This place has great food and is awesome. The crapes are delicious and the coffee is the best I’ve ever had

Elixir Espresso & Wine Bar is a cute open and airy spot on the first floor of the mall near the escalator. I used to think hmm this is weird location and everybody can watch you eat/drink from above etc. LOL but you actually forget about that once your inside. and now it’s grown on me after trying it once. I came by last Saturday night and got a Mexican Mocha. The cinnamon, nutmeg and cayenne add a nice extra touch to your typical mocha and it tasted perfect and very legit. definitely a great drink to try and get the same similar flavors from Mexican Hot Chocolate. My Mexican Mocha also had an artistic detail on top of the drink which is sweet. The service was great, and the seating area is really nice! This is actually a really cool choice to enjoy your drink with its beautiful décor. and an amazing ambiance of the mall all around, you forget about it like you’re in your own world at Elixir. ;]]

I was at this Westfield mall in Escondido last Wednesday getting a car battery we all know getting work done on your car can take hours but my wife and I had recently been to the new Elixir Expresso & Wine Bar in La Jolla and we found out they also have a location in this it turned out Elixir was on the bottom level only a short walk from the store where I dropped my car off. A young lady named Jackie greeted me very happily and took my order for a latte and a crêpe. I know their coffee is very good because they use our favorite Caffe Calabria roasted coffee beans at all their locations and their long slim crepes are very good value. Thanks to Ty for making my superb latte and the delicious crêpe. And thank the stars I found some place decent to have lunch at because my car wasn’t ready for another 3 hours… and for around $ 13 with a tip it was great value. Friendly staff, great service, terrific food and beverages and a handy location away from the food court makes this business a winner.

I am willing to forgive and forget any bad past experiences, esp. when a business(like this one) has been Mostly delightful. I came here today a little leary but hopeful that –like how you might feel after a bad breakup– we could start fresh. I came to Elixir prior to finishing off a few Christmas returns. I really hoped to rekindle my relationship with their café vienesse. And rekindle I did! Ahh, vienesse how I have missed you so! I was happy to see that the many(cozy) seating areas, were happily being occupied by couples and singles alike. This time through was a drama-free experience. I was in earshot of any mgmt-related drama and that was very much appreciated. I ordered an orange cranberry scone that was a little on the dry side. Since I cracked the whip on my last review here, I am willing to let this one slide. Five stars.

Every time I shop at this mall I must have a latte from this little gem! The coffee is delicious and decently priced. The workers are always pleasant and make the cutest foam art!

I came here last night and upon going down the escalator stopped by to get a coffee as I was just too lazy to go up top lol plus the store I wanted to see was below. Anyways– I thought it was super cool that it was a «wine and coffee» bar, yup that’s right– WINE and coffee bar that I figured I would give it a try. I noticed they had my favorite Viennese café but I went with a Mexican mocha instead. I ordered the 16oz which was the smallest and most comparable to a tall at Starbucks and I have to say I was disappointed! It was not sweet, at ALL. Which was weird and it was quite close to 5 bucks! I am not sure I’ll stop for another mocha but I will give it another try. Their gelato and food looks amazing and who can go wrong with wine? As far as the ambience, it’s super chic and classy, definitely something I’m comfortable around

This place is located in the North County Faire Mall, first floor, base of the escalators. Small location, thought they have some couches to make it comfy. I usually get gelato affogato when I go there, however, for the portion you get, I feel it’s a bit over-priced. This is comparing it to portion you get at EscoGelato. This portion is served in a large shot glass, it’s like sample sized. They usually are out of a bunch of flavors when I go, too. Good in a pinch but I don’t go out of my way to go there.

Horrible the worker there some white dude with a hipster haircut needs to work on his customer service oh. he also had a cast on his arm… this guy only cared about making special drinks he would make on the crêpe station. i guess his friend on the end of the bar doing her homework is far more important. I came here with my wife looking for a quick glass of wine. but my mind changed quickly with his presence. .work on it bud, if your reading this you should be ashamed. and to the people watch out for this piece of work. Wow! I just saw This guy had the nerve to take sample spoon and look cautiously look around to see if no one was looking and take a scoop and eat it. I’m totally discussed by this…

Service– needs improvement. Was not to accommodating Ambiant– it’s at the mall. Great if u r shopping to relax but not the type of regular café and pastry setting Crêpe — mine was crunchy and burnt. Did not like it

Great coffee, excellent service. My bf and I come here almost every weekend as a mini date. The coffee is always spectacular and in the event that it is not, they will re-make it to your liking. This is the most consistent coffee shop around and trust me, I am very particular and pay close attention to details so I would know. I definitely recommend this place.

I don’t recall ever hearing about this place… nice concept! After my unbeknownst rice lunch at Bangkok Thai(see review), I was hankering for some kind of coffee drink to sip on while strolling through the cool mall. Just as I was about to settle for the green mermaid coffee place, my eyes laid hold of this gem of a place. Great looking pastries, coffee specialties, wines, foods to choose from at a good price. I got a hazelnut caffe latte and banana bread(the bread was on the dry side. thankfully, the tastey latte helped wash the dryness down). Next time, if I have time on my hands, I hope to try a glass of one of their wines with some sort of pastry or cheese board while relaxing at their cool barstool area and people watch. Note: Barstool area is to the left in the photo below — that is, if I had taken a picture of the place in its entirety.(smh)

I love the gelato here. However, their hand crafted coffee drinks are really worth the trip here. The attention to detail reminded me of my last trip to Seattle where they make a real production out of making your coffee just right. The service was excellent and friendly by the two gentlemen working today. They have wine too, but I have always come for the sugar and caffeine fix.

I was jonesing for a cup of coffee, the line at Starbucks was banana pants, and I spied Elixir on the bottom floor from the escalator. I expected to be underwhelmed, especially after the super affordable price. Oh how wrong I was. Their coffee here is amazing. I’ve had a few different things here in a few sizes. Everything is drinkable vs. being scalding hot and tasteless. If it doesn’t look right, or they aren’t happy with the way it was made, they toss the cup and start over. Their foam art is pretty and is poured by hand. If there is no line and you are a nice person, they save the fanciest designs for you. They use square for card transactions, which is pretty neat IMO.

Cheaper than Starbucks and tastes WAY better, you can definitely notice the difference in quality. They have a small menu with various tasty pastries, gelato and they serve wine… now if they could only do something about the super bright, red light district style sign that flashes over you, this place would be perfect. It’s located at the bottom floor of the mall.

Elixir! You must open more locations around SD! This little coffee joint has a cool European vibe and a trendy modern design. Escondido location offers not just excellent espresso and crepes, but also organic teas, gellato, flat-breads and wine! Comfy couches are spread around the coffee bar, plenty of space to get cozy with a glass of wine or a cappuccino. Prices are very reasonable, all the crepes are between $ 5-$ 6. This is a total oasis spot in the middle of the mall!

The red La Marzocco espresso machine. Their basement location helps keep the prices down, and makes a good case for best mall coffee. The coffee — On par with Starbucks, but keep in mind that the coffee was lighter in boldness. No «burnt» coffee taste here. I like the fact that they have two soy milk options, vanilla and regular. The Staff — If I could characterize the workers here it would be «tech support». They’re helpfull, but they’re also a little socially awkward. Fun Fact — The cookies in the glass cookie canister are too big to pull out! It was hilarious watching the cashier trying to pull out my large Apricot Oatmeal cookie through the skinny opening. Guess the cookies grow over time. If you go to this mall and are looking for a hot beverage, take the time to go to the bottom floor and check out Elixir.
