This place is unique and the food is good enough. I would go so far as to say that it is a staple for the area it is in. However, they do need to put a little more TLC into the customer interactions from servers and owners. I understand they are busy most of the time they are open, but every time I’ve come here I’ve noticed that they do their best to get people in and out ASAP. Great for anyone who is in a hurry, but the atmosphere they have built gives the vibe of eating at grandmas or something. However that feeling of eating in grandmas kitchen consuming food that was made with love is all taken away by the hurry up and order, eat, and get out so we can put others at your table attitude.

Got drawn in by the dancing chicken… now it’s a regular stop. Friendly staff, pretty good food. Quaint down home country feel. A consistent, good breakfast choice.

This is place is really good. It is a breakfast spot but we came for lunch and it was on point. The food came out fast and it was fresh. The staff is friendly and customer service is definitely important here. It was really hot out and the offered us iced tea to go. Way to go out of the way for your customers. You guys rock.

First time customer yesterday and this review is based on their Chicken Fried Steak Special. It was excellent. Hash browns crispy and brown. Fresh tasty eggs. Lightly battered steak fried to perfection and a excellent gravy that was even, not mealy and just the right consistency. It was huge but I ate every bite which doesn’t happen too often. Two thumbs easily.

Having a 1 year old and 3 year old is hard when it comes to dining out. But if you want breakfast, and have kids, this is the ABSOLUTE best place EVER. They brought my boys a small plate of cut up fruit, a dollop of whipped cream and crackers, immediately with drinks! What service! As a server, I am SO impressed! The busser also switched our chair to a safer chair for the booster seat so my son doesn’t slip, just as he was doing his rounds! The food was delicious! We had chicken fried steak and eggs Benedict, a cinnamon roll and pancakes. The server helped us save money and was efficient and super friendly! It’s so hard to find such great service and food! Thanks for being our official«go-to» breakfast place and being so kid friendly! P. S. The crackers they brought my kids were also two different sizes! One pack was super small oyster crackers for my one year old and the larger ones for my 3 old! That’s amazing that they pay that much attention to detail! Well done!

This very cozy little restaurant is like coming to grandmas house. They have little knick knacks all over the walls and their food is hitting home! The portions are huge and the service was very warming. I’d come back to this place

I always saw a person in a chicken suit holding a sign on Centre City Pkwy and Mission. Little did I know he was promoting a restaurant and that the sign read ‘Golden Egg Omelet House’ When I first went to the Golden Egg Omelet House on a whim I was pleasantly surprised. The person in the chicken suit never crossed my mind the morning I decided to go. The place is tucked in the corner of a shopping lot and if you see the chicken then you’re nearby, it’s behind the McDonald’s they share the same lot. The place has character with so many trinkets decorating the inside. The food packs a punch; I split an order of eggs benedict, a waffle, an order of french toast and a side of bacon. The side order of bacon made my half of the waffle and french toast amazing. I ate everything and washed it down with iced tea. Great new breakfast place for me to enjoy.

Great mom & pop restaurant! Took my 20 cycling club members here after we cancelled our ride to Palomar mountain due to Rain/thunderstorm. Excellent breakfast menu and awesome service. Highly recommended if you are around this area.

Well I loved my food. The reviews were mixed. But the food was beyond our expectations. I had corned beef hash and hashbrowns and english muffin. The corned beef hash was extra crispy !!! OMG yum! And so were the browns. The coffee was bitter as stated in another review. My review still would of been 5 stars but the waitress had the personality of a mouse. We admired the other waitress who was chatting with patrons and had tons of personality. Our waitress just really didnt say anything to us. It was kinda sad. BUT the food! Yes! Yes! My husband had Denver ommlette and was all so tasty and my roomate had a basic breakfast and loved his.

What a great Breakfast Place. 90 Omelets to choose from. Plus many other options. The place is large, and clean. The staff is very friendly and service is great. It’s hidden in a strip mall and not visible from the road. Lots of parking and a great Breakfast for the money.

Came to visit my friend for the weekend in Escondido. Looked on Unilocal for a place near his house. Cute little country charm. Waitress took others orders of people who came in long after us. Not sure why! I ordered the number 67 omelette. It was pretty good lots of fresh avocado. Bacon, cheese and mushrooms. Hash brows cooked just the way I like them, well done! My friend had the Italian sausage number 62, he said was way to much cheese for him. Coffee was to bitter for my liking, but all in all big portions and decent food, plenty of parking in a shopping center.

I have to say that I really wanted to love this place. I was craving some good breakfast and I found GEOH on Unilocal. First Impression: Super cute country style place that reminds me of the small hole in the wall kind of place you randomly find on a family vacation. There are little crafts and wind chimes every where for sale. I was hopeful that this would be my new hole in the wall treasure. The Service: I have to say that the service is incredibly attentive and kind. They could not improve the service if they tried. I came in, placed and order to go and was check in on several times. I was very pleased with how I was treated. The Food: The omelets are reasonably price, but the prices for the sides and the coffee is way more than they are worth. And while they have over 90 omelets on the menu, it doesn’t make a difference what you order. This place does not know how to make a proper omelet. They take on the approach of cooking an egg blanket and then folding the ingredients in the middle and allowing them to warm. The egg and the ingredients were not actually blended. It tasted good, but the execution was poor. The side of sausage tasted weird. I wouldn’t get that again. I wouldn’t mind trying something else there, but I was really disappointed. The omelet was frankly, amateur, and for a place called Omelet House I have higher expectations.

This is my go to spot when I visit my parents in SD County. I always get their potato casserole; good comfort food. All kinds of ingredient choices. Nomnomnom. Lots of omelette choices. Service is great. The ambiance is family style, meaning it’s one big open room and the tables are all over the place; lots of tables. I love their Arizona style potato casserole is my favorite. What will yours be?

Golden Egg Omelet House has been in Escondido ever since I can remember. It’s undergone a name change here and there, and it’s identity has been played with a little over the years, but it’s still pushing out a great breakfast to its Escondido locals. My family and I dropped in here last Friday to celebrate my father’s birthday. Like me, breakfast is his favorite meal of the day. On a Friday morning, Golden Egg was bustling. Luckily, we only had to wait for a few minutes before being escorted back to a huge table that seated us all comfortably. Omelets, of course, are showcased at this neighborhood institution, sporting close to 100 different options. I was in starvation mode and ordered the Chicken, Cheese and Broccoli Omelet(I think it was #86). All of the omelets come with your choice of toast or hash browns. I opted for the toast because I also decided I wanted a short stack of pancakes. The omelet was huge, and they didn’t spare any expense stuffing it generously with tasty chunks of chicken. I gobbled up all of it, including the pancakes. Every last morsel. Honestly, had I not ordered the pancakes, I would have not been completely satisfied with just the omelet and toast. I think they should include both the potatoes and toast with the omelet at no additional cost. That’s my two cents. Our waitress doted on us the entire time we were there and ensured our coffee cups never became cold. Stellar. They offer a variety of potato casserole dishes that I would like to try. My interest was piqued, and I can’t wait to try one the next time I’m there.
