Hertz Rent A Car

They are understaffed. Here is what happens. If they have a car delivery the two employees have to close the store with a sign on the door saying will be back soon as they drive out to deliver a car.
What makes this especially irritating is we called ahead and said we were 20 minutes away. If they knew we were coming and they knew they were doing a car delivery they should have informed us during our phone call that they would either wait for us or that they needed to deliver a car. By informing us we could have utilized our time better. My clients who flew in from Beijing are only here 7 days so waisting a total of an hour for them to get back to the store is infuriating. Thus, customer service is poor at this location.
Good thing about this location is it costs less than the airport. So if you are lucky enough to have friends or family to give you a ride you can save quite a bit avoiding airport additional taxes and surcharges per day.

I wouldn’t recommend this COMPANY, let alone this location. There are hidden fees all over, the copy they give you of the contact has incomplete information, and their customer service sucks. I received their rental car through the company that was repairing my car. I had intended to return the car with a full tank of gas, but had an emergency and ended up returning it with a little more than half a tank. I was charged TEN DOLLARS PER GALLON for them to fill the tank! Are you kidding me? Gas is literally like $ 2.50 per gallon right now! When i called them i was told «its clearly outlined in the agreement» which is entirely inaccurate, nowhere does it tell me at what rate these things will be charged. My *should be free because insurance is paying* rental care, turned in to an expensive nightmare. Ive NEVER been so unhappy with a rental car experience. And as a side note, when i received the car, the trunk was full of family sized bags from Panda Express full of garbage! I will not ever use or recommend Hertz again.

The rate was good but the service was terrible. When we came back to return the car during operating hours there was a sign that said they were temporarily away and would be back soon. 50 minutes later and no one there still. Called the number on the door and the lady said she had only left 15 minutes ago. Lying. She said she would be back in 5 minutes, that was 10:23, real time she got back 10:42. Lying again. Bad way to deal with customers. How long are we supposed to wait for a 10 am appointment? Apparently the answer is an hour. The lady was very rude when she eventually got there then argued with us. Total crap.

I give this place two stars because I’ve gotten the car class I reserved at the rate I reserved, and it was a good deal.
But on my most recent rental I experienced absolutely horrible customer service. Rental was to start at 7:30, when they open. Arrived at 7:32, door locked, no one in the office, no one answers the phone. A couple other guys show up 5 minutes later, also with a 7:30 reservation. One of them goes around the back and finds a back door open with a woman telling them she has a problem with a missing driver and to go away until she is ready.
Finally around 7:55 the same woman shows up in front in a car with a passenger. She had gone out to pick up another customer. When she then opened the place up, she took 15 minutes filling out the rental agreement and going over all the terms with this new customer, ignoring those who had been waiting since their scheduled reservations. All this time, no communication with these two parties, no note had been placed in the door («back in 15 minutes» or whatever). Just left us hung out to dry.
When eventually I was served, it took all of 2 minutes to process my rental, as all the info was in the system. (by this time it was 8:10).
An then the car that I had been given had not been clean — dead bugs all over the front and the windshield. I waited 45 minutes for this?

I don’t know if I’ll ever rent a car from hertz again. The service is incredibly slow. It shouldn’t take you over an hour to rent a car.
No, she wasn’t helping anyone else but me.

This review is for both the FW and Fife location because it is managed by the same manager — Amir — apparently. We booked a car online from ¹²⁄₂₅ — ½, and received a confirmation that our pick up was scheduled for the 25^th. We went to the location on that day and the office was closed for Christmas, which is understandable, but why would they not contact us beforehand to let us know?! Because they were allowing pick ups online for that day obviously we thought we could pick the car up on Christmas! I left them a message to call me back the next day so we could pick up the car but nobody got back to me the next day. I called them again 2 days later and the manager picked up and said they had no available cars until after January 1^st… so did they give away the car we had reserved?! Amir said there was nothing he could do about it and we would need to call the Hertz national line. We call and they are able to book another car for us at the same rate at the FW location. 30 minutes later Amir calls my number and says there are no cars available at the FW location either. We call the national line again and they confirm there are cars available both in the Fife and FW location, and we also look online and see cars are available to book at both sites. A supervisor on the national line calls Amir and he tells them he has no cars but just hadn’t updated the information in the system yet. Because Amir wasn’t doing his job we had to scramble to find alternative transportation to visit our family on Christmas and postpone a trip we had planned to Portland with friends. We are EXTREMELY disappointed in our experience at the Fife and FW location — don’t waste your time booking from here. (On the other hand Liam in the Seatac location was extremely helpful and got us out if this mess!)

This Hertz location was awesome. They were very accommodating and friendly. They even gave me a ride when I dropped off the rental. Would definitely go out of my way to rent from this specific location again.

The office is a little dingy and I reserved a car for 7:30a which is when they open and the guy showed up 15 mins late which made me almost late getting the car to hit the road for a work meeting three hours away. When I was asked if I wanted to get the full insurance policy per day for the vehicle, it was $ 38/​day. This is expensive to what I’ve gotten in the past from other competitor car rental places. But Hertz was easy to drop off the car even if it’s after-​hours. All I had to do was drop the key in the lockbox and leave.
