I walked into the restaurant at 8:30 for dinner. There was no hostess in sight, there was no sign, so we were about to seat ourselves. Within 2 min someone came by and sat us. The restaurant was completely empty. I think there was another party maybe of 2 dining in the restaurant. We couldn’t find our waitress or anyone — I understand it was quite so they can relax a bit but they should be within eye shot of the one table they have. I ordered the grilled salmon — honestly, it was cooked perfectly and well seasoned. One person in my group ordered the ruby classic burger medium and it came out well done so they grilled another one and it was even more well done and tasted«spoiled.» He ended up giving that one back because the meat likely went bad and it was inedible. Anyways, he didn’t eat anything for dinner. Another ordered the petite sirloin medium and it came out well done– they grilled a new one and it came out medium and tasted pretty good, far superior to the first one that came out over cooked. Overall 2 stars because one person in my group ended up not eating anything after 2 failed attempts to cook a burger and after taking a bite of spoiled meat… Big no no

went there last night for my son’s birthday, as per his request. service was SOOOOOOOOOO slow and there weren’t many people in the restaurant. The wait staff were sitting down chatting instead of being helpful and prompt. I said to the waiter«the birthday boy wants a sundae» and I was expecting a candle in the sundae — he turned 9 so it would have been special for him but the waiter just brought out the sundae. I wasn’t impressed. I prefer the one in Westbury over the Farmingdale location.

I don’t get the low ratings! Sure, it’s a chain restaurant, but it’s probably the best one out of all of them that I’ve been to around here. I have been to this location many times, and I want to say that the staff is amazing, especially the General Manager, TJ. If you ever have a question, problem, concern or even a compliment, he is right there to help you. Many times he has given me and my family(as well as my boyfriend) free things, «just because»! As far as the food, it is always fresh and cooked to my liking. Yes, it’s chain-restaurant food, but it’s still very good considering. Plus, I love having the option of a salad bar.

I don’t usually write reviews, but the manager helped make our dining experience so fantastic I had to share. Came in with group of 11(mostly kids). We were seated quickly. Checks were separated, coupons applied, and the manager was very playful and funny with the kids. Delicious burgers! Really yummy menu. I love that you could add salad bar for $ 1.99 and when ordering kids meals, we could swap sides if fries for grapes, apples, etc. Great place to take kids or groups of friends when in the area. We came in after a day at Adventureland. It was the perfect ending to a great day!

Burgers and salad bar are why we come. For us to come we have to be totally sick of everything else. Waitresses are friendly but slow. We will be back every few months.

We stopped in tonight, a Friday evening. It wasn’t sooo very busy but it took 45 minutes from the time we sat down until we got our hamburgers. The burgers were good but not so good that I would go back and wait 45 minutes for. When I spoke with the manager all we got was an apology. Our waitress was a very sweet girl and I know that she couldn’t get the kitchen to cook faster, but we should not have had to wait 15 minutes to get our check. We had to ask the manager to find her. I don’t know if we will go back for dinner. We have done better when we just went in for lunch and had the salad bar which is adequate. I will think long and hard before we go back again.

I don’t get the low ratings either. Our experiences here are probably better than most because we’ve only been here for lunch. Early in the day, the salad bar is well stocked, fresh & clean and the waitstaff are perky and full of energy. I can only imagine after a full day of lunch & dinner service, they’ll look as wilted as the salad greens at 11PM on a Saturday night. They deserve at least 3.5 stars. As far as chain restaurants go, I think Ruby’s is a step up on their competition like TGIF and Applebee’s. Their menu has a good variety that fits our tastes and their AYCE salad bar is a nice addition. The burgers, especially the sliders, are good choices for lunch and you can pair them with the salad bar for only $ 2.49 more. The free refills on the peach iced tea is a big plus because they make it with peach bits and sweetened with the syrup you normally get from canned peaches. They bring refills without us even asking!

Where do I start. I would hate putting this place on blast just on the strength of the sweet waitresses who gave a warm motherly vibe and were very friendly, maybe not the best waitresses though but being nice in my opinion is more important. The décor, appearance is nothing special. I had the barbecue chicken breast with the spaghetti squash and it was surprisingly better than anticipated for suck low calorie/low WW points. The wings were disappointing. They were tasty but soft, a major low point for me. I think wings should be crispy. The kids ordered nuggets and wings and seemed to enjoy them. The waitress failed to offer the shrimp fondue before the drinks arrived which according to the menu you get it for free… Well she didn’t offer it but I couldn’t do it to her. Plus, don’t need the extra points. Lol.

Went here with my parents the other night. Withered, empty salad bar, cold tasteless turkey burger… ugh Great service with a smile. Very nice waitress. Food was awful though.

Reading some ot he previous reviews which gave this location a poor rating I noticed most of them were a couple of years old. This location has improved based on my experience here last night. Our server Alyson was attentive and was a pleasure to work with. We all ordered off the signature menu and with the free salad bar and side dish it was a good deal. Portions were small but adequate as compared to a non chain restaurant. It is a chain eatery just like Applebees and Olive Garden so don’t go to any of those if you are expecting/demanding fine dining. If you want that experience break open the wallet and head to Mirabelle or Fifth Season. When you eat at a chain don’t expect a silk purse by paying with a sow’s ear.

I don’t get all the bad reviews here. Ruby Tuesday is what it is — a chain restaurant along the same vein as TGI Fridays, Applebees, and Chili’s that seem to populate the landscape of the typical scary suburban lifestyle. As I was out on the road today for client visits I needed to drop in somewhere for a quick lunch and catch up on some emails. Rather then eating at a fast food burger or fake Mexican joint I decided to eat here as it was close to where I was driving at the time. Sure, it feels kind of weird when eating in these places, kind of like when you ride a moped but want no one to see you doing it. Strange fake renditions of popular Top 40 songs were playing — almost like muzak remastered. Staff that is pretty robotic but friendly. Zombified customers that can’t seem to escape their suburban existence and who«ooh» and«ahh» at the salad bar. Florescent lighting illuminating the drab dark wood décor and green pleather booth seating. A menu that is culled from the chain eatery handbook handed down through the decades. Still, Ruby Tuesday served it’s purpose today. I was looking for a lighter and healthier option and they had a few on the menu. Grilled chicken breast slathered with BBQ sauce, steamed broccoli, and a plain baked potato for $ 12.99. It was served up hot and pretty quickly. Tasted decent enough. Service was attentive without being crazy overbearing as they can be in these places. Hey, we’re never going to confuse this with a Michelin rated restaurant, as it is not what they are striving to be. Just a spot for a decent meal at a moderate price point that is a step above fast food. Finished up and headed back out on the road. Still, why did I feel dirty when I left and looked around to make sure nobody I knew saw me eating here?

Food was OK — Typical for Ruby Tuesday. Service was totally lacking. It took forever to get menus, the hot drinks were served cold and one was wrong. When we told the waitress, she said they had been having problems with that(gee — you’d think they’d fix it or put some water up to boil until it was fixed). Salad bar was out of croutons –Had to find the hostess to tell her and was told they were«coming out in a minute» which was really closer to ten minutes, by which time we were pretty much done with salads. Took forever to get our food and they forgot the included biscuits. We finally got the check and then nobody came to claim it — had to hunt down someone to take our money. Very atypical service for a Ruby Tuesday, which is generally one of our favorite chains.

Sitting in a chain restaurant is like sitting in an interrogation room. The shameful feeling, the florescent lights burning your eyes. The dark dingy disgusting air about these places. Ugh. An old friend wanted to keep it local and thought of Ruby’s for the only fact that they have twofers. Excuse me, let me rephrase that. HAD twofers. Apparently, while trying to refine their style and make it less kitschy they took away the one possible reason you SHOULD go there. You can put lipstick on a pig but it’s still a pig. Just sayin’. The server was obnoxious and rude even though the place was completely dead. I braved it and actually ordered«real» food. Ribs with a side of green beans and spaghetti squash. Was better than I expected but would I eat here again? Only if the circumstances were the same and I were forced.

We were in town on vacation and wanted brunch. This was our first time having brunch at Ruby Tuesday. My food was decent, enjoyed the fresh salad bar(we were the only customers in the restaraunt). Our waiter was friendly. I love the new biscuits that they have.

Wow, it was a while since I was here. But, when I was here last fall, it was pricey, with bad service, and not very great. For the value, I would recommend going to On the Border or somewhere else.

Not entirely sure what possessed me to go here in the first place. I think I was just driving around after class, being ridiculously hungry and thinking«anything is better than fast food…». Ugh. even white castle would have been cleaner and more tolerable than this place. It was dark, dingy and sort of dirty. When I arrived, I was intrigued by the idea of a salad bar. When reality struck, all I found was a bunch of trays with stale lettuce and suspicious looking vegetables. The service was abysmally slow, considering there was really no one in the place. The food? Erhg. I ate it, but only because I was absolutely starving. What a waste of money. Just avoid this place. It’s atrocious.

Goodbye Ruby Tuesday… This location has not been here all that long, yet it seems like it is a 100 years old judging from the worn out appearance of the place. The bar was overly lit and barren– it barely looked like a bar — it looked more like one of those old press-board wood tables(with wood grain contac paper) with some bottles behind it. The bathrooms were nasty overall and with one out of the two sinks broken– or I broke it — not sure as the faucet handle came off in my hand… Avoid.
