Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

Great spa experience at an affordable and competitive price point. The place feels luxurious, with an open lobby to relax in before the service with hot tea or water. Treatment rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. I’ve had great massages here from various therapists and all have been well trained and versed in their craft. I always leave the spa feeling better than when I came in. The front desk staff is efficient and always courteous. Recommend.

This place has only became worse since my last review. I was promised by the manager that things would improve but this place is just a disaster. Today I went in for a facial and upon checking out was told by the receptionist that I owed an additional $ 20 upcharge of an extra service. I corrected her and said no extra services were had. She was insistent that I had an extra service so she went to double check with the esthetician upon my urging her to do so. She came back and said «you had a sensitive skin facial so that is an upcharge». Apparently because I told the esthetician that I have sensitive skin she thought that was her cue to add $ 20 onto my service! Further more, I told her I had sensitive skin on my legs– not my face! She was trying to put an uncovered bolster pillow under my leg with no towel or sheet between my skin and the bolster. Not only was this insanitary but I did not want anything touching the skin on my legs. I believe that this place’s problems stem from bad ownership. It shows when business owners don’t care or abuse employees because the employees then behave that way with clients. Cancelled my membership.

Pilar is amazing! Her deep tissue is the best in town. The facility is always clean. The staff is always welcoming when I walk in the door and they are very punctual. Would highly recommend Pilar for any massage! Very pleased and have become a member!

I had a facial here in the past and recently a massage here. The facial was amazing by which I do not remember her name. The massage was done by a lady named Donna. She made me feel very uncomfortable and wasn’t great by any means. Made a negative comment about her place of work and made me feel like I was a problem being there. I won’t be back to this place for a massage

Worst experience ever! my wedding and engagement rings were stolen from the spa. There was a security camera in the area where they were taken from but the Manager and Owners refused to look at the video to help identify the thief. I was told that only the Manager or Owners could look at the video and both refused to come in on a Saturday evening to provide any assistance. I was told that I would receive a call from the Owners the following Monday and they never called. When I called and finally got the Manager on the phone and begged her to look at the footage with the girl who was on duty that night and could identify the guests that were in the area of the ring, I was told by her that it wasn’t their job to investigate a crime. Have never been treated worse. This was a solvable crime as there were only a few customers and staff in the store that night but instead of helping they made it easy for the crook to get away. Hate this place. From reading other reviews seems customer service is just not their thing.

My wife & mother had a massage at this place since we were staying at the Hyatt.
My mom requested a female therapist 24 hours before hand (for a hot stone massage) and my wife requested a male therapist (custom massage). Unfortunately they were not able to accommodate those requests but did not have the courtesy to tell them until the time of their appointment.
My wife also mentioned that this was one of the worst massages she’s ever had and she had a novice therapist. It Was not relaxing for her at all. A complete waste of time and money.

Just had a facial there which felt great. Very courteous and caring staff. Would do it again and maybe try their other services.

Found this spa by accident. They are down one of the side roads of the Coconut Point Mall, right behind Talbots. Glad I found them though. Very professional. The hot stone massage was everything it should be — relaxing and soothing. They have lots of add ons to choose from — maybe too many to be overwhelming on your first appointment. Went with the foot scrub which I might skip the next time. Kind of ruined the relaxed mood at the end of the massage. Maybe if it was at the beginning, it wouldn’t be so startling. All in all, I would recommend this place to anyone! A great addition to the area. Easy to get appointments and their hours are extensive!
