Favorite item here is the Shaken Mariana! Love that drink! Food is good, menu has changed since the first time we came and we miss some of those items. Should be a stellar place for desserts, but I’m not a big fan of them. Coffee selection is vast and tasty. Brunch is a great times to visit La Duni!

I’m in love with this place. Employees made me feel welcome from the moment I walked in. The restaurant is beautiful and very clean. Even the restroom was sparkling clean. Food was outstanding. My turkey sandwich was so fresh and the sweet potato fries were some of the best I’ve ever had. Now on dessert mmmmm. I had a bite of the Leche cake, best ever. The lemon cupcake was so good and refreshing. I may come back just for dessert and coffee sometime. If you are ever in the area I recommend stopping by.

This has become my favorite restaurant in the Allen area! The service is always really good and fast and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the queso verde appetizer.

It’s a bit far for me location wise but it’s in a bustling area with lots of shopping and things to do. Swing on through here for one of their creatively made cocktails, thin and crispy chips with salsa, and any of their seafood dishes. I always enjoy the orange mojito… super refreshing. Ask them to leave out the gallons of sugar as the drink honestly does not need it. The bar is super cozy and faster service. Beautiful location overall and if I’m in the area I will always make time to come by.

Phenomenal food! The tres leche cake is out of this world! Only thing is that this location definitely takes their time. Not the right place to go if you are trying to catch a movie after, ect. But if you are in the mood to relax, it’s perfect. Ps. Get the nachos

I have been here too many times! Lol. For weekend brunch primarily but also have had dinner a few times. I love their brunch! My go-to is the Huevos Al Gusto which is basically two eggs your way, roasted potatoes, and red and green salsas. Their food is always yummy and consistent which I appreciate. They also have a nice espresso menu of which my go-to drink is the Caramel Cappuchino. The mocha and vaca blanca are good too. Ok all of it is goos. Other good brunch items include the steak and eggs, chillaquiles, and breakfast burritos. You just can’t go wrong here and they have a patio too which is nice on a good weather day. Also their dessert options are to die for. I like their chocolate truffle cake a lot though the cake was sort of dry last time around so not sure what was going on there. Anywho, I had it after brunch so maybe they weren’t ready for my fat girl cake status at that time! Other locations off McKinney and in NorthPark Mall are good too. Anyways, just go. Enjoy!

The service is quite poor at this location, perhaps non-existent. On a Sunday afternoon, our party of 4 waited nearly 10 minutes before being greeted in an empty waiting area and told of a 20 minute wait — strange, given there were several empty tables within view. I offered to get drinks for the wait and stood at the bar for another 10 minutes, with neither of the 2 bartenders acknowledging my presence while also not being attentive to others at the bar. Meanwhile, another party arrived 10 minutes after we did and appeared to speak the hostess’s native tongue; 15 minutes later, said party was seated and we were left to continue waiting for a table. After nearly 30 minutes of waiting, with open tables still visible, several tables enduring long waits for drinks and/or food and several other tables remaining un-bussed for an extended period of time, we decided to cut or losses and leave for another restaurant. A truly disappointing and confusing experience.

La Duni has always been a favorite. I will totally miss their Oak Lawn location– boo! This location is good, they’ve finally matched the menu at other locations. Love my shrimp and rice salad dish. Their drinks are top notch. A few of my faves are chupito, mojito martini, margarina, really all of them ;) The shrimp enchiladas are also killer.

As always the Quinoa trio salad is fantastic, the chicken enchiladas were also very good and everything is made fresh, including the chips & salsa.

We ate here with some friends, I walked in and it wasn’t what I was expecting. At the end of the day, it’s Allen/Fairview, so you get what you get and you don’t fuss a bit. I like the décor, but the place feels cold. Not physically cold, just not warm and welcoming like I would expect. Maybe it’s because it’s so open. They had beautiful deserts all around, I felt like I was getting ready to buy a wedding cake. I don’t mean regular deserts, I mean wedding worthy cakes on display. The waiter tried to sit us next to the door by the kitchen, next to a family with children. My friends as well as my wife and I have kids; but our kids were at home, so we didn’t want to sit next to someone else’s kids late night watching two 6 year olds fight over Mamas iPad. Yawn. The staff was available whenever we needed them, so there was no wait. Yawn. I ordered the carne asada, it was pretty good. My wife ordered enchiladas, she thought they were OK Yawn. We went through a couple bottles of wine and the staff was friendly. We closed the place. To be honest, I don’t have anything bad to say about this place, just nothing great either. Would I eat here again? Yes, and I’ll bring my kids with me… Yawn.

Don’t hold your expectations to the standard of original La Duni in uptown. Ice Cream and desserts come from mother location and taste great. Coffee is good as it gets at La Duni thanks to the beans and coffee machine that’s the same good stuff. Service probably better at In-Out burger.

The restaurant was absolutely gorgeous. Big tv screens all over the restaurant showing pictures of the desserts they had to offer. I was with a large group and we were seated in a very nice room with our own waiter his name was Edwardo and he did a very good job waiting on such a large group. It was at least thirty women in our party. He got a majority of our tickets correct. We had brunch and had the stuffed pepper and it was excellent. The potatoes that came with it was seasoned just perfect.

A friend and I walked in at noon for lunch. The hostess didn’t greet us, said nothing, just grabbed two menus and walked into the dining room. We followed. She dumped the menus on a table and walked away. Wow. We walked out… and the hostess actually looked surprised when we told her we were leaving.

I ordered the GAUCHOCHICKENBREAST Citrus-Oregano marinated, grilled skinless chicken breast with greens, avocado, tomato, mayo and Manchego cheese. Bread choice(Chibata, Wheat, or Pan de Yema) Served with choice of yucca fries, potato frittes, sweet potato fries, or house salad $ 10.95. The sandwich was fabulous! The fries were fries… My sister ordered the HUEVOSRANCHEROS | Two sunny side up eggs on top of crisped corn tortillas with melted Swiss cheese and fresh salsa roja or salsa verde, queso fresco, served with black beans and roasted potatoes 10.25. All was excellent! My brother ordered the RAJASCONQUESO Y CARNE ASADA Pan de yema bread with sliced prime skirt steak, melted Manchego cheese sauce, roasted poblanos, pimento peppers and grilled onions 12.95. Awesome! Very nice décor, pricey, but you will feel treated right!

This wasn’t my first time visiting La Duni, but was my first for this location. Came in for lunch and ordered a sandwich ending in lomo. The sandwich comes with yucca fries, french fries or sweet potato fries. I got the sweet potato fries and it went great with the sandwich. The sandwich tasted healthy and the pork meat wasn’t too bad. It was the most simplest and cheapest sandwich on their menu. Now don’t come thinking you will get cheap food because the price here is pretty high in general. A couple came in, ordered something cheap, gave the waiter a hard time and complained that the price was high. Well duhhh you’re not at Chili’s! Overall, La Duni is a luxury restaurant that serves unique dishes. If you’re in to spend and eat something different, come. if you’re not wanting to do either or then go across the street and you’ll find something cheap.

We went to La Duni knowing we would have to wait for a table. The hostess said it would be 45 minutes, and the only reason we got seated an hour and a half later is because I kept pestering her about the fact that we were still there. The menu is weird. For a «Latin kitchen», its mostly sandwiches on the menu. The calamari was amazing though. Overpriced, but delicious. The restaurant has fancy hot chocolate and coffee drinks and an assortment of «award winning» cakes. We got the Cuatros Leches, which was good but nothing special. My favorite part of this experience was the company. The food wasn’t worth the 90 minute wait. I don’t want to go back.

I’ve always liked La Duni. We stopped by for coffee because we were waiting for our movie to start at Ipic. I got the Café au leit. Asked for skim milk because they didn’t have soy for lactose intolerant folks like myself. They have a good list of espresso drinks, more hot than cold. The cups are huge so don’t think the price is unjustified! it was a lot to drink. THeir cuatro leche cakes are the bomb, too!!! I tell everybody about it! Goes great with their coffee!
