We love coming here as a family because everyone gets exactly what they want and it’s always delicious! My personal fave is BBQ sauce, mozzarella, ovalini, and goat cheese followed by chicken, tons of pineapple, basil, and artichoke hearts with a little more bbq sauce on top. So good!!! Even better, we all usually have leftovers to eat the next day!

Glad to see when I move to San Diego I will still have plenty of the same dining options I enjoy in LA like Blaze pizza. Service here was excellent, our pizzas were made quickly and tasted great. They have a huge selection of toppings as well as great salads. I had one of each and enjoyed both still having leftovers for that evening. Space is clean and well maintained, plenty of seating and not too busy. Toppings are fresh and great quality, love their pesto and made in house balsamic. Prices are great, excellent place to take kids and picky eaters!

This place is fun. Design your own pizza and it’s done in minutes. Have to go back and try different combinations. And kids love it! Hint: make a half and half pie, more fun and flavors.

Gluten free pizza — yum Good prices — yeah Inability to keep hot food hot(they really need some heat lamps or to pull out the pizzas in one group at once, even if one takes longer) — bummer Inability to keep cold food cold — ummm, that could be a problem, don’t give cold food, sick as salads top go until hot food is ready to go Rude comments from shift manager(acts like he’s the owner, maybe he is) — not so awesome Still not sure how to process online orders(We ordered online and people who arrived after us had their pizzas done before us) — what? Not cool! I like this place(the one in northern California had their act together, but this place is still very new and it shows). I’m looking forward to see if they can go see how other places handle online orders and test out ways to solve for keeping everyone’s pizza hot(color coding maybe for groups).

It was my first time here at Blaze Pizza and it was really good! It is basically like a chipotle for pizza! The pizza is fired in only 3 minutes! You can get anything and everything on your pizza! For their make your own 11 inch pizza, it is only $ 8. Which is a really great deal for a surprisingly quick meal. The staff was awesome and provided great customer service. The place was clean. The dinning area is a bit small, when I was there it was dinner rush hour and people were waiting for tables inside. They do not have a great selection of wine, but they do have Saint Archer beer which is so good! I was surprised they had that specific brand! I will be in again sometime soon hopefully!

Good Pizza at a Great price! These guys put out a nice 2 person size pizza quickly and with a smile. It’s a good stop for those on a budget. The cheese pizza is $ 5! The rest are about $ 8. So not bad there… The staff are very friendly and if you want beer and wine are available(all I saw was Stone Brewery beer which I am not a fan of). Buon Appetitó

Great place for a customized pizza. Very nice and friendly staff and great prices. Lines can get long during busy times but it goes by pretty quick. Just stare at the toppings and you’ll be all set.

Always pretty good, if only the line moved as fast as their oven. When it crowded plan on a line to the door and a wait of 20+ mins to get your food upon entering. I get the Meat Lovers and load it up so i ask for them the cook it just a littlebit longer to harden the crust underneath and in the middle otherwise it flops immediately in your hand. Its awesome good the next morning with leftovers. The toppings are plentiful to choose from and fresh. The young-ins staff are always friendly and helpful to explain if you are a newbie. On some evenings they could use more staff though it might be too crowded with more cooks in the kitchen.

Excellent service and an awesome variety of toppings make this a must visit(and re-visit) pizza place. Despite only an hour till closing, employee energy is high and service is friendly. Personal pizza is awesome and this place does it right. Excellent blood orange lemonade! Deliciousness is guaranteed to ensue. The only thing I’d add is a pesto sauce. Fresh basil is offered though so– no losses here.

Holy pizza heaven! We visited blaze for the first time yesterday and it was simply amazing! They have so many options and so many ingredients, and everything is so fresh! We wanted to split a pizza and the staff was very accommodating with putting different ingredients on different halves, although now I wish we would have each gotten out own because of how delicious it was! Blaze have really perfected the«build your own pizza» concept. Can’t wait to come back!

I placed an order online for two pizzas and a salad. When I got the the store, the manager mentioned that they had been really busy and hadn’t prepped my order yet but offered to give me a pizza on the house… Fantastic customer service! On to the pizzas… Delish! I had half BBQ chicken and half white top. Both were really good but the white top was perfection! Hubby built his own pizza and loved being able to customize. We also shared a roasted veggie and Gorgonzola salad, which had great flavor. The pizzas are a good size, we probably could have shared one but we’re happy to have leftovers :) We will definitely be back soon!

I love this place! It’s great to be able to order online and pick it up on my lunch break. It’s $ 7.95 to make your own pizza and it’s totally worth it. The crust is bomb. It’s that thin chewy crust that has a slight crisp to it. The employees are always really friendly and are happy to help. The pizza isn’t thrown into the wood fire until you arrive, so your pizza is extra fresh and not soggy. The ingredient options are great. The atmosphere is awesome and relaxed. It always looks clean and customers are happy. What more could you want?

Oh hey Blaze! Why did it take me so long to partake of your amazing goodness?!! Seriously pizzas were amazing! Love the thin crispy crust that had a perfect chewiness and great flavor. We got the white top and green stripe. Both were delicious. I preferred the green stripe, my husband the white top. Figures though — chicken, red peppers, & pesto vs. white sauce and bacon ;) my boys devoured the simple pie. Sauces were so good, cheese to topping to sauce ratio was perfect. Pizzas cooked super quick. The price is a bargain! $ 7.95 flat fee. No matter how many toppings or if you get a signature pie. The simple pie(just red sauce and cheese) is $ 5.95 and perfect for my 4 and 3 year old to share. Not too many other places where they can both eat for $ 6. Don’t forget the Blood Orange Lemonade. So, so good! Place was super clean and staff was very friendly. Not a ton of seating indoors, but a pretty big patio. We will be back on the regular!

Man, my first visit to this place and I am legit blown away! I thought that with all the different places popping up where you could get DIY pizza, that the possibilities are endless! I’ve tried a good handful of places around the north county area, by far this is the one that I LOVE!!! Hands down, the flavors really pop when biting into a delicious tasty slice of pizza that they cook right in their ovens at their location. All the toppings have an open salad bar beat! My one suggestion, their garlic is DELICIOUS, but beware otherwise you may get a good garlic breath going and even Dracula wouldn’t would to chat with you!

Everything leans towards a 5 star experience. Just one issue. The center of the pies always seem to be a little undercooked and soggy. The flavor and freshness is excellent they just need to make cook it a few seconds longer. I know they bank on it being fast and all but the cooking process is maybe just a little too fast. There are so many toppings to choose from so there is absolutely something for everyone here. I myself prefer the spicy sauce with veggies. The sauce has a kick and it just adds to the experience. Very reasonably priced and service is friendly and quick. Next time I’m going to ask for it to be cooked a little longer and then update my stars. =)

I have been a fan of Blaze Pizzas since I first tried them up in Carlsbad. I usually go for the meat lover’s, but this time I went for the Green Striped with chicken and added mushrooms with a pesto and olive oil drizzle. The pizza also came with fresh arugula and roasted red peppers and some really good cheese( ). The tender chicken was used sparingly, as item I am going to ask them to double up on next time. Everything tasted great, and I loved the slight bitterness of the arugula and pesto had a very good freshness to it and a nice garlic flavor( ). The crust was of the thin variety, it was cooked well, and had a good crunchy appeal to it( ). You can add more topping to their own creations, like I did with the mushrooms, or you can build your own and watch it being created down the assembly line with all the fresh ingredients( ). Service is always up beat at Blaze pizza and very friendly as well. I like that the manager goes around asking everyone if they enjoyed their meals or if they needed anything.

I wrote a review for Stone Oven recently, focusing on the three components that make a damn good pizza. Taste, obviously at the top of the list, followed by the proper use of good ingredients, with cooking technique bringing it all together in the end; price can be a mitigating factor, too … but that wasn’t really a problem at Blaze. At Stone Oven, they may use fine ingredients, but leaving them sitting around for hours with poor cooking lead to a disappointment in what could have been a great tasting lunch. At Blaze, brilliant ingredients, on pizzas made to order, lead to a great taste, that is marred slightly by improper cooking. Again, the taste is really there. The food at Blaze is very enjoyable, especially considering the«Fast-Food» style concept. But whether it’s due to the rapid cooking time(180 seconds as proudly exclaimed on their menu) or the overuse of certain ingredients, instead of having a thin pizza that should have a crisp, almost cracker-esque crust, you end up with floppy slice that drops all of its toppings whenever you try and pick it up. Some may not think this is a very big deal, a lot of pizza places have big foldable slices; but, when the chefs even state that the whole point of their thin crust is to have a small slice that cooks to stiffness and stands up when you grip it just by the edge, then the pizza should come out that way. And when you do cook it properly, the crust burns slightly, adding a layer of caramelized sweetness that can enhance the taste. All of that is missing from Blaze. Still, delicious nonetheless. I had their White Top, a cream sauce pizza with bacon, garlic, oregano, and a healthy amount of arugula. Not overly salty, a good balance of all ingredients, very yummy. My only qualm of the taste was that the arugula wasn’t as peppery as I was hoping, but the underlying flavor was there. As mentioned before, undercooking made the crust a bit floppy, but on this pie it wasn’t such a bad thing. On my girlfriend’s choice, however… She had herself an Art Lover, artichokes, ricotta, garlic, and ‘dollops’ of red sauce. I quote that because those dollops turned into full ladles glopped over half of the pizza. Picking up a slice meant a slide of everything onto the platter and a very wet chew to every bite. Again, the flavor was there and very good, but using about half the sauce would go a long way in improving this dish. And possibly rethink the 180 second policy. It doesn’t have to be much, maybe 210 seconds might give them the crisp crust they are trying for. Lastly, I have to note, that the staff was fantastic. Everyone was concerned about the experience we had, and not just because management told them to. There seemed to be genuine concern and a drive to improve their product. I know I will definitely head out there in the future.
