Bland as bland can be. This is a sad excuse for American Chinese take out. I was hungry and this killed my appetite. Almond chicken tastes like boot leg curry… yea? The general tso chicken flavorless, fried rice, well was it fried? The shrimp fried rice was beyond bland and lacked any fried texture at all… just a sad excuse for take our. I will never be back to give them money for this dog food.

I went to this place last year, it was absolutely terrible and aad. But after the owner change as of last summer, this place greatly changed. The service is fast, reasonably priced, and the food is delicious. Since then, we’ve been here very frequently! I will recommend everyone give this place a try, it could even be better than some 5 star restaurant!

This place has new owners as of the summer of 2015, and it has improved. The food is consistently great, prepared quickly, and reasonably priced. The cooks are happy to customize dishes and the people are always friendly. They also have quite a few vegetarian options, which I like.

The first time I ate at Beijing Garden, I wasn’t a huge fan. The food was OK but not great, the atmosphere was perfunctory, the whole experience was a little underwhelming. With all of the great Chinese spots in the Farmington area, I don’t know that it would be my first pick for a quick lunch. What sold me on them was the party platter. Christmas Eve, I realized that I had people coming over and no food in the house. Beijing Garden was the only local place that had anything resembling catering. I placed an order at 4PM for pickup at six-thirty for party platters of mixed beef and vegetables and General Tsao’s chicken. The gent who took my order was very nice and even called back a few minutes later to check on what kind of sauce I wanted for the beef and veggies. The food was ready and hot promptly at six-thirty, came with a lot of rice and a whole bag of condiments and fortune cookies, and was very plentiful. As to the quality… it was perfectly good Americanized Chinese food. The Tsao’s was flavorful, perfectly crispy, and not overly sweet or gloopy – it was only a little bit spicy, but the taste was just fine. The beef was tender, the vegetables were very fresh, and the brown sauce was tasty with a hint of ginger. Plus it came with half a dozen cartons of rice, which was a time-saver. Gourmet? Nah. Authentic? I can’t imagine. But it’s the perfect option for a party on short notice.

Simply put: the food is NOT good. If you like Panda Express quality(if that), then go whoop it up. Farmington actually has a competitive amount of Chinese grub in the area; do not waste your time here. Doesn’t even rate. We came home with our food, had a bite or two, and then promptly threw it in the trash.

I was looking for a somewhere closer to home for Chinese takeout and discovered this place. Upon entering the restaurant I got a little worried as the place was totally empty on a Friday night barring what looked like the owners children under a blanket in one of the booths. Based on the reviews and what I saw I was preparing for the worst. What I got was not the worst but I would consider it average. I ordered the Generals chicken and the Crab Rangoon. Certainly not the best I have ever had but I will tell you one thing, you can’t beat the price. 2 combination dinners, an appetizer and an extra egg roll all for under $ 25. It used to be that Chinese food was a haven where you could get a lot of food cheap, but now a days that certainly isn’t the case. Consider this place knowing that it is middle of the road but you get a lot for your dollar.

I just left there and i feel like throwing up. I asked for a recommendation on something vegetarian and the waitress(who didn’t seem to speak English very well, but was very polite), recommended the mixed vegetable with garlic sauce, which I ordered along with an order of avocado & cucumber sushi. Given that the restaurant was empty(I originally attribute this to it being thursday and also the first days of snow, though now I know it’s because the place is terrible) I expected my food to come out faster than it did; though I guess I didn’t account for take out orders. After the food arrived, I first tried a piece of sushi. I liked the sushi itself, though was shocked at how bland the wasabi was. Then I tried the mixed vegetable whose garlic sauce was very flavorless. A few bites into the dish I noticed meat(after eating a small piece) in my dish and sent it back. While I was finishing the rest of my sushi, the waitress took the bill back to take 50% off a dish that I had 2 bites of and that had meat in it after I specifically mentioned that I was vegetarian. I did refuse to pay for any of that mixed vegetable and simply paid for the sushi. Would not recommend to anyone. Ps-The icing on the cake of this entire ordeal was that the fortune cookie I was given didn’t have a fortune. The only redeeming part of the meal was the nice elderly gentleman waiting for his takeout, as he struck up a polite conversation with me.

A small Chinese place with a few Thai options. The food is mediocre, portion sizes are a bit smaller than most other places I’ve been to. Good tea, below average egg rolls. If you go here, go during lunch because the food is cheaper and service is better. If you decide to eat dinner here expect to wait 45 minutes or more for your food. I live nearby and I’ve been burned three times when I was in a hurry.

First of all, I’d like to say that I placed my order through a company called Beyond Menu — they send the orders immediately to the actual restaurant who delivers it. I was quoted 45 minutes to delivery my order. It took 1 hour 30 minutes. Beijing Garden stated that it was because they didn’t receive the order right away, however when my food was delivered it was lukewarm instead of hot, so it was obviously sitting for a while. Second, they shorted me one egg roll. I ordered two, they delivered one. Third, they overcharged me $ 3. I authorized a payment of $ 22.08(total after tax and delivery charge) but Beijing Gardens charged me $ 25.08. It may be only $ 3, but I was still overcharged and it makes me very angry. Fourth, the food was just disgusting. I ordered my food spicy and there was no heat to it. There was also no flavor. The beef was way too chewy and I thought that I was eating leather. I will not be ordering from this place again — even without the missing egg roll and the overcharge and the time it took to delivery, the food was still the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had… an Americanized Chinese place in a mall has better food.

The place is very basic and I guess why most order carry out. Food is good and the hot and sour soup is some of the best I have ever had and yes it come with the meal. Prices are very good and they give you a lot of food. Food comes on disposable plates but they give you real silverware. Again basic, nothing fancy but a great value. We have went there many times and will continue.

Beijing Garden recently opened in Farmington and the garlicky smell wafting from their kitchen made me decide to give them a try while I was with family in the area. I ordered the mild Szechuan chicken and found their presentation to be very unique. The dish mainly consisted of julienned carrots, onions and celery in a Szechuan sauce with thinly sliced pieces of chicken. I have never had a Szechuan dish in this particular style, but the veggies were fresh and the meal was served piping hot and was ready for takeout in about 4 – 5 minutes after I placed my order. The shortcoming with the dish is that they almost followed my directions too thoroughly! The dish was not spicy enough! Next time, I will definitely not specify a mild preparation. Overall, this is basic Chinese carryout served in a clean facility with very quick service. It’s nothing to go out of your way for, but if you are in the area, you will get a good meal for a standard price.
