Charming! A guest house with a wine tasting room on the first floor is always four stars in my book. There are two large rooms that have their own bathrooms, you just have to cross the hallway to get to them. It was quiet, private, and cozy. You get a little step stool to help you literally climb into your giant comfy bed. Two things would have made my stay better: better in-room coffee and not having the entire house to myself. It was a little disconcerting when I checked in and was told how to lock the front door, that I was the only one staying here, and the keeper left. I was the only person in the whole place all night. A strange feeling, but with deadbolts on the front door and my room, I wasn’t the least bit worried. plus this is Ellensburg, not exactly the crime capital of the world. Goverment rates for $ 77 may be available if you ask and they are in shoulder season.
