I had some real good workouts at start of my membership. I had to put it on hold as my mom is terminally ill. They obliged and I was appreciative. I realized that my mom was going to need more of my time then I anticipated so I advised orange theory I had to cancel because of this issue only. They took my cancellation and then charged me the monthly fee for this current cycle. I called and they advised me that because I cancelled 3 weeks in advance and not the required 4 weeks that I was still liable for that month fee. I explained again my reason and I was told there are NO exceptions. We’ll see ya later orange theory. I will NEVER be a member again under any circumstances. Lots of options out there and a stiff policy like that is not the norm. Way better deals out there. Good luck.

I don’t understand the bad ratings. I was visiting New Jersey with family and decided to give this location a try. It’s very clean, trainer was great, and there was plenty of space to move around. Very comparable to my local Orangetheory in California.

«L-o-l» I wasn’t gonna reply But since yours was insincere, and simple, mine? Will be long and honest. Surely, my dissatisfaction is not actually OrangeTheory Fitness, but an establishment that happens to be OrangeTheory fitness, in Marlboro. The ways in which you lot choose to relay corporate policy is not realistic and not translatable to regular people, I have experienced this & it’s not the people in FOH: it’s the back end and who is overseeing this as acceptable. Also, belittling employees in front of patrons is embarrassing; trying to redeem yourselves as professionals in the interim is too laughable. Seeing a 45 year old man yank a pen out of an employees hand who looks no older than than college age whether they were or not, while talking over her and then asking another employee to move over so he can get a waiver form for me is absurd. I understand there’s all sorts of Malarkey, but I’ve never had to deal with anything like that. I’m sorry but watch the way you speak to people in front of random patrons. It’s a big turn off, I’m sure you’re great people but based on consulting others, it’s not just myself who have experienced it here. On more than one occasion the manager displayed similar behaviour, I’ve been inside 3 times and even put my name in a bowl late last year to try this. I am not here to knock Orange as what it solely rep. alone, but to knock the people running it here, so maybe you know how to have some decency when dealing with patrons, foh, and just overall human decency, and correct the management. I’m sure being spoken over makes kids who take up these jobs feel like utter rubbish. I care about it because I was once one of them who was in my early 20s being harassed and mentally deconstructed at multiple workplaces, all that were ‘higher clientele’ and made me feel like trash. I’ve been hazed in the workplace, that is hazing. It happened until I realized, my sanity is more important than a few cents higher than minimum wage, and my mind is worth much more than temporary $ 200 paychecks. It also didn’t happen to everyone. Now seeing management behaviour, it really pissed me off. If you’re high end, you don’t do things like that to employees in front of a client. The time before that my mom needed me to pick her up, and the manager told me I couldn’t wait in the waiting area. He also told me that due to it being higher clientele they don’t allow it. I’m to pay that money for that indecent childish rubbish? No. I would cry at work at that age while going through that and it’s abusive, no temporary job is worth your sanity, dreams, principles, or efforts. Desperate and out of order. I go to soul cycle and never experienced anything like that, that is high clientele. This is not, and I don’t care if the wealthy of that area attend there. Management, unprofessional & out of order. I can imagine what that felt like, having to deal with that stuff in front of customers. That was once me –Having to feel ashamed, God forbid they did, and I was embarrassed and never came back. As far as what the contract says, actually, it’s absurd and loosely worded. I’m sure you’re intelligent people, which makes this all the more worse. Funny thing, both girls who were speaking to me looked in better shape than who came out to be obnoxious about all sorts. Wouldn’t I take their advice more? It’s extremely inappropriate to ask a 54 year-old woman, anyone for that matter, why she wants to leave your franchise and then sucker her into trying to stay with you all by showing her options of clear sales that she wants nothing to do with. She liked to workout at your vicinity and liked the workouts but that doesn’t give you authority to pry into the private lives of clientele with lives that don’t profit from Orangetheorys financial dollar sign ploys. You don’t know people’s income, life, the only thing you know is that the interest to exercise and get results is there. I’m sorry I can’t take you seriously & even more sorry I’m wasting my time getting pissed about crap but it’s difficult to hear someone in financial triumph getting swindled to do lesser options when really you people don’t give a flying behind about«WTF» Goes on in their real world. I was curious to see Indeed reviews and my guesses were right, despite limiting consumerist corporate ideas(as with anywhere else), it’s really based on the location. My friend lives in Staten Island and we were out & met the owner to the coming location, and they were/it was very friendly. It’s not open yet, but the experience assured me it wasn’t Orange, but this location in Marlboro. The manager was completely ace. I thoroughly appreciate your insincere response to me bringing this to your attention, my hope is that no one else has to experience it, and to apologise for what I had to witness because it was hurtful. I empathize with the younger generation who get warped in poor scenarios like this. And consumerist culture

Looking for a new fitness center to belong to, I really wanted to like this place! I was disappointed of how unprofessional some of the staff was. As soon as the class started, the trainer started eating. The entire place smelled for the duration of the workout. In addition, the lack of attention for a new comer was a big let down. I might just pass on the 2nd free class.

Orangetheory fitness is totally worth the hype. The facility is clean and the equipment is brand new, leaving you to have a flawless workout. The instructors are obviously well trained to instruct diverse groups of people. There are a wide variety of people in each class, some beginners and some experts. Before the beginning of each class they ask members to inform them of any injuries so they can help with their workout. They deliver fantastic workouts that help you get to the orange. They are very knowledgable about the exercises while they offer modifications to members due to injury or on a needed basis and are always available before and after class to help if you have any questions about the workouts, your splat points or about nutrition. The front desk employees are awesome! They are nothing shy of the happy go lucky kind each time a member walks in the door. They know me and many members by first name which makes you feel important. Personally I was having difficulty with a heart rate monitor. I addressed the issue with the front desk and they immediately took care of my issue. Now they frequently check up with me after class to make sure my numbers are being displayed on the screen and that all problems have been resolved. The owner, Alan, is always available to members throughout the day. He is around many mornings and nights that I have attended classes. Alan is always making sure members are satisfied and asking for feedback to improve the facility. Cedric, the manager of the facility has been nothing shy of amazing. He is helpful, he greets members by name, he always asks how their workout went. If it’s your lucky day he stands by the door and gives each member a fist pound as they walk out. There is room for improvement in the sign up process. Members are able to sign up during their monthly pay period. As new members sign up, classes do get full while other members get added to the waitlist. If you get moved off the waitlist and placed in the class then an employee sends you a text message or calls you to let you know that you were accepted into the class. I would strongly recommend trying to get to the orange with Orangetheory!

If I could give this place a great big zero I would. The only pleasant thing about it is that the facility is brand new and quite clean. The staff is pretty much ignorant! Let me explain. The instructors wear headsets, which helps you hear them over the music. Here they yell and denigrate you, while the rest of the class listens — not cool. They speak badly and I really wonder how and where they were certified. A big part of orange theory is staying within fat burning and intense aerobic training zones, many of the large overweight people spend a lot of time in the red zone, which zone little for their fitness level but does much for stressing their hearts. This is never addressed. One instructor asked if I was auditioning for river dance, because of how I was jumping. I did not appreciate the racial slur, I look quite Irish. It was not dealt with by management. The owner is never around, quite the no-no for a franchise and the staff does not know how to speak to clients. The sensor they sell you and they base their workouts on, doesn’t seem to work consistently. When you try to speak to the manager, Cedric, about this he just stares at you. Then asked if we took a poll. Bad attitude! No sense of customer service. When you ask to buy one of their special orange towels they act like its a major inconvenience for them to retrieve it. We started in a hopeful mood, having used a similar program in New Orleans. This place is filled to the brim with very heavy women, old guys and the tattooed masses. Save your cash. Work out elsewhere.
