I live within walking distance of the café and in 2014 when I moved in, my fiancé and were walking about looking for some breakfast. We walked into the Strawberry Patch where we found a dusty, run down and smelly restaurant, EW– we immediately left. Fast forward to just a few months ago when we gave it another shot under new ownership… WOW. Such a huge difference! The breakfast is amazing and the new owner, Bora Kim, is outgoing, bubbly and accommodating. We have been here many times since so I could rave about multiple dishes but you should really just go in and pick one yourself! The choices are thoughtful, creative and delicious. She has also been transitioning the atmosphere into a more updated environment while still somehow retaining that classic café that I enjoy while wolfing down my food. One thing I will recommend, try the bread pudding. Just do it. Don’t ask questions, don’t make it a ‘thing’ just order it. I didn’t even know I liked bread pudding until I came here… I like it so much that my wedding is next month and Bora agreed to literally make me a wedding cake out of bread pudding… A tiered break pudding wedding cake. This is not a drill. This is real life.

It’s like a completely new restaurant! Cute interior design that has a nostalgic feel that doesn’t seem contrived or dusty. The menu is delicious; I went both mornings this weekend. I started my meal with a judgement-free order of root beer floats, then tried the corned beef hash and today, the whoa mama. Both were amazing, and I brought home leftovers. Fresh cooking that is comforting but quality, never over-done eggs and a really nice atmosphere. I am so tickled.

I love this Café. Food is so good, Chicken Fried Steak is the best around.

Nope. Went here based on a «review» from the Everett Herald. Remember — those people are NOT restaurant critics. So you might as well discount whatever they say and just come straight to Unilocal. The Herald is totally useless in terms of recommending/rating restaurants. Went here this a.m. with D.H. Sat in back away from the door so we could be warmer. Wrong… the whole place is freezing — like an iceberg. The IPad was playing so loudly, we had to ask them to turn it off. She turned it down, thankfully, but not off. Coffee was bland and no flavor. Just like before. I ordered the«Elvis» waffle which was supposed to have bananas, bacon, and something else in it. When it arrived, it was miniature. I mean, like a small Waring personal Belgian waffler size you would do at home. It was hard and crunchy(and not from the bacon). It came with the«honey butter» that was cold and since the waffle itself was cold — it didn’t melt. The bourbon maple syrup had darn little bourbon in it. No taste or flavor, really to this thing at all. And that’s ALL you got for, I think, $ 11? Not sure but it was not enough food. DH had the Sink Omelette which he said was good and hot. The hash browns were swimming and glistening in grease. Bill came to $ 28(because I had 2 extra pieces of bacon) and we were shocked because the amount of food would not tide over a 4 year old. They tell you what your bill is because they use IPads for ordering and the bill. Now I don’t mind technology but what I DO mind is not being able to check what I ordered against what you tell me I owe. DH did ask to see the ticket and the woman held down the IPad for him to see. He paid with a debit card and, very intrusively, the next thing that pops up is the tip page which starts at 15%. Honestly, this was very off putting as your server stands there and watches you. Frankly, I wouldn’t have left a tip because — as was the case before — this place is NOT warm and friendly when it comes to customer service. We paid and left. Noticed on the board outside the«specials» that are listed but they are not listed with any prices — so you have no clue about how much each costs. All in all — forget The Herald for restaurant reviews. Check out Unilocal(like here you will find this is about a mediumsh, and then decide. Will not go here again. EDITEDUPDATEAFTEROWNERPOSTEDHERCOMMENTS: I love the Owner’s comments. Why is it up to a customer to tell you that the coffee is not good. Or that the waffle is small(yes, it came cut in pieces but even if I put them back together — it was still small). I didn’t expect to get a «buzz» from the bourbon syrup but it might’ve been nice to TASTE the supposed complex mix of it. We didn’t sit up front for a reason, i.e., the front door. So moving us would not have done any good. And there were other people in the back of this place — all of whom had their coats on. Note — no one said anything to us about the heat/cold, the IPad, nothing. Is it not incumbent upon business owners to make their guests comfortable, welcome, WANT to come back? I shouldn’t have to mention anything to get what I am paying for. I believe that the Owner doesn’t yet get customer service and, after seeing her response to my review(an honest one as to what my husband and I experienced) — we will definitely NEVER go here again and I will never recommend this place to anyone. You can take my comments for what they are worth — so go try it yourself. Excuses and explanations for everything and blaming others doesn’t do much for your business.

Amazing food and staff. Got the chicken pot pie and Whoa Mama and they were delish! Would like to try pretty much everything on the menu. They also have a fabulous selection of homemade dessert– this particular day the madelines were fantastic.

Tried their new tuna melt today, from Previous owners. It is now open faced. Overall it was good. I tend to not like my tuna tangy, was slightly tangy. Tater tots were over cooked. I think the new owners and staff are very out going and friendly. They have a great selection to choose from and can’t wait to try more items, with the new changes. I do love the hand cut French fries.

Great fresh breakfast! Home made everything! A must try if you’re in the area. I had a biscuit that was out of this word, homemade gravy and hashbrowns. So good, and the price was perfect. So yummy!

I went here with my dad for breakfast and it was our first time trying this place out. The food was excellent and the service was friendly. I had the«whoa mama» and my dad had the corn beef hash. Both were extremely good. We will be back!

We went for breakfast earlier this week. It was the first time I have been there, but my boyfriend went there frequently when he was younger. The menu is interesting. I got the Whoa Mama which is biscuit with a chicken tender and sausage gravy. It was pretty good, I think the chicken tender was a bit small for the price. I think it was $ 9.50. Andrew had the Lil Biscuit. He said it was good. He thought the arugula on it seemed a little old. I would have liked the cheese to be melted. Small, quaint little place. We will have to try lunch here.

This is a GREAT twist on classic American dinner. The Biscuits and gravy on homemade chive biscuits is unbelievably scrumptious. Bora’s daily scratch made pie’s, cakes, soups, oh and the BROWNIES, you have to try her brownies. If you need comfort food this is the place to get just what you need!

We thought breakfast was really good. I loved the taste of fresh homemade hash browns, the biscuit and my fiancé said the sausage gravy was good too. I had the Tex-Mex made into an Italian frittata with pico de gallo and side of sour cream. Yum! We had a side of bacon. We think they bake their bacon and we like it that way. The OJ seemed fresh squeezed. The waitress was attentive and friendly. The only reason I am giving less than 4 stars is they allowed a dog to roam and I’m against dogs in public restaurants. It’s just not sanitary folks. I love dogs but they don’t need to be near my food. This dog was constantly scratching itself. Yuk! Apparently they are friends with the owner since they had the VIP treatment. I also wish they’d remodel the bathroom. I couldn’t even lock the ladies room door so I deem that unusable. Long story short, I’ve been coming here since I was a young child and would love to keep coming back to enjoy the food and support our local small diner. I’ll give another try and see if it’s for the dogs more than people.

Favorite diner to visit when I find myself in the northwest. Delicious food and fantastic service. I only wish we had a Strawberry Patch Café in the SF Bay Area.

Biscuits and gravy were amazing. Butter nut squash grilled cheese was terrible. I could barely eat it. Service was just lip service, so slow. Those biscuits were so good… Lucky break.

Great place for breakfast! My wife loves the Hawks nest and this my favorite spot for short stacks! We have been looking for a small breakfast dinner since our move to the PNW and I think we found it:)

I LOVE the new menu here. I work across the street and in the past have eaten at SP maybe once a month or so. It was okay… average greasy diner food, but not very imaginative. The new menu is small and still fairly basic, but stepped up a couple notches. Their soups are fabulous. I had turkey pot pie soup today, made with bacon, large chunks of potato and, for the«pot pie» part, an adorable small, tasty homemade biscuit to add or dunk. Their salads are waaayyyy better than before, made with spring greens rather than iceberg lettuce. Breakfast is now served all day, yum. I worry that a more trendy, creative and slightly more expensive Strawberry Patch may not do well in downtown Everett. I will do my part to spread the word and give them my business

Seriously guys, nothing but great things since the new owner took over. Sure there’s always a few growing pains(training new servers isn’t easy!), but they seem to really be hitting their stride. I’ve been in 3 times with a variety of folks over the last month. Things to love: 1. Biscuits and gravy where the biscuits have actual flavor! Freshly made with chives and cheese.(Lots of great sausage in the gravy too.) 2. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside Hashbrowns. I’ve seen a few reviews about bad hashbrowns, but the parboil the potatoes ahead of time so every piece is perfectly cooked and fried. 3. Breakfast all day, every day 4. Giant portions, great price 5. Savory waffles! They get new specials every month or so and this month a cornmeal waffle with chili. Makes a fab lunch. 6. AMAZING desserts. I can eat the bread pudding for every meal — wonderful texture and great fruit. 7. Friendly staff. It’s a laid back family diner kind of place. Not the slickest, fanciest digs but they recently repainted their sign out front and got new tablecloths. I expect to see this place only improve — they’re off to a fabulous start. Try them out, you won’t be disappointed.

My partner and I frequented the Strawberry Patch often as our go-to breakfast place. The last 3 times we have been it has been mediocre at best. Our order is never right when it arrives and the wait staff seems very scattered and we always wait at least 10 minutes to even get a menu. The hash browns used to be really crispy and golden brown and now they come out basically white like uncooked potatoes. The omelettes used to not lack flavor and the cooks used to always greet you with a «hello» when you walked in. It may be a dive but the reason this place was so good in the first place is that everything was consistent and the old cooks and wait staff knew what they were doing and were friendly. It was just recently that we realized that the place is under new management and it’s sad that we will be finding a new breakfast place in town.

Been a regular here for a few years. Went in today to find they’re under new management. They were a little busy so I knew it would be a little slow, however, I sat for 15 minutes without even being offered coffee or water and saw orders being taken for parties that arrived after me. I decided to walk out and go next door to the Colby Diner where I was served coffee upon sitting downs and had my breakfast within 10 minutes. Congrats Colby a Diner you have a new customer. Sorry Strawberry Patch but I won’t be back.
