I didn’t actually eat any of the food here. Came in on a Sunday and it was pretty busy, which I took as a good sign. However, once we go in the restaurant, smelled the place, and took a look around; we walked right out. It was slightly moldy smelling and the place looked super dingy. Who knows though, the food could be fantastic.

Was very turned off by the fact that my friend wanted the special(breakfast) and requested that instead of sausage links could she get bacon due to a allergy to fennel. the waitress who was also the owner said she wouldn’t make the exception. And I asked her please make just this one exception and it was an adamant NO. this left a really bad taste in my a1mouth I mean come on. Really? You can’t make that simple switch for a customer with a severe allergy. she was the owner for Pete’s sake. we would have left if it were not for the simple fact we were starving and said«f» it. I would think that a home town restaurant in a small town u.s.a would treat customers with a little class. It’s not hard to make acceptions. never ever will come back nor wouldn’t recommend the rude treatment. After she obviously saw me writing my review we were treated like pariahs… too comical. L

This place is a great spot to stop in and have a great sandwich and take in the views of small town ellensburg. The staff are friendly, and always prompt to check on the customers.

Service was awful. Not only did I have to wait 10 minutes for service, but the service was crap. The waitresses yell across the floor to each other and hold conversation that isn’t work related. Could hear fighting in the kitchen and the food was horrible and cold. Had to ask repeatedly for refills. I mentioned everything to waitress she just said it wasn’t her fault and her coworkers are new and don’t know what they’re doing. Didn’t take any money off our ticket even tho we barely ate our food and had it sent back. Some kids that belong to a worker there run around and are noisy. I also noticed it was dirty. The whole place! Especially the bathroom. If a restaurant has a dirty bathroom, think of what else they don’t clean. Avoid this place!!!

I can’t give this place any stars. The service staff was okay the place is outdated the food is not good … powdered gravy terrible handmade biscuits small portions two pieces of small bread for the French toast two small sausages and two eggs for $ 10 if the food was good it would be worth it I have no idea what people are thinking this is not a 4,3,2,or 1 star diners. I was embarrassed that I brought my family there from out of town giving one star because can’t post if I dont

We came here while passing through from Seattle looking for a late breakfast. This place had the best reviews so we checked it out. We were severely disappointed. To start off we had to wait at the front for over five minutes before anyone acknowledged us. Worst of all was that several servers saw us, but just chose not to come over or even tell us they’d be there in a minute. Of course things did not get better. Another five minutes to get a server to our table to take our drink and food order. Then we don’t see her for another 10 minutes when we finally get our coffees. A solid 20 minutes later when we get our food. Our server does not bring out the food and it is obvious that my eggs had been siting under the heat lamp for a decent amount of time. Half way through our meal we see our server again who checks up on us. At this point we just wanted to eat and go so we didn’t complain about the food being dry and over cooked. The whole meal took about an hour when it should have been maybe 30 minutes. There were no apologies for the wait or even an acknowledgment that serves may not have been stellar. As for the food, it’s your typical greasy spoon diner. Not particularly good food or good prices, but edible. My advise is maybe grab food before you leave so you don’t have to stop in Ellensburg and be subjected to the Copper Kettle.

Come here every year with three other college friends and love the ambiance and food! Would love to stay overnight sometime. Was here for Roosevelt High School reunion — a good place for a gathering like that.

The omelets were over cooked and the waffle was undercooked. The service was good but that didn’t make up for the food.

Went there again today, I have to say, there has been a large improvement since they’ve been in business. Great salad bar, service improved greatly, all your food now congress our at once and cooked to order, prices very reasonable. Not much really to complain about!

Service was not good. Food was alright, but I could have made myself the same kind of food here at home.

Stopped here on our way to Spokane(from Seattle). Love this diner. This is our first time here. Decided to stop by after topping off on gas. The diner has a medium size parking lot. Inside has lots of room. It isn’t that busy on Thursday afternoon. However, the service is great. Lyndsay was our server… very polite and wanted to make sure we were enjoying our meal. She made sure our cups were always filled, food was too our taste and gave us enough time to enjoy it before paying our check. We had a Veggie Burger and a Breakfast Dish. Veggie Burger: Descent taste(mediocre) — BUT the fries were good. Fresh crisp to it. Breakfast Dish: 2 eggs, hash browns and bacon with toast. –not too bad. It’s a taste. i would also get from restaurants like Perkins, IHOP, etc. Overall impression: Not too bad. I would come here again. Not because the food is SOOOOOAMAZING… but it’s decent! The service is great and the atmosphere is welcoming.

First off, we had to wait over 90 minutes before they realized we still didn’t have our food. The service is CRAZY slow!!! When we got there, there were only 2 people working, though one of them only on the floor. No one apologized for the crappy service until after they brought out our food and told us it was on the house. Okay, so that was nice, but making us wait over 90 minutes for breakfast? Ridiculous. And the food was crap. The gravy is disgusting; straight out of a can. Prices are fairly high for such low quality food. Huge waste of time.

Was expecting more from this place. We had a larger group so I was prepared for a mix up or two. But multiple plates were mixed up with each other and some items didn’t even come to the table. My French toast was soggy and undercooked so that was a bummer. Our server acted extremely annoyed from the beginning and used a sarcastic irritated tone most of the time no matter how much I tried to make it better with«please and thank you’s». Plus we ended up being over charged because we ordered two pieces of toast and after forgetting to bring it, ended up bringing out 4 pieces. I really don’t understand why out server was so rude… I’m watching her as I write this. She is sitting down with another worker and while they roll their eyes at each other. All in all it’s a nice place and hopefully you catch them on a better day

Solid diner with a large menu and huge portions to replenish all the calories we lost dancing at the Gorge the previous evening. Our server was very friendly. * Open chili burger — $ 9.95, with a fried egg + $ 1.75 Served with fries. * Handout omelette — $ 12.99 Choose any or all of these ingredients: ham, sausage, bacon, peppers, onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, chili, cheese. Served with hash browns and choice of toast.

A group of us needed breakfast on the way back from the Gorge — and this place showed up on Unilocal. The owners are super cute and friendly. Reminds me of a place where my grandparents used to take me growing up. They had fresh brownie samples as you walked in and had a ton of menu options. Everyone ordered something different — from grilled cheese to french toast. All the food was good, it just took a long time to get to the table.

I love this place! The food was delicious and the prices were great but most of all their Alredo was perfection. I had pork chops with applesauce it came with a choice of sides that were awesome and I chose the fettucini! WOW it was so good. If I lived closer I would be a regular customer. My compliments to the chef!

So good and AWESOME service! Great salad, super refreshing! The chicken strips were pretty generic but that is exactly what I wanted. I substituted the fries for a baked potato– it was great! It was the perfect stopping point on out way home! We will come again!

Ellensburg is about halfway between Seattle and the Tri-Cities, a road trip I frequently make, and is a logical stopping point for a meal. In the interests of time, I usually stop at one of the Rossow’s burger establishments. But twice recently, we dined at Copper Kettle. Copper Kettle is typical American diner cuisine, served by a very friendly and efficient waitress. Witticisms abound upon the restaurant walls. Both times, I went with the mushroom and onion gravy over mashed potatoes. This is a very good dish — the gravy is flavorful and the mashed potatoes ultra creamy. I noticed a neon«Bakery» sign in the restaurant, so they do their own baking, and seem to do it well because the dinner roll I received with my meal was better than your average bread.

The Copper Kettle… I cannot recommend it enough! Great seating options, booths or tables so its good for the old and the young. Highly recommend the pie… it’s homemade; I asked. Pumpkin was the slice I had, but a buddy of mine had the pecan one. In conclusion, the prices are good, the food is great, and the service is excellent… IF, you are nice. It sure pays to be nice. Highly recommend this place and recommend being nice :) Thanks Copper Kettle! –Also, The Caesar salad was great, the fries are quite nice, and be sure to lock the bathroom door.

Drove around town arguing with my room mates over lunch and after flipping a coin, we decided to brave this newly re-opened restaurant despite the lack of reviews. The restaurant allows you to choose where to sit, which I love since I like a little bit of privacy when eating, which there was a decent amount of. The prices were relatively cheap and the menu was a bit small but worked great for a picky eater like myself. You can order breakfast anytime too and unlike other places that offer this, you aren’t limited to combos. I ordered the french dip with fries and loved it. Where a lot of places just slap some roast beef on cold bread, they used a delicious juicy-roasted bun and the fries were great. The waitress was the only one on the floor, so after a while she was too busy to refill drinks(which is why I gave it four stars instead of five), but besides that she was great! Definitely a small town diner, but it does its job as one excellently!
