I’ve visited Dr. Schechter for nearly 15 years and continued as a patient even though I no longer live in the area. My parents are also patients. In fact, Dr. Schechter discovered my mom’s melanoma. I’ve only had good experiences with the doctor and staff until two weeks ago. I wanted Dr. Schechter to check out something that concerned me. I called the office to make an emergency appointment and the closest they could fit me in was late September even knowing my family history. When asked about being notified about any patient cancellations, I was told to not hold my breath since the office was so busy during the summer. I quickly made an another appointment with another doctor closer to my work where they fit me in THATDAY, despite it being my first patient visit. My concerns were valid and I needed something biopsied and removed, something that shouldn’t have to wait over 8 weeks. Longterm patients shouldn’t be dismissed for being proactive about their health.

The worst dermatologist. Doesn’t care about his patients. Went to him only because he took my insurance. Was suffering from acne breakouts and he would see me for 5 minutes, tell me the medicine I was taking was working and refill my prescription. My medicine was not working and he was so quick to get me out the door. Terrible doctor. Do not recommend at all.
