Today was the first time I had visited in over 14 yrs(I was told the new owners bought it 5 yrs ago) and was glad. These guys have their menu down to a science — multiple simple sandwiches and salad offerings, Kababs, a handful of tasty sauces and pita bread appetizers… Genius! Went for a «late lunch» around 2:45-ish. Place was empty and there were no «hoodie» or employees visible. Was delighted to order and receive food wrapped up to go in under 10 minutes. The gyro meat was super fresh. Loved the pita! And the regular gyro was STUFFED with ingredients! Prices were spot-on affordable(under $ 6). The restaurant was super clean and the young man who took my order was very friendly. He even brought out the bag of food directly to me when it was ready. Oh, the front case has pan-fulls of delicious looking Baklava…(A must buy for next time!) I would gather it’s best to arrive well before closing based on the other reviews. Keep up the good eats!

Basing this review on wait time to quality of food ratio. Waited 25 mins for mediocre food. This not a grab and go place.

Thought my wife and I would try this place out. A few months ago we walked in. Definitely had a casual vibe. Two young guys were blasting hip hop in the back. Didn’t bother me per se but the way was treated sure did. My wife and I were looking at the menu when one of the young guys in the back with his hoodie pulled over his head yelled to the gentleman at the counter«Do they know we close at _____.» We obviously could hear him so I’m not sure why he was speaking as if we weren’t there. The other guy then reiterated to us what the guy in the hoodie said. Mind you, it was 45 minutes until close… My response? I took my credit card back before he could run it and left. Terrible service. No professionalism or respect.

I have been coming here for years. I’ve always enjoyed the food and value. Lately there seems to be a new cook. Our kebabs have seemed spoiled and last time I got a jumbo meal and kebab plate to go on April 6. 12 hours later I got horribly sick. Vomiting and feeling awful. I spent four days in the hospital and had to get my stomach pumped. My wife and son also got sick but not to the same extent. It was the gyro. I ate the most of it and got the sickest followed by the rest of my family. It was the worst experience of food poisoning I have had. I noticed the meat was not the same usual color but paid it no heed and I suffered for it. I can not return to this place and I warn people to stay away. The hygiene risk is too great.

I work fairly close by and I love this place. The food always tastes fresh and you feel like you are enjoying something healthy too. They have been there over 20 years… they are obviously doing something right. For me… this is a «must experience» place if you haven’t. I was surprised by the low reviews… not my experience at all.

Consistently delicious food. Greek fries are the best. The place itself is worn down, but don’t let it deter you!

The staff are friendly but this place is the definition for hole in the wall. We got the gyro meat was great but the sauces where off and did not resemble anything I’ve had before. The Greek fries where the best thing. Lots of herbs and cheese. The rest was blah. The rice and pita where bland and the hummus was thin and watery.

Customer service was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accomodating. Gyro meat was delicious, I seriously could eat a giant plate of just the meat. The rest of the plate was okay. We had the spanikopita which was very nice, the spinach was not overwhelming, and there was a good balance of textures. We wanted the baba ganoush, but the gentleman up front was pretty insistent that we try the hummus(perhaps they were out of baba ganoush?). The hummus was okay, it was a lot more liquid-y than what I’m used to, and the flavor was so-so. We also had the greek fries, which were pretty good up front, but I could see how the creamy cheesiness would be too much after a while, definitely a good dish to share. We will definitely be back, to try the baba ganoush and for more of that delicious gyro meat.

I was craving mediteranean for lunch and always wondered about this place. Finally decided to give it a shot. I ordered a gyro plate which was really yummy and totally hit the spot. The lamb/beef gyro meat was very tender and perfectly seasoned. I’ve never had falafel anywhere else aside from my own. Their falafel was ok. It lacked in flavor and I like my falafel more fine in texture. The hummus was blah. When eaten with everything it’s fine but I didn’t care for it on its own. I do wish they would give my tzatziki. But I would definitely come back again.

Found them on Unilocal and couldn’t wait to try this place. Unilocal hours said they were open as well as the hours on the door. I was turned away by several gentlemen sitting at a table inside saying that they were closed. Please fix your hours. I drove quite a ways to try this place. Very disappointed.

The portions here are good. You can get a gyro for under $ 7. Very tasty. The jumbo gyro is almost challenge size. I usually start by eating the meat with a spoon. Other than homemade, the spanokopita here is the best I think I’ve had. Not too flaky where its messy and still cooked inside without being doughy. Good flavors.

I’m disappointed that I didn’t have the same experience as the other Unilocalers. There was only one person working which was fine but what bothered me was my boyfriend and I were the only ones there(except one guy who already had his food) but it took 25 minutes before our food came. I just ordered a falafel sandwich with fries. I didn’t like it. Chunks of tomatoes and onions. Chunks of lettuce. The falafel wasn’t cut up. Just thrown together. The fries were hard and cold. I must have come on a bad day. My meal came with a drink but the person working didn’t tell us that we had go get it ourselves in the fridge. So we sat there for 20 minutes wondering where our drinks was. It was dirty and not well taken care of. Definitely won’t be back.

This place seriously has the best gyros! And at a great price! Gyros, skinny/crispy French fries, and a water or some kind of soft drink for 6.95 $ plus tax! The meat was tender and moist, and seasoned extremely well. This place was definitely authentic and had a pretty extensive menu including Greek pastries. I would definitely stop here if you are looking for a quick bite!

Great place for Gyro’s at a very fair price with quick service. Their deserts are excellent and staff is very polite. I will always go here when I have that need for a good gyro.

To quote an LL Cool J song from the 90’s, «doin’ it and doin’ it and doin’ it well.» It’s been 3 years since my last review and I’m glad to say these guys are still pumping out grade A grub. It seems like they might be a little nickel and dimey on additional items, which is a shame, but it’s still great food. And, they still have the killer baklava. Keep it up!

Great food when they feel like serving you. Just stopped by 7:30 on Friday night, they close at 8. Doors locked and worker in there chatting with customers eating. Worker saw us try to open the door and didn’t acknowledge that we were even there. Customer service matters. Other places to eat besides here.

2 ½ stars. Man at counter was very nice. Good prices. I consider myself a gyro expert. It is one of my favorite foods ever. I ate one every day when I was in Greece. And I have had them in Washington and California. Sad to say this was so so. Great greek food is simple but highly seasoned with salt and pepper and oregano and garlic. This meat needs seasoning. Or would need to pay extra to add feta next time. The tzatziki was alright. Fries were ok. Since this is close to our house will probably try it again and try other items.
