service was good and it was definitely cheap $ 5.99 plus tax…

I will definitely become a repeat customer here, especially since it’s so close to the office — and lunch specials are only $ 5.99! I got the seafood tofu soup, which was definitely filling. It was full of shrimp, clams, and mussels — and I’m not just talking about one of each. That was a plus. My lunch buddies got bibimbap and dumpling rice noodle soup, which got good reviews. Of course, you get all the extras that Korean restaurants are known for. I don’t even know what they all are, but they’re good — and definitely fill you up, especially for just $ 5.99/person. The place is clean, service is not intrusive, and you can get in and out within the hour-long lunch break. Perfect for a cold day because the soup comes out steaming hot!

I’ve been here plenty of times and there’s a reason i keep coming here. The service is usually great even though sometimes there are off days, but hey~ what restaurant doesn’t? When they first opened, they were known strictly for their soon duboo(I believe its known as draft tofu in english). The best thing about this is the variety of different kinds of soon duboo available. There are options for vegetarians, meat lovers, and even fish roe. Lately, it seems that the most popular item on their menu relates to the variety of different kinds of noodles and this is because the owner’s(Steve) father came back from New York and began making the noodles. Being Korean myself, i LOVE the naengmyun which is a cold noodle dish served with or without broth and the noodles are made from i believe is buckwheat as well as arrow root(?). If you are looking for good Korean food around the Seattle area, this is a fantastic place to go to. Its very clean compared to alot of other Korean restaurants and they menu now has close to or maybe over 75 items to choose from. The only minus about this place is that it can be difficult to find because it is somewhat hidden from the public due to being surrounded by many other buildings.

Got the Seafood Soon Du Boo and the Bulgogi. The service here is great, but the food not so much. I have been here three times and it keeps getting worse. The bulgogi tasted okay, but they need to get a higher grade of meat something with less gristle. You can tell they cut it when the meat is frozen, which is pretty standard, but they used a dull knife or something because you can see the cut marks on it, which makes the texture really hard to handle. The soon du boo wasn’t a deep red like most soon du boo is. It was a light pale color which is caused by boiling it for too long. The tofu breaks up too much and blends in the with go tu gung(pepper sauce). The result is a bowl of mush. The side dishes were okay, but not great. A couple of unique ones, but nothing to get me to go back. Since I couldn’t finish the bulgogi and I didn’t even want to pack it to bring home, I’m obligated to give this place a 1 star. I won’t be back.

Okay. This place is awesome. It must be really good, because you can not find this place on the Internet(I tried). You can’t find directions, phone number, reviews, anything. Also we went at 6pm on Sunday night, and the entire dining area was full, all word of mouth, since you can not see this restaurant from the main street(Pacific Avenue). It is way back behind Asakasa restaurant. The food is really good, flavored well. They also bring out a wide variety of banchan. I sampled seafood pancake, which was really good with lots of seafood. The bulgolgi was tasty as was the hot squid plate as well as the Seafood Stew. All very good.
