The best ramen I’ve had in DC. Good variety of different bowls and the sweet matcha tea was good as well. Definitely will be back for more!

Tried it for the first time last night. I ordered a rainbow roll and a spicy salmon, tuna roll(I think). It was fresh and the service was cool. Remember it’s inside the whole foods, previously ramen was the big thing here.

This is a hidden gem buried in whole foods. I’ve tried almost all of the ramen spots in the nova/dc area and this is surprisingly one of the better ones. I highly recommend!

Ummm yes, please. This place is silly good. The ramen was the best I’ve had in the Fairfax area let alone the DC metro area. I went on an off hour and got it to go when I was grabbing some groceries. Everything was perfect. They put the noodles, pork, egg, and veggies in a big paper bowl with a lid and put the broth in a separate container for me to add when I was ready to eat it. It was so delicious! I ate it like I’ve never eaten before in my life: like a pig.

This is the best Ramen in fairfax. I’m a Ramen fanatic and been to Ramen places in la, ny, atl, and even Tokyo and I have to say their Ramen is closest to Ippudo in nyc. Also great value and additional toppings are cheap. I’ve tried all the Ramen places around this town and this is the best. I was surprised considering it’s whole foods but I say this place will be my new favorite. This is officially Asian man approved! Hahaha

Ramen place inside a WholeFoods. I was really skeptical on the quality but it was really good. It might also be that my expectations were low… but regardless, I would definitely come back just to get this ramen again.

This place is located inside of the Whole Foods in Fair Lakes and it is awesome!!! I’ve been there twice in the last two weeks and both times it was excellent. Even better than Marumen and Toki Underground. The first time I got the original ramen. The second time I got the soy ramen. These two types come topped with ginger, scallions, and black mushrooms. They also serve a bowl of sesame seeds with a pestle to grind your own to your liking. On the counter you can find fried garlic, white pepper and chili peppers to add to your bowls of deliciousness. We also tried the pork and the shrimp bao. When you get them, it looks like the bread could be heavy but it isn’t at all. It’s light and airy with delicious fillings. On our past visit, we tried two sushi rolls. They were decent but the ramen is soooo good, I probably won’t deviate and order sushi in the future because then there’s less room for ramen. Don’t forget to try the hibiscus tea. It’s super yummy.

There are types of food that you just have to have as authentic as possible. The ramen at Genji does not disappoint! The flavor and texture is just perfect! I have tried ramen in other restaurants in the area and Genji’s is by far the best. They also serve sushi which I have not tried. But judging by how good the ramen is, I’m sure it is also great.

I writing to give you feedback on our latest visit to the Genji café in the Whole Foods in Fair Lakes, VA. It was a Saturday evening, so these comments should be tempered with that in mind. My wife and I sat at the counter and waited for service. The counter had not been wiped and we had to catch the attention of one of the servers for service. We had to ask for utensils after our food was delivered. My wife ordered the Udon soup and it was served barely warm. We asked for the soup to be heated, and it was. The food was very good, although and we will return, maybe at a less busy time.
