BUYER BEWARE!!! Lou Lou carries a lot of inexpensive accessories, but know that you CANNOT get your money back if you return something. You can ONLY get STORE CREDIT, regardless of whether you had paid by cash or credit. When I bought an inexpensive item, I did not see the «return policy» sign and did ask if the item could be returned. The answer was «yes,» but it should have been a «qualified yes,» meaning that you can return something within 30 days, sales tag intact, for store credit only. The sales clerk that I encountered at the Mosaic/​Fairfax store upon returning the item was probably the rudest that I have ever encountered, advising me that «the policy is posted right there.» Actually, it was not in an obvious place, but rather, was partly covered by stuff for sale. She also told me that «We don’t even have to tell you what our return policy is.» Helloooo!!! Really!!! What kind of customer service is THAT? Sometimes, it’s not what is said, but how it’s said. In this case, both were problems.

Lou Lous products are priced around $ 12 to $ 30. Last time I was here, I was interested in a silver ring. I asked the sales lady if this ring was lead and nickel free. She informed me that ring is indeed lead and nickel free. I purchased the ring. The following day I put the ring on my finger at 8:45am and by 7pm there was an allergic reaction a «green ring» on my skin under the silver ring itself.
So the place overall is hit or miss. I still visit from time to time, always mindful that all pieces are not lead and nickel free.

Lou Lou is such a cute store! They have adorable accessories such as jewelry, hair clips, and scarves. The best thing about Lou Lou is that most items are around $ 15 to $ 25.

Another Lou Lou, another excuse to buy jewelry. This is one of the smaller shops and I’ve met friendlier staff in other locations, but everyone knows my obsession with Lou Lou, so I can’t give any less than 5 stars.

Looking at this place from the street and judging by the name, it didn’t seem like my cup of tea. I was very wrong. I had one of those rare moments where I wanted pretty much everything in a store.
Being so cheap, I wasn’t sure how high quality the jewelry was. That said, I decided to buy and wear a pair of earrings for a few days straight to see if anything turned green or caused an allergic reaction. To my delight, it didn’t. Could it really be true– cheap, endlessly cute jewelry?! Seems so.
A phone wallet with a cross-​body chain also caught my eye. I’d never seen one of these in a non-​wristlet format! Sadly, I walked away and then went in 3 separate times looking for it, each time being told they’d get a new shipment soon. Eventually, they offered to give me a free shipping code to order it from their website.
The one star deduction is for poor customer service. I had to wait for 2 employees to finish a conversation about a one night stand once, have been misled about stock, and then lied to about shipping speed for the phone wallet.
Long story short: if you see something here you like, get it before it’s gone.

Convenient to street and garage parking. Staff members are friendly and quick to greet. This Lou Lou seems to have the least inventory compared to their sister Bethesda/​Alexandria/​Chinatown locations… and less real estate space if I’m being fair. The lack of fragrances here isn’t make or break, but the purses and costume jewelry aren’t as numerous and the scarves are less organized. TokyoMilk greeting cards. No nail polish. You can peruse in 15 minutes flat.

I think I’ve been to every Lou Lou in the DMV area (don’t judge, a girl’s gotta have her accessories) and this Lou Lou had everything I was looking for (mission: find accessories for that evening’s outfit) and the staff was extremely friendly. Success.

There is something for everybody there. If you happen to be in a lookout for an expensive unusual gift, this is the place for you. Cute faux bijou. Good selection of scarf, article cadeau and gadgets. Or simply a place just to browse when you feel like getting something unusual.

Funny, I just read a «so so» review and I’m flumaxed! I had such a great experience there and love their stuff. The manager there was super helpful with my daughter and I. We actually have a Lou Lou’s out here in Ashburn, which is nice, so we stopped in. We loved this one more! The staff there were amazing and the store was run in tip top shape. I am a rare commentor on things, but it was so good my daughter wants to shop THERE instead of 5 miles from home.

Eh. I want to love it, but I don’t. The only thing I’ve gotten here was Satya jewelry which they keep in the locked back case. You can actually get a more affordable price on the Satya website and what’s in the back doesn’t seem to be current. My necklace was around $ 100. They have other pricey brands, but I’m not familiar with them. The back cases are where I window shop. The walls and center of the store exclusively have cheap costume jewelry, overpriced bags and wallets, scarves and hats. I think those items are kind of pricey considering the low quality. My last visit was February 23, 2013 at night. There were two workers that did greet us, but spent the entire time (20 – 30 minutes) gossiping about their friends. It was ridiculous and their conversations were extremely juvenile. Not to be a party pooper, but I’m not really interested in hearing about anyone’s dramas. It’s a really small store so you can’t hide your conversations.

This place is adorable! Great products, fair prices, well organized and easy to shop at, but happens to be lacking in good help. Luckily at a store like this, there’s not too much help needed.
I stumbled upon this shop while with some friends and it looked cute so we decided to check it out. The jewelry inside is fashion jewelry meaning that it is not real, but was all very stylish and on point — and hey, a girl needs some fun accessories in her collection without spending a fortune on them! Shopping here was easy as the store is organized by colors then styles and was well stocked.
The girl at the register wasn’t rude to us, but had no interest in helping at all. When we had questions for her she preferred that we shout them across the store to her as she sat on the computer and did god only knows what. Customers usually come first and they weren’t busy so I was confused. This store sells different designers yet they take the tags off from the original maker and put their own on them. I simply wanted to know who made the items I was thinking of purchasing and she didn’t know and wouldn’t find out for me. SO ANNOYING! I will be back because of their merchandise, I just hope this time I have better things to say about the customer service.
