Despite this being a restaurant chain that espouses being«healthy,» this location does not even offer tap water to drink. The sign on the wall says they charge 25 cents for a water cup. This would be bad enough, but, in reality, they don’t have any tap water at all. What a joke!

How you open til 10pm but you can’t get a sandwich cause the literally only have one sandwich roll in the whole place and all the food is already put up. They on some real bullshit at this Subway…

OK, this is just a Subway, a part of a chain selling reasonably-priced made-to-order sandwiches that you’re probably all familiar with. However, the people at this location work really hard, and for that reason I think this location merits a 5-star review as a highly recommended place to buy a sandwich. Even when there’s a line during lunchtime rush, they proceed efficiently through all the orders and really seem to respect the fact that people only have a limited time to buy their lunch. I guess I should note one negative point, even though it’s not their fault: having been there a bunch of times, I’ve noticed that once in a while someone comes in who doesn’t seem to be able to afford lunch but orders a lot of stuff anyway, or just wants to argue for some reason, and manages to slow down the whole line for a while before noisily leaving without paying. If Subway ever switches to a system where you order and pay before they make your sandwich, it seems like that could have some advantages.

I called several times today to place an order over the phone and each time I called they didn’t answer the phone. It rang and rang and rang. However when I went in to get my 6 sandwiches for my lunch meeting, the lady did a decent job moving quickly to fulfill the order. Had she not been decent, I would have rated this branch a 1 star. Sorry Subway, but you’ve got to step up your game!

I go here during breakfast in the mornings and I always get quick and kind service from the lady there. The food is great and service is fast, and I always get my coffee. The only downside is the bums outside that sometimes harass me for money.

I like to grab my sandwich in the morning for lunch to beat the afternoon crowd. Either way the service is fast. I usually take my food to go. The dining area is nice and spacious with great windows for people watching. They make a good sandwich. They are never out of toppings or bread. There not stingy with portions. And dont give you the stank eye if you ask for a little more of something. The staff is nice enough. I love that they have a sign up that they will not help you if your on your phone. Common courtesy people!

Subway has been slipping for years. This location is a good example why. I’ll keep this short and non-graphic. Let’s just say that their footlong tuna has had me sick for the last 24 hours! Definitely not going back to this location or another subway for a very long time.

This place is down the street from my office, so I’ve popped in here twice in three weeks. My experience was been mixed. My most recent visit is what is prompting two stars. Lackluster service, along with veggies that didn’t look fresh, and employees that point to options rather than talk to you. Is it that hard to say, cheese? Or, toasted? The final straw is a lady employee that looks like she needs a wax… or a razor. For the love of God, a woman should not have a beard or a mustache, especially when her face is above my sandwich!

Average Subway, nothing special. I come to this Subway a lot because its close to work. I wouldnt recommend it to anyone. The employees are very stingy with the toppings, but slather on the condiments. I never toast my sandwich because it always comes out as unchewable brick when I do. If you have options dont bother, especially w/Smashburger and Panda opening next door.

I am not one of those people who nitpick about the small things. However when you work at Subway and you disapprove of the way I like my sandwich(untoasted) and you voice it, we got a problem! Then you’re texting while you ring me up?! I just want a standard turkey sandwich! You can hold your opinion lady lol. From now on, Im going to the across the street from West Oakland Bart, where there’s bullet-proof windows and great customer service… :)

Pretty excellent location here but the workers here have zero personality! They don’t say hi like most Subways, don’t smile and make you feel pretty unhappy. Boo! I swear, if the 2 people working here today smiled… I bet their faces would crack right off! I’ll keep coming here because of the location, but this place is one of my least favorite Subways in the Bay Area… and I eat at a lot of them! Smile people!!!

I had been coming here every once in a while to get a quick sandwich. I figured — it’s Subway. They’re the same everywhere, and at least I know what to expect. Until recently. Apparently this chain has not had regular mayo for the last five years, according to the less than helpful and polite employee who just made my sandwich. Yes, even though it’s on the menu, they never use regular mayo for anything but tuna. Which is strange since I have ordered sandwiches with regular mayo at this exact store in the past. After having already been declined extra olives(«I already put extra olives on it»), I decided it was not worth trying to argue this point. Instead, I won’t be back and would encourage others to find another location as well.

I just moved from Rancho Cordova, CA to Emeryville on June 23, 2013. I liked the Subway near my old home they knew my 10 year old son had peanut allergies and would make his cookies with care. I wanted to go to the Subway closer to my home which was the 3999 San Pablo Blvd in Emeryville, CA but when I got inside the worker who was an older India woman didn’t even greet me and when she spoke was rude and she rushed my order thru she wasn’t friendly at all. She wasn’t even out in front when I arrived and took forever to come out. I told my husband I will not be returning to this Subway ever again. Luckily there are three other Subways in Emeryville, CA. I feel if I come into your eatery I want to be treated with respect and you should be friendly if not I won’t be back for an attitude and the food wasn’t even that good. Zero Stars

This is another one of those Subways were the Indian Engineer at a nearby tech company brought over his Mom and Aunties to start making sandwiches for African Americans. It is safer than a liquor store in the ghetto or the wino district. Not only is it safer for the Fam Bam business, but it is available, since the Lebanese have the Liquor stores and the Sikhs have all the Airport Cabs. (Of course I am guessing here, but probably not far off!) There is another Subway in Pleasant Hill that has the same set up: 2 middle aged East Indian women handling foot longs all day and not looking that happy doing it. They must be members of the conservative BHP, not the Congress party. Subway still has some $ 5 foot longs, which is a better deal than Good Vibrations but perhaps not as satisfying for you Girls. The Men like it though. Now they have a handful of 6″(more realistic length!) sandwiches going for $ 3.50. I guess they have to keep up with the Vietnamese Banh Mi’s in the Bay Area? You never thought sticking some meat between some warms buns was so competitive, did you? Or maybe you did, because a lot of people are doing it. 6″ Black Forest Ham, only 290 calories w/o cheese or mayo. Is this how Jared did it?

Well… came here for a quick & cheap lunch. The woman who handles the condiments doesn’t listen so well…“want everything?”…me «no mayo, just mustard»…squirt…mayo & mustard. Ok… never mind! My colleagues say that woman never gets their order right. I don’t want to sound rude but how does that happen when she is making it and you say what you want right to her face?

Not the best Subway I have been to. They are very skimpy on the condiments. I have been there 3 times and the same Indian people are working, so maybe they own it. When I order my bread and sandwich, they seem to understand me, but when I ask for extra condiments all of a sudden I get a quizzical look like they don’t understand me. My advice is find a different location. There is one funny happening here with the girl in line behind me: Girl — «Can I have a ham and turkey» Worker — «6 inch or footlong?» Girl — «Which one is bigger?»

I rarely rate chains; since most restaurants are the same. If I were to rate chain place, it would be something really good or bad. This is for the latter. I have never received such shoddy service at a Subway before. I’m not expecting five star service, but I was not expecting such attitude from everybody from the sandwich making assembly line. If I wasn’t with a business associate I would have walked out. I understand that you are busy, but I couldn’t hear you over the din of the people inside. So when I don’t understand what you are saying. Don’t click your toungues and give me attitude. Thanks and you will not hear from me again.

I’m not quite sure why this place was rated so low. Clearly, this is a fast-food restaurant and should be rated accordingly. I think they prepare the food very well, it’s always clean and they always have smiles on their face and ready to serve you. There is one girl that works there that is super skimpy on the condiments and overnukes the sandwich with lettuce as someone else already mentioned, but overall, the other people do a really great job in putting the sandwich together. I’ve tasted better bread at other subways, to me it tastes a little under done here, but I am basing my observation off of the honey oat which I always get. I wouldn’t recommend getting the roast beef generally from any subway as for some reason they always have this rainbow colored shine to them and have made me sick on more than one occasion — but this isn’t specific to this place only, it’s generally like that in every subway(no idea why). The neighborhood is okay, it’s on the corner of a busy street so it’s not the nicest looking location, but I don’t feel like I’m being threatened at all. I go here every day for lunch or breakfast. or any meal really, lol. It’s good cheap food and super healthy, can’t go wrong! :D

What can you say? It is Subway. People from out-of-town may want a quick bite to eat that is not fried or greasy.
