I and my whole family have been having our hair cut by Roxanne for 5+ years. She has only been at lighten up a few months, a different salon before that.. She is fantastic and always accommodating with appointments. We are all picky, especially my teenage girls, and they refuse to see anyone but Roxanne! Did I mention she is funny too?!

I made an appointment with Maryellen after reading a review here on Unilocal,and was very pleased. I was looking for a new stylist after my current stylist retired after 10 years, so I was apprehensive in finding someone new. Maryellen gave me a cut and gave me highlights, and I am definitely coming back! She is very professional and knowledgeable in color too. I would recommend her to anyone!

I torture my hair between visitis to Lighten Up with a motorcycle helmet & chlorine from swimming. Yvonne works her magic with color and I’m amazed every time. She has been terriffic for 12 years! Thanks Yvonne for making me look great.

I currently live in Oceanside and I’ve been more than happy to make the trip out to Lighten Up Hair Studio in Escondido to have my hair cut by Maryellen. When it’s time for just a cut or time to add some color she does an outstanding job. Maryellen has worked at some other hair studios and I’ve followed her where ever she’s moved to, she’s just that good and wouldn’t trust my hair to anyone else. So if your a guy (or gal) looking for a great hair stylist and good prices go see Maryellen here at Lighten Up Hair Studio you’ll be glad you did and you won’t just have a great hair stylist you’ll have a good friend.

I’ve been going to Lighten Up for over two years and I’m extremely happy with Yvonne and her services. She really knows how to make my hair work for ME! Before meeting Yvonne, I could never get my hair to do anything. Now, because of her brilliant cut, I’m able to style my hair every day and for many different occasions. Can’t say enough about Maryellen Maiz at the Studio! She is just great! She has been my stylist for 4+ years and I have never been disappointed. She is so talented, gives great input and is just plain lovely!
