The food was ok. But the service was horrible. The guy that took my order was rude. I guess he didn’t like my questions about the ingredients in the food??? Last time I checked, I have the right to know what exactly I am eating. On top of it, when the food came, I realized a mistake was made on my order ! I wonder if it wasn’t done in purpose by Mr Rudy ? I am not eating there again.

I’ve gone to Baja Fresh in Falls Church something like 3 times a year for a decade or so. The place is great every time. Its chicken burrito(with guacamole) is phenomenal. I highly recommend this place for«quick-casual» occasions. Food comes out relatively fast, prices are reasonable, and I’ve always found the place to be clean.

Good place! Free chips and salsa with a meal. Good variety of salsa in the salsa bar. Staff is friendly. Good options on the menu, burritos, tacos, nachos, salads, etc. Nice amount of seating and if you order food to go you can hear your name and number being called outside if you happen to step out for a few. Overall, a great place!

The food wasn’t bad and there is a fresh salsa bar. The inside décor is in need of a refresh as it is showing a little age. I made a mental not about the platters and catering options.

Fairly good by fast food Mexican standards. I prefer it to Chipotle. The management at this location is extremely friendly. They’re also really helpful when you’re with kids, bringing food to your table and checking in on you.

great for onthe budget quick lunches. Can be too salty at times. Healthy options available. Fresh salsa bar is hard to beat!

With the depth of quality Tex Mex options in Northern VA, the food at Baja Fresh falls somewhere on the lower end of the taco spectrum. There’s nothing that stands out to make it bad, just nothing that«wows» me. Overall the food is relatively bland, but filling and(relatively) healthy. I worked at the running store in the same shopping center for 2.5 years and probably came here to eat a dozen times or so. The atmosphere of the place is really nice– I think I was more lured in by the comfy booths than the food itself. I will also say that the franchise owner runs the store really well, making sure customers are treated well and that the restaurant stays very clean. Prices are slightly higher here than at Chipotle, but you do get more food if you factor in the free chips and salsa.

Needs a management overhaul. These guys are ruining a good concept. I like Baja Fresh, but this one is just not good. Not clean, service isnt good, just feels wrong.

There’s not much that can compete in today’s Chipotle world when it comes to fast-casual Tex-Mexicano. But sometimes when I’m looking to change up my burrito bowl habit, I venture on up to Baja Fresh instead. IMO, it tends to be a bit of a better value, since the burritos are comparably ginormous, but chips & salsa come free with your meal. Sweet! I always have a hunky dory, A-OK experience at Baja that borders somewhere between 3 and 4 stars. I’m doing 3 based on my most recent experience, which was just as tasty as usual but my kinda burrito fell apart, so womp womp. I usually go for the burrito ultimo(steak, baby!) and never regret my decision. I like that the cheese gets nice and melty in there, and with a little of their baja salsa it’s like a taste-splosion. Speaking of salsa, one of the main reasons I do enjoy coming to Baja Fresh is because of their salsa bar. I load up on the mango salsa when it’s available(they swap it out seasonally with a hella spicy pineapple salsa that I don’t like as much), and the baja salsa — which is this really delicious, pretty unique brown salsa with chunks of pico in it. Mmmm. Again, there’s nothing absolutely spectacular about Baja Fresh, but it definitely hits the spot when I’m in the mood!

We frequent this location because it’s a much healthier choice when compared to other alternatives like McDonalds, KFC, Taco Bell etc. If Farook is there(which he almost always is), count on fast, friendly service. We rarely order online, simply because I don’t mind waiting a few minutes while it’s prepared fresh. Food is better than most fast food chains. We usually get either the grilled wahoo tacos or the chicken baja ensalada and are always happy with our meals. There are a variety of salsa’s as well. Perfect for a quick lunch or light dinner.

I visit Baja Fresh fairly often and the one on Broad Street in FC is going downhill fast. It used to be consistently good(4 to 4.5 stars) but ownership of this BF changed hands about a year ago and it shows. Errors about 50% of the time are the norm. Ordered online and food was cold when I picked it up.(I showed up on time btw) Last time I ordered online and the app cancelled my order. So I called to place my order and then ended up being billed twice. I’m starting to have my doubts about the BF in FC…

It was one of those summer afternoons where on the way home at noon I decided to let Subway and Baja Fresh duke it out at the lunch table. Went by Subway and scored a grilled chicken footlong on Italian Herbs and Cheese, loaded with vegetables and chipotle mayo. Then walked the 30′ over to Baja Fresh and grabbed a carnitas burrito with the works. Props to Baja Fresh for having an interesting selection of salsas(don’t have to pluralize that word very often) available for self-serve and take-out in small plastic containers. The hottest of these offerings was still relatively mild, and there was a featured salsa that had a melon-esque(don’t think I have ever used that one before) character. But I digress. When both featured players made it back to Kitchen Stadium the consensus was that the clear winner was Subway’s «grilled chicken.» The burrito was fair, nothing tragic, but an uninspired confluence of beans, pork, guacamole, and cheese. Chips were decent, but there’s really a pretty low degree of difficulty with that one. All in all, two Subway foot-longs would have been the better call.

I really, really wanted to like Baja Fresh. I was excited for my wife that they served a lobster(langostino) taco and I wanted to like the place because she loves lobster. but it wasn’t meant to be. The place was a bit dirty. I understand that fast food places tend to be less tidy than waitstaff restaurants but this was a bit on the filthy side. I had to swab the table and seats to make it acceptable to sit and eat. The place had a general unkempt look to it. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. We finished our chips and had a couple of sodas so it wasn’t a big deal but the delay generally added to the malaise I was feeling toward the place. When the food finally came, my nacho burrito was bland and falling apart. It had a huge hole in the side but I was so hungry I just ate it. My wife genuinely liked her taco so that justifies the second star in my opinion. Not likely to go back ever unless my wife asks me to go. Then it will be take out just for her food.

Of course, with Baja Fresh being a Wendy’s chain joint, you would expect that the emphasis on freshly prepared food vice stuff in a warming bin. However, quite honestly, if you look at the Taco Hell model, it’s nearly the same thing with the everything being assembled to order since Mexican food doesn’t do well under heat lamps. On to this BF — well, it just… well…was. I mean, it’s a Baja Fresh alright. Characteristic salsa in a bar, take out cups for it, and Chalula sauce near the drinks. The food was ok — I opted for the Mahi Mahi tacos and got two fried and one grilled. The grilled one was better than the two«fish tacos» I had. Honestly, they should have just said you’re getting a platter of fish tacos instead of hyping it up. Excessive amounts of lime juice and chalula was applied to deaden the taste and smell of the fryer. Of course, since I didn’t take my trash out right away from my office, my desk quickly smelled of fried fish and I had co-workers grimacing appropriately at 2:00 in the afternoon(yes, it was a late lunch). Of course, I can’t bash fast food too much — it’s there for a reason and it’s not designed to make you think that you’re eating at the Palm or Ruth’s Chris. Meh.

I like the Cabo Cobb Salad Chicken Burrito and fish tacos. Try the tortilla soup with avocado! The cheese quesadilla was not a hit, and make sure not to let your chips get soggy in the takeout box. It’s like any other baja fresh, but I frequent this one often because it’s near the office(lunch in under 30 minutes!) Plus they have a sign that says good food isn’t made at microwave speed – that’s a relief.
