So not my kind of place. Everything about this place feels sketchy, from the building itself to the elevator to the venue itself. Sketchy. I took my 9 y/o Daughter here for a friend’s birthday party. It was loud, and it seems like the benefit of playing the video games is that you can win tickets which you can then redeem for awful, awful prizes that you can’t srsly want. For the Lazer Tag game itself, the adorable 9 y/o girls were placed in a bunker-like room with people of various older ages and told the rules. And then, during the«game,» the older kids(I’m guessing 14 — 18 years old) attempted to terrify the girls by hiding and scaring them and then shooting them repeatedly and laughing at them. All set.

In a town with pretty much nothing to do, this is one of the few places I’ve found that still tries to hold out against the monotone of boredom. Lazer Gate will not impress you with its décor. It’s dark, cramped, smells like a fat guy’s unwashed armpit and has had the same games for probably a decade now. It won’t impress with the prizes or prices, either. Lazer tag is fairly affordable, but the golf is totally underwhelming. Don’t bother winning tickets, either — the prizes are all highly breakable and fairly outdated. Seriously, a 40x zoom telescope for 3,000 tickets? What is this, Legends of the Hidden Temple? Where’s my Casio keyboard and Huffy mountain bike? At least give me a helmet for that terrifying rock wall! Or at least add some new padding underneath… It’s kind of a child-injury-lawsuit waiting to happen. I give you credit, Lazer Gate, for having the only commercial rock wall that takes coins and provides no safety measures. Lazer Gate is great for days when there’s nothing much else happening. Nowhere to walk, nothing good on TV, that sort of thing. It’s also great for little kids and parties, as they’re easy to engage and distract. But seriously, I want a Blue Barracuda shirt now…

So my very first impression upon arriving at Lazer Gate was«where the Hell is it?» There’s this really old mill area and none of the big signs out front advertise Lazer Gate as one of the businesses inside. Then when we finally saw a sign on the building, we couldn’t figure out where the entrance was. Finally, we figured out that it’s kind of towards the back, and parked our car nearby. My second impression was«holy crap, this place seems sketchy.» That’s pretty self explanatory if you ever visit. Even the elevator has definitely seen better days. When you get to Lazer Gate, you can turn right to go to the laser tag and arcade area, or left to visit the Landing Zone. It’s right next to the Spin Zone which is like a glorified bumper cars. The Landing Zone is comprised of(I believe) seven different jumpy houses. They’re all pretty much jumpy houses on steroids. A couple of them remind me of American Gladiators. Gosh, I really miss American Gladiators… And now I have the theme song stuck in my head. Anyway, the Landing Zone is pretty neat. A cool spot to take your kids if they’re into jumpy houses. My sister had gotten a Groupon so it turned out to be a pretty good deal. I haven’t checked out the other areas, but it seems pretty popular. I mean, it would have to be to get tons of people to go to this run-down mill to chase each other with lasers and jump in jumpy houses. All I have to say is, don’t judge a book by it’s cover. If I had, I would have just turned right around and went home, but it actually turned out to be a pretty fun spot.

Gross! Workers behind the food counter were useless when asking for help. One of them claimed he was new and he was sure and wasn’t sure the entrance for lazer tag was. Come on dude! So I ignored him and asked the other rocket scientist and she had some clue. Garbage all over the place left behind by patrons. Dated and damaged furniture and do not walk in the party rooms, classics SS. Campers thought lazer tag was way too crowed. Fred F are you serious? You must be the owner. Are you claiming that quality of this place went down within a month. Hmmm.

Brought a group of 12 year old boys here and they had a blast. Yes the building might look a little sketchy from the outside, but inside it is very organized, neat and clean. Prices are very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. The boys had lots of fun(and me too!).

This place is a hidden gem. It’s in this very sketchy building. I came here on a Sunday and as expected it was packed full of birthday parties but that’s okay there was plenty to do. Laser tag was a blast! 7 $ a person for a 20 minute match. Lots of fun! The arena is pretty big with lots of places to hide. The arcade is fun and on one side of the arcade there is bumper cars which are a lot of fun. Overall I think this place is a great spot to bring your kids with lots of fun options for a fair price!

Been going there since 2003! Still the best Lazer tag place I have ever found. So much fun! 2 floors of Lazer tag, large arcade, put put, mini golf, café food, now bumper cars, and you have a really fun night not matter the age!

We were visiting the area and looking for something to do on our one rainy day that could entertain kids ages 4 – 15, plus a group of adults. We headed to Laser Gate and were a little nervous walking into this worn down looming factory building, then riding the creaky elevator to the fourth floor. WOW were we surprised when we got inside! Awesome glow in the dark mini golf, a wide range of video games– including a very cool mechanical climbing wall, AND way cool laser tag! The only draw backs were that it was pretty crowded and there could have been better airflow. But we had such a great time! I was also quite impressed at how reasonably priced everything was for an entire afternoon of fun for all ages!

I went here when I was in summer camp and we all had a blast. There was a rock wall inside that moves while you climb it and there were arcade games that were fun to play. Also there was lights out miniature golf course which was good for little kids. But the lazer tag there was awesome. The play loud music and the place that you run in is huge. The floor is a bottom floor with a ramp that leads to a second floor. They also have strobe lights and fog in tunnels and tubes.

I love sketchy fun places, and this is just that! Location is a bit odd in the mill, but totally fine. Once you’re in, the game play area is dynamic with ramps, walls, mazes, power ups, mines, etc. Games last 20 minutes with a break between, and there is some special every day if you check their website. What takes this to three stars for me is the staff. Apathetic, sarcastic and rude. I’ve only seen 20 something«dudes» working there, which would be great if they didn’t make it very apparent that they would much rather be doing something else. Given that this is a place primarily for children, show at least some fake enthusiasm. That being said. I love laser tag and will continue to go back again and again.

The best lazer tag place around. Most are flat. This has levels, ramps, hiding places, fog, etc… I’ve been with kids & adults. It’s a blast! I didn’t expect it to be great but once inside, I turned in to Rambo. The Bday parties are a great deal. You can spend extra for tokens for the kids but it’s not necessary. To the snobs who consider it a «sketchy place» in an alley, you need to get out more. It’s an old mill populated with businesses(including Archery lanes). It’s next door to McDonald’s on a main road right off the highway. There are no frills(no fancy carpets, walls & restaurant). It’s a place to play rather than enjoy the ambiance. If you want to be treated like royalty & be lead around by a personal servant, you’re no fun. To the one who played mini golf indoors in the summer — duh! That course is used when all the outdoor ones shut down for the season. I live in Fall River. It’s a mill town. The old mills may not be pretty on the outside, but they’re incredible inside & they’re part of our history. I found that if you talk to the staff and ask questions — especially if you’ve never been before — they are happy to explain everything. They’re use to people who come on a regular basis who don’t want to hear all the details because they know it all. If it’s your first time or just not sure, tell the ‘guide’ and ask them to give you all the details of how to get points, etc… PS: NOT just for kids! I’m a 50 something woman & I love it! I started doing it for the kids but now I’ll go with or without them.

We had my sons birthday party there and we had a blast both Kids and Adults. The people who worked there were very accommodating. I had no idea that laser tag was so much fun. They have fog machines running so you can see the lasers shooting from the gun. There is nothing more satisfying shooting someone and seeing their vest change to your color and then go off. I have read other peoples reviews and some mention the building and the elevator. You have to remember some of these old mill buildings might be over 100 years old. And I did not think the elevator was that bad, I have seen worse. PROS — The vest are VERY Adjustable. I am a big guy and most of the time I go to a place where they have something you have to put on it does not fit. The vest are very adjustable and very comfortable. — Price … We had 11 kids and 6 adults and I thought the price was very reasonable for the amount of party, food & fun we had. — Size of the battle arena is fantastic, tons of places to lay in wait, twisting corners, small opening to hide behind and a few good sniping positions. — Location: Easy to find, right off 195, but …(see Cons) CONS — You have to hold the gun with 2 hands, this does make things awkward. — Its a bit dark in there, I have great eyesight, but i can see it would be tough for some one with bad eyes and some younger kids. — Kids party package does not come with tokens for the kids. Like at a Chucky Cheese party they give the kids tokens for the games. we had to drop an extra $ 20+ for the kids to play games. — Location: Once in the parking lot there are no signs telling you where to go, but you keep going forward and you can find it. Not that bad. Over all I highly recommend going to Lazer Gate, lot of fun for a good price.

Really fun place. Especially if you go with a large group of people. The outside appearance is very sketchy looking but inside is really cool. There is an arcade while you wait for the next laser tag game to start.

I remember in the 80s when Laser Tag first came out. You bought a set in a toy store and it consisted of a chest sensor and a tiny little gun. A bunch of folks from my theater company used to play in the big mazelike structure we built for our Halloween show after hours. It was a blast. Lazer Gate kind of reminds me of that, only now the systems are a million times better and more high tech. LG occupies a good chunk of the top floor of an old mill building in Fall River. They have a lazer tag arena they’ve built with multiple levels, mazes, and plenty of places to hide and snipe from. Fog machines and lots of flashing/moving lights add a level of distraction. The systems are high tech and have several different games you can play. For example, you can do teams or every man for himself. You can play zombie style games where one«infected» player tags other players and infects them. You can play capture the flag, or games that involve attacking opponents bases. It’s a lot more complicated than the backyard game I played as a kid. Lazer Gate also features arcade games, a rock wall, a snack bar that feels like it’s right out of Bobby’s Roll-away circa 1983, and glow-in-the-dark indoor minigolf. The minigolf sounds wicked awesome in theory, but in practice it’s really lame. Lazer Gate is unbelievably fun to go to as an adult, way more fun than you would ever expect it to be. It’s especially great if you’ve rented it out for a private party and have a decent sized crew of friends going. It’s a little weird if you and your friends go and you’re surrounded by a bunch of preteens.

Awesome. ‘Nuff said The price is reasonable, the place is cool, although the lower level is pretty much useless, and it is extremely easy to become lost… Anyways the atmosphere is super cool, dingy-apocolyptic-America-ish, but the two handed gun thing is irritating. The vests are great for teams but blue and cyan look the same so I would not advise using those colors. GREENALLDAYXD The food is ehh and is expensive, but thats not why you go there! The arcade eats money alot too so I would just stick to the lazer tagging which is still Awesome. Full circle.

I’m not sure if any of the previous reviewers for this place have actually been to this place. Or maybe they work there, but either way I completely disagree with them about this place. Don’t get me wrong Lazer Tag is awesome. If you can find the place you pull into a back alley of a building that looks like it barely survived a flood where people were dealing drugs when we were there. Then take the scariest elevator I’ve ever seen to the top floor and I was sure we weren’t gonna make it but we did. I don’t know how they expect kids to go here. Then we tried to play mini golf with a fat little minion following us around while it was 90 degrees outside and about 120 on the mini golf course WITHNOAIRCONDITIONING! There was a fake fire that I actually thought it was real because it was so hot. OHANDDONTFORGETNOMUSIC! We left after hole number 2 and that’s the end of that.

This place is the place to go on a rainy day if theres nothing good playing at the movies. Lazer gate pretty much tells you in the name. It’s lazer tag! I’ve gone there for a bunch of my birthday parties with my freinds, and we have a blast. Lazer Gate is a little on the expensive side(at 15 bucks for three, twenty minute games). In the lobby, there’s a rockclimbing wall, and a bunch of arcade games. They now also have a little pizza place in the lobby that is pretty cheap for a whole pizza.
In the lazer tag area, techno music blares while your shooting people fom across.(i pretty much killed a child… they were in my way!)You find your self in a dreary euphoria. It’s like a party at Elton John’s house.
