Very good pizza for a strip mall. Had the artichoke slice and it was great. Loved the doughy garlic knots, but the marinara could be better. Good prices and quick service. Would definitely go back.

As close to NY pie as you’re going to find in Encinitas. Great crust and sauce and the right amount of cheese. Super friendly staff makes going to Flippin a pleasure. Keep it up!

I am impressed by the management team’s swift response time, which occurred immediately after posting my review. The owner reached out and said that changes are in place to address the issue I wrote about. Thank you! I’ll swing by soon. :)

Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience tonight with ordering from Flippin Pizza. Our order estimate was 45 minutes and it was over an hour and a ½, and we live only 1 mile away(movie night date night in). The pizza was made wrong, and our salad was delivered with no dressing. I have not had a bad experience at the actual location, but I will not be ordering delivery anytime soon.

Awesome awesome thin crust pizza. The employees are nice, work their butts off and the place is always clean. You can buy 2 slices + a drink for $ 7.00. Perfect little pizza joint. Quick, easy, delicious!

My favorite pizza place on the entire North Coast. Pizza is great! I love their crust and toppings… Both very good quality. Their service is awesome! I get lunch here at least once a week! Christian is always there when I go, and always remembers me and my family when we visit. I always feel welcomed in this establishment, and the prices are great!

There are a number of Flippin’ Pizzas up and down the coast, all of them very good. It was this place, about 10+ years ago, that helped me start moving away from the west coast style of pizza; you know, the same crap that Domino’s and Papa John’s shills out. I had had New York Style before, those huge and foldable slices, but never in my home town. It was a nice wake up call that there was more to pizza than just what could be delivered in 30 minutes or less. Anyway, I’ve had it all over here, from the Garlic Knots, to the Brooklyn, to the Buffalo Chicken, to my favorite, the Whitestone. It’s all very good and fairly massive as each pizza is over a foot and a half in diameter. They partially cook their pies, finishing them to order, and it all works well with the ingredients they use. Seriously, tasty and quality pizza. Great place all around. About my only qualm would be that the price on the 2 slice and a drink deal seems to keep going up every now and then. It always seemed like a great lunch at $ 6.00. A bit tougher to be as excited now that it’s more.

This place simply does not get it! The pizza is sooooooo dry, with the bare minimum of toppings and sauce. The pizza has next to no flavor due to the lack of ingredients used. The product is 100% overpriced, borderline a rip-off for what you get. This place is your typical California empty nest owner(Jason) who refuses to make changes when he receives feedback from his customers and lets a bunch of kids run his shop while he is off doing other things. The employees are confused and the product is inconsistent depending on who is making your food. All this is a recipe for one star on Unilocal and a dying repeat customer base. Good luck Flippin’ Pizza your run at the top is over. I would suggest trying Hammer’s NY Pizza just down the street for a pizza made the right way.

This has always been my favorite destination for pizza. However I’m disappointed. No have noticed that the crust is getting thinner, there is less sauce and very little cheese. I like a thin crispy crust and it was cooked perfectly but they have really begun to skimp on the ingredients. I know food prices have gone up, so raise the price. Don’t compromise the quality. I normally order from La Costa so I was curious to see if it was just this location but sadly it is both and I suspect all. I encourage you to raise the price and put more sauce and cheese on it and a slightly thicker crust but keep it just as crispy. I am going to try some other east coast pizza destinations from now on.

My first time at Flippin Pizza and the guy at the counter could not be any nicer. He was so willing to please. I got a pizza and salad to go that was wonderful. I will be back again. Thank you so much for your hospitality.

Remember to check in on Unilocal for B1 /G1. Anyway, Flippin’ Pizza is a chain with a few locations around San Diego. Unlike other locations, there is no beer on draught here, bottles only. The pizza is the same as other locations, too. That being said, the pizza is good and the service is always friendly. Plus $ 3.50 for 2 slices, using Unilocal app, is a great deal.

Kid friendly, easy location. We grabbed take out… $ 15 for a bland thin crust cheese pizza, $ 20 for bland skimpy topping pizza… I would say part of the issue might be NY style is not my preference, but compare this to East Coast which is about the same price and there is no competition…

I just picked up my Bronx Pie from the El Camino location in Encinitas close to home. However the number dialed via Unilocal is to a different location in Carmel Mountain. This mix up cause an additional wait time on my order. I feel good so I did not bitch! But I did ask that both locations fix this chingus! I dig the pies here but too often something happens delaying the order. The good in it is that they always make good on a f-up on their part! — Stormin Norm — Pizza Snob!

One of my favorite delivery places in Encinitas. Chewy, authentic East Coast thin crust pizza served quick and piping hot. I always ask that they cook mine well done for that extra bit of crispiness. My dogs and I will polish off a large one and two days. That’s right, my dogs love it too. One pizza will easily serve three adults, maybe four if someone is on a very strict diet. The garlic knots are very good and they don’t cheat you on the garlic, so consider this if you’re inviting someone over for date night with pizza and a movie. So many other local places deliver sloppy, greasy lukewarm pies but Flippin’ is never too greasy. The only downside is that because it is so good, Flippin’ is pretty busy on weekends and during football games, so delivery times can be 45 minutes to an hour. Plan accordingly and enjoy!

Came here for lunch and they were a little busy so it was a small wait which is to be expected during lunch. The guy was friendly who was taking the orders and was hustling getting everyone’s order in the oven to warm up. I got the buffalo chicken and Brooklyn. The buffalo chicken had a good amount of sauces on it so it was tasty. The Brooklyn has pepperoni, sausage, garlic and mushrooms. It was really good! The lunch special if 2 slices and a soda for $ 6.50 is a good deal! I would come back again for a slice next time I’m in the area.

Two slices and a coke for $ 6.50. I thought it was a great deal until I realized that’s pretty much the same as menu price. The cheese pizza was pretty good. They use whole-milk mozzarella cheese, which is delicious. Still not the best pizza I have ever had, but no complaints. The buffalo was bad. There was only a little cheese on it. The chicken was pretty dry, and overall, I couldn’t taste much other than the Frank’s hot sauce they drizzled on it. The service was very good.

Pretty much your standard dumpy pizza here. Reminds me of the cardboard tasting stuff we would get in elementary school but greasier. Was reminded how bad it was when i came in only because i had 2 free slice coupons. Didnt even finish them.

Okay, Flippin PIzza. You now seem to run though my veins-I feel a little bit addicted. See, it started out as a place I drove by a lot Then I stopped in for a slice and wrote my last review. Then I stopped in again… and again Then I tried the Buffalo chicken one. Now, every-time I’m anywhere near the joint it crosses my mind. That kind of love on the side deserves another star, If I had a mistress, it would be Flippin PIzza(I always go by myself, never mention where I’ve been and feel a little guilty after) The customer service is on point and they’ve got raspberry iced tea. I’ll probably go again when I’m done with my Fountain Of Youth Juice Cleanse-it’s a vicious cycle.
