8 west med-​Surg, Hospice –great nurse!
My Aunt came from a nursing home, on hemodialysis 3xweek, fell out of bed. The ambulance brought her to Palomar. She had her own private room with soothing music, and scene of channel. Her RN, Jency, gave us a lot of time and was on top of her pain med management– most important! My cousin had her switch to hospice as her condition declined. What a beautiful peaceful place to spend her last days. Thank you Jency for taking the time to help my mom process her sisters condition

Best Hospital experience of my Life! I have had the less than ideal opportunity to receive care at many hospitals over the past few years and this most recent stay there was the best ever. ER wait time was short, maybe 10 minutes to be seen by the doc when I went in today. After tests and a diagnosis the whole visit lasted perhaps 2 hours from start to finish. 3 weeks ago they saved my life in the trauma unit while I was unconscious using cutting edge techniques) staff was courteous, helpful, genuinely caring and cheerful, from CNAs, to RNs and Doctors right down to the people in the gift shop. My first room after I initially survived was in the ICU and it was beautiful. There were huge windows letting in full natural light and in this hospital it is only 1 patient per room so there was nice privacy. They were responsive when I was in pain and could not sleep, no run around. Dr. Cloyd in particular stands out as an awesome doctor that checked on me every day even when he was visibly exhausted and I was no longer his patient. My second room after I was doing better on the floor they call Med/​Surg was just as nice as the ICU room. There is a nice couch and seating for visitors as well as a big screen TV with lots of channels for those who like TV. There is a pharmacy and Starbucks in the lobby. Food was ordered from an extensive menu and served by very professional uniformed waiter-​type people, more like a restaurant than a medical facility. The food was great though, if possible, ask them to bring your hot foods up without the green lid on because the lid traps the steam and makes the food taste weird. Everything outside the green lid was great. Amazingly good care in a beautiful and brand new building. I cannot say enough good things about the people and facilities of this hospital! If I ever have another serious medical problem, I know where I want to to go!
