This location is closed too! We drove over an hour since they closed the Renton location and once again we see the we’re sorry sign! It said to come see them in OREGON! Well thanks to Unilocal we found Genghis Mongolian Grill by Alderwood Mall(about 15 minutes away) really nice people, great food not all you can eat but we were full from the one bowl. Go see the instead!!!

We went here expecting good food. However what we found was unfresh food left out and not changed out often. Table was dirty and floors were disgusting. They were out of almost every beer on their menu. The worst part wasn’t the actual restraunt but the food poisoning that came later.

Horrible! I went here last Saturday. The first thing I seen was dirty bowls, when I found a clean bowl, then I was off to the salad bar, food all over the floor and counters. I asked the woman working if they had tofu, she said no, but I asked cook and he grabbed me a small bowl, so she lied to me. The server told me they had glutton free noodles, but they had yellow and green noodles mixed in from the noodles next to it, which makes them not gluten free. Then then woman was putting the pineapple and jalapenos back in the pan from the dirty counters. Nasty! All top of that my food was burnt, the cook did not understand me. My son wanted to take his kids cup home and the server told him, he can’t, they reuse them, that is unsanitary, I told her, but she said she’s following her orders. Disgusting! Over all I would rate this a zero star if I could.

Always A-OK — never bad, A few things I would do different, but then I should own my own place: / Only a good deal for lunch(never been here for dinner) if you don’t purchase the expensive soda and get just water instead. Then it’s a good deal for a lunch because the food is good and healthy.

I love this place, I’ve been going here for over 10 years. I will say they need to have two people at the grill on weekends but otherwise they’re usually staffed well and the food is very consistent. I’ve never left disappointed.

I am a huge lover of the Chang’s chain. This was my first time at this location and was very disappointed. Our server was great. Wish I could remember her name. But that’s about it. One poor guy cooking on a Saturday night and trying to do way too much at once. Food was so burnt I couldn’t eat it. I think it was a combo of the food being on too long and him not using enough water. Went back and asked him to cook it lightly and he did but he didn’t use water when cleaning the burner so I still got a lot of burn residue. No tofu, and the wraps, which I’m usually obsessed with, we’re so stale they were inedible.

This place was no good. The food tasted burnt and had grill flakes all over it. All the flavor was cooked out, I had to keep adding soy sauce. The waitress was awkward. I won’t be going back.

We used to love it here. The food quality is not as good as it used to be. The décor is becoming a little shabby. We still go. We went tonight. I’ve had some dim-witted hostesses, I have had some apathic hostesses, I’ve never had an actively hostile hostess, except for tonight. I asked to speak to a manager and there wasn’t one, only our waitress, who was acting manager, and she admitted the hostess was nasty but gave me the impression there was nothing she could do. We will not be going back.

Horrible horrible horrible. Staff was rude, food was alright but not for the price. I took my family of 4 here with a Groupon and STILL had to pay $ 80. I will NEVER be back here. It use to be pretty good, but I’m not paying 5 star prices for 1 star food and service. Do not waist your time.

Dinner $ 14.95 per person. With Groupon $ 17 for $ 29 worth of food. Got there at 4:45 pm on a Saturday and within 5 minutes there were people lining up for the 5 pm opening. You pay when you enter. You get a bowl and from numerous serving stations, select meat/seafood, noodles, veggies and sauces. Then it gets cooked up on a large round grill by 2 chefs. Choice of meats include: beef, lamb, pork, chicken turkey. Seafood: shrimp, imitation crab, salmon, pollack and squid. Veggies: bean sprouts, green peppers, yellow onions, green onions, zucchini, carrots, tomatoes, carrots, mushrooms, broccoli, jalapeño, cilantro and pineapple. Included in the price is a small cup size soup: hot and sour or egg drop, steamed rice and tortillas and soft serve ice cream for dessert. You can make unlimited trips for food!!! The challenge was what sauces to use and there is a chart on the wall with the suggestions. Remember to add salt water otherwise you’ll get bland food in spite of using soy sauce. The soy sauce seemed very watered down. Service was great. I didn’t care for the location of the tables right next to the grill. Everyone who waited for their food to be cooked leaned against the wall beside the table. Other than that, you can’t beat this great value.

The staff was so nice and friendly. So many options on the buffet to choose from and a number of sauces. You get rice, wraps, soup and ice cream with your meal. It’s all you can eat and so good. My only thing was the cooks didn’t clean the grill that well so it was a little burnt and they need melted butter because the food was dry. Other than that it was good.

Food was good but service left a lot to be desired. As it was my first time there i had no idea what to do. We were seated and neither the waitress not the hostess explained how the process worked. We asked n was given a vague explanation of what to do to get food. We got up there we had to ask a customer in line where the bowls were because there were only a couple n they were sitting next to a stack of dirty dishes. They didn’t have very many flavorful sauses to choose from but if you like ginger seawater limejuice or vinegar you’re set. The meat was tasty and food was cooked fast. Had to ask the waitress for refills twice. Prices were reasonable and restaurant was kinda clean.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. This place is terrible. The service is some of the worst I’ve ever seen before. And the prices… Really?! For mediocre chinese food it’s not worth the price. I’ll never go back again. If I want shitty chinese food I’ll buy sushi at ampm.

Ugh. This place is run down. At the start of the line, many of the dishes were dirty. The the food choices were fine; however, the quality was low and the trays/bins were empty during a medium dinner crowd. The sauce bar was uninteresting, uninspiring, and most messy. The meal felt cheap and, well, blah. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. Its time for new ownership, management, or perhaps Restaurant Impossible to inspire them to change.

This used to be one of my favorite restaurants. I can still taste the food on the memories of my tastebuds. I long to return and enjoy the deliciousness once more, but alas — the bitter way we left off would overpower the sweetness of the return, and would forever ruin my palate for what once was a great place to eat. I was a big fan of Chang’s since long before they ever made their way up to Washington. I had friends I would go visit down in the Portland area, and they always took me to Chang’s. I was elated when I heard they were bringing locations to Washington. As soon as they arrived, I started going constantly. Both the Seattle and Everett locations were pretty trashy, especially Everett, but I ignored all the filth in order to enjoy the food. Amidst all the great times, we put up with plenty of bad meals there, whether they were missing what we considered to be key ingredients to our Chang’s experience, or the food was of particular poor quality, or encountering bad wait service a number of times. We continued to eat there on a regular basis. They had punch cards for you to punch on each visit, and after the card was full, you got a free meal. They had a rule that you could not combine 2 punch cards to make one full card, which sucked because after changing out wallets and purses, I often found myself without a card on me, so I was starting a new one all the time. I got to where I had a whole stack of about 20 – 30 partially filled cards at my house, and those do not include all the many cards I was able to redeem over the years(each card times 10 visits to fill the card). Just looking at the stack that remains, it is clear beyond any doubt that the number of times I have been to this place is more than I can even remember. In all the years I went to Chang’s, I went for dinner only. Only. We never once went for lunch. One of the times I had forgotten to bring a card, and asked for a new one, the waitress apologized and said they’d run out of their regular blue cards, but they had a white card instead. I didn’t know the difference, and didn’t care that it was a different color, so I accepted it. I left that one in my wallet and continued to use it until it was filled, with EVERYSINGLEPUNCH on it being from a dinner order. Once filled, I grabbed one of my partially filled blue colored cards from home and continued to fill it out with each visit. In December of… 2009? They put up a notice saying they would no longer be accepting punch cards after a certain date in January. We were pretty disappointed, and I was especially upset that I would never be able to fill all the partially filled cards I still had at home. Cards I had validly earned, and should have been able to exchange for several free meals if only they would allow me to combine them. But as it was, we only had time to go a few more times that month to finish filling the second of my two cards. On *the day* in January, the very last day the cards would be accepted, my friend and I went in FORLUNCH! For the first time ever, in all the years they had been there. We ate our food and went to «pay» with the final 2 punchcards we would ever be able to redeem at Chang’s. The cashier, who knew us very well as we had been dining there so often, for so many years, refused to accept the blue card, because it was for«dinner only.» I explained that we were never told of a difference in the cards, and that we were actually given the white card while dining there at dinner, and filled it out while dining there at dinner each time, which further led us to believe there was no difference. He didn’t care and said he would not accept the blue punch card. I was shocked, and in disbelief. I said«but this is the very last day you accept the cards! And the dinner card is *more* valuable anyway, not less!» But he refused to accept the card. I refused to pay. I thought the entire situation was ludicrous. We had eaten in their restaurant literally hundreds of times. I could not believe he was treating such loyal customers this way. For some reason he asked for my ID — I do not recall the reason, and I certainly do not recall why I gave it to him — and then he held it hostage. He refused to give it back. He called the cops on me and my friend! Luckily, the cops told him he was being ridiculous and to give me back my ID and let us go, which he did. He invited me to never return, and I promised I never would. I am the master of boycott, so my principles would never allow me to return there anyway. I have heard many horror stories since that day of the decline of this restaurant, how their prices went up, the food quality went down, and their new rules became reminiscent of the last day we shared together. I will often visit my old Chang’s in the dark recesses of my mind, and enjoy the flavors those memories conjure in my mouth… but this Chang’s is the not same as the one I so loved for so many years, and went to often. I would never go back.

Let me just start by saying I love this place which is why I’m so critical about it. The reason why I did not give Chang’s a 5th star is two fold. One, cleanliness of the buffet line floor. Two, separation of the ingredients on the buffet line in a way so that they don’t «bleed» into other foods(i.e. Finding pollock amongst the squid, or bean sprouts among onions). I have gone to this place many times in the past(first time reviewing on Unilocal), and my experience has always been the same. Fast seating, smiling faces, quickly cooked meal, satisfied tummy. They have quite a few ingredients to customize your final meal to your liking, as well as many different sauces, juices, and cooking oils to cater to anyone. They even have a «sauce guide» posted on the wall. Just follow their recipe guide and your golden. My recommendation is to have a separate bowl for your choice of meat(beef, turkey, chicken, pork and my personal favorite lamb), and another bowl for your noodles and veggies. Smart! I sure hope anyone going here does not have food allergies because all of the ingredients are close range and your meal is cooked on a hot surface surrounded by everyone else’s meal. Try to beat the mid afternoon rush!

My dad and I like to come here when we are having our father-daughter bonding moments. This place holds a sentimental value to me because of the experiences I have had in it. However, I don’t know if it is under new management or something, but it is definitely prohibiting dad and I from going as often. We love the taste of the food, it is consistently great. The man behind the grill is very entertaining and knows what he is doing. That’s about it. My dad purchased a Groupon for this location, and when we were paying, the woman told us that it was for a certain time of the day only. My dad and I are very understanding and polite people, so we asked if there was any way we could use the coupon right now, and the woman got VERY sassy and really defensive and made my dad openly livid. She completely disrespected my dad’s intelligence and I haven’t seen him that angry in a long time. We ended up paying full price and leaving. I hope to God she is not still working there because I don’t know how you can treat customers the way she treated us and get away with it. Didn’t even apologize for the inconvenience. I understand that my dad probably could have read the fine print better, but that is no excuse to take your bad day out on customers. Get over it.

Lots of choices! Different flavors. So yummy and fresh. Eat as much as you want, it’s cool to see them cook it in front of you. Service is usually ok, but the place could use a good cleaning. Careful if you have allergies, things get mixed sometime when cooked close together. Lunch is a better price then dinner and not much more is offered for dinner besides salmon which I usually eat. They have a break between lunch and dinner where they are closed. When it is crowded there are waits to get your food. Bring dollar bills to tip the cooks if you want.

This renewed my faith in Washington mongolian grills. We waited a a couple of minutes to be seated as the cashier was helpingthe busboys with tables. Once we were seated, the waiter took our orders for drinks and then we went to town on filling our bowls with meats and veggies. They have a variety of sauces to choose from, although their recipe for making a spicy sauce needs quite a bit of work. Unlimited bowls! So if you like stirfry and are really hungry, you should give this place a try.

I have a crazy love for Chang’s Mongolian Grill. We used to go to the one in Kent, but the Everett location is much nicer. Cleaner, less sketchy area, and better parking. Chang’s has a few things going for it that really set it apart from other Mongolian grill places. 1. It is all you can eat. While I am not usually so hungry to have second, this does allow me to try out smaller portions of different combinations. 2. The meat and vegetable selection is very good. They have options that I have not seen in other places– two types of fish(cod and pollock), lamb(this might be dinner only), zucchini, and spinach. 3. Great sauce selection, they have at least 10 different liquids and oils to add to your bowl to create your own sauce combination. The prices are extremely reasonable as well.
