Love them. Basic, no fuss meals like burgers and burritos. They are quick and affordable. Which is great, if you have a budget to work with. My go to order is their crispy chicken sandwich combo with seasoned fries, of course. They have a good breakfast selection as well. We tend to get an omelette or breakfast sandwich. All meals ordered here never failed to satisfy our hunger. Everything here is cooked to order. The owner and staff are really friendly as well. Parking is shared with other small businesses. Support local. Local strives harder to please you and meet your expectations. m

The woman who mostly runs Snax is super friendly and accommodating. The burger combos are the way to go — just sooo yummy and fresh! She does her best to make your dining experience pleasant — like asking several times if everything is all right and refilling sodas for free with a smile. The inside dining area is cozy and a little run down looking. But who cares? If you want someplace trendy and new go there and pay more. But if you just want great food at fair prices with friendly service, come to Snax.

Terrible, awful service — serious. I had eaten there previously and the burgers were fantastic. This time, the lady running the grill was by herself. She had a helper whom knew absolutely nothing and despite yelling at him in machine-gun Spanish, she was doing everything. Bought and paid for my order and waited. And waited. And waited. A large group came in who had phoned in their order. And they waited. And waited. And waited. I finally could wait no more(had to go back to work) and asked her for my money back. That was a foreign concept to her. Instead she threw a bunch of stuff into a greasy bag and apologized and said it was now«to go». I left it on the counter. I want my money back.

Such a great place to grab a quick bite! Super fast and friendly, and the breakfast sandwich was TODIEFOR! Crispy bacon, eggs, melty cheddar cheese… yum!

I’ve only gotten the cheeseburger combo, but it keeps me coming back — real burger, fresh lettuce & tomato, solid fries, comes with a drink for under $ 7. Definitely not a place for a sit-down dinner, but it’s perfect for grabbing lunch and going up the hill to watch the planes land at LAX. Great for those days when you want to slow down and enjoy simple, honest pleasures.

Normally I have a good experience when I come get food from here. It is a nice covienent spot by my house that I can walked to and the guy that work there mainly in the morning is always nice. Today I decided to go pick up a burger and fries and I walked in and the lady that was working in there at the the time saw me walk in nodded her head and continue having her conversation in Spanish with another lady in there soooooo I am standing there with a look on my face like ummmmmmm are you going to come help me but Nope I was just standing there. So the phone rang and I am still standing there and she still didn’t say anything to me at all. She could have least said I will be right with you hell she should of said that when I walked in. I just very upset that the older man that normally works there want because she was just outright rude and that is not good customer service at all. When she went to answer the phone I politely walked out because I refuse to give anybody my money when I am being ignored!

Ok, I received a flyer in the mail and just had to take a walk over to give it a try. I like Mom & Pop places for burgers. If you’ve read some of my other reviews, you’ll see I’ve had a few burgers in places where I probably should have gone with the special. But, with that being said, Snax Burgers has very good burgers. I went for lunch and had the Super Cheeseburger special. It includes steak fries and a fountain drink(free refills, yes!!!) and is very good. Comes standard with thousand island dressing, tomato, onion, pickles and lettuce. When I first got it, it looked like a single as only one patty was sticking out the side but once I bit into it, I realized it was a double. It does have an A rating by the health department but don’t confuse that with a place that is good for a first date. It is a casual, slightly divey burger joint that some people may be put off by. But, as mentioned, I like the hole in the wall type places and this place was as clean as most hole in the wall restaurants(but it could use a really good cleaning and some new tablecloths). The burger is nice and juicy, highlighted by the juices dripping out onto my tray. The burger is nice and hot and the lettuce was nice and cool. Interesting taste effect. Good flavor, moist and, did I say this before, tasty. The steak fries(by other pictures I’ve seen) either come out golden or slightly darker. I prefer the golden ones and was lucky to get a tray full of them. Again, tasty and hot, easily topped with ketchup by their small nozzle ketchup dispensers(look for my Unilocal art in the photos). Parking is a bit tight so you may have to park on the street. They don’t have a bathroom in this side of the restaurant so they send you over to Hank’s to use their bathroom. Interesting set up. Plastic table covers might remind you of being at your Grandma’s house(depending on her income level). Definitely a divey burger joint but a very good value for your lunch dollar(my Super Cheeseburger special was $ 7.90 including tax). Worth a try if you’re in the area and craving a good burger. Enjoy!

Mother F these terrible reviews. Every bad reviewer works at Steve’s burgers on main. This place is top of the line gourmet anyone that thinks otherwise is downright delusional

Horrible«Steak» sandwich. The sandwich was mostly lettuce and a few slices of what I called«dried beef jerky». I couldn’t even finish half of it. I ended up tossing the remaining half of the sandwich since it was not even fit for a dog to eat. I thought I ordered a salad with all that lettuce they used in the sandwich. Unbelieveable to pay almost 8 dollars for that garbage. The french fries was not too bad. At least they got something right. No wonder the place is empty during lunch hours.

The food here is pretty good. The service is not as bad as some have said. The chili is actually quite good but it sells out. I like the tacos but I eat them plain. If you want accoutrement then stick to the burgers. Anyhow. Doesnt suck and most importantly the pricing is not the usual bend-me-over-I’m-pre-greased usually found in the area.

Wow! There is rude, then there is the guy in this place. We ordered a tuna melt combo, with an extra fry. He was impatient and not really listening to us. We got our food, the bread was burned, the fries tasted burned, I told him and he said it’s the same as always. Dude really needs to change the oil. When asked where our drink was, he said we didn’t order one… This place was hideous from the time we walked in the door, until we walked out… NASTY food, and a little old man with a Nasty attitude!

I ate at this place today and let me tell you I order a bacon cheese burger and it was really good! I also order a cup of chili with beans, but I guess the lady did not understand what I was saying, so I only got the Chili and I ate very little of it and showed it to another customer, as it was full of grease. I was scooping out the grease by the spoon fulls and finally just gave up and thanked them for the fantastic burger they had made me.

I should have turned around and left as soon as I saw those frozen hockey puck burgers hitting the flat top, but I didn’t, so here we are. Nothing that I saw them make during the course of my meal was fresh, though I will say the cook made the best of what he had to work with. The frozen fries came out about as golden brown and crispy as you could ask for, the burger was. ok. Service wasn’t great, especially after the owner stepped in and started trying to help as people started getting handed the wrong food and drinks. Overall, not a place I plan to go back to.

Do yourself the favor and go off the beaten path for awhile. I’d give this place 3 ½ stars if Unilocal would let me(This is definitely a tweener). Snax is in spitting difference of at least three pretty well-regarded burger haunts(the Habit, the Counter, and the always-crowded In-N-Out on Sepulveda). Taste-wise, they serve a commendable burger. The meat is well-grilled and seasoned, the greens are fresh, and the buns lightly toasted. So why is this place always empty? What’s missing here compared to the aforementioned establishments? 1) Over-wrought décor 2) Marketing 3) A long wait, and 4) With the exception of In-N-Out, the gourmet price They run a lunch special that includes a savory burger, an unfairly ample supply of wedge fries, and a drink for $ 6.(Chili is extra if that’s your thing) And you can get«in and out» of Snax in just a few minutes. It might not be fancy, but it will hit the spot.

I stopped here because I didnt want to drive anywhere else. I walked in and it was just another burger joint. There was one lady working the grill. She took my order then another guy came and rang me up. I ordered a veggie burger that was pretty good. The best thing about this place is that they serve breakfast all day!

Maybe I was feeling a little nostalgic because I was getting ready to go back to Jersey, but this place really reminded me of Jersey. I didn’t have a chance to talk to the owner to find out if he was from the homeland. Not because it was busy, but because he owned the pizzeria next door and was getting ready to open it up. I was here with fellow Eliter and real-file friend, Noi D., for a quick breakfast before my flight. I went with the breakfast special; 2 eggs, hash browns, toast and sausage for $ 3.89. Noi went with the Sausage Burrito. My breakfast was good, but the hash browns were just a little too salty for me. I did like the rye toast and I’m also glad that I paired my breakfast with some OJ. I really liked the décor, very Jersey working-class, very up my alley. But I can’t give it any more stars until I try more from the menu. Ayyyyyy…

It sure was a delight to find a place so accomodating to kill time before a flight early in the am. I had the honor of taking Nino R. to LAX on the 3rd of July. Honor because he’s the person who introduced me to Unilocal. And probably had the Midas touch of helping me become Elite. Anyway, back to the review… We had some time to kill before his flight and I suggest, «let’s get on the handy-dandy… Unilocal app!» in my Donovan Patton(Blues Clues) voice. We arrive here and I can only think of MIBII(Men in Black)… The Pizza diner scene, agent K trying to find his memory back, looking for the key and Rosario Dawson(swoons)… I ordered a Breakfast sausage burrito and I rate it a 3.5 star. Good food, good price… I’m was waiting for agent K to walk in and blast his head off so I can watch it re-grow…

Sometimes a good chili burger really hits the spot. The sweet aroma of the chili, and the way that it smothers and warms the hamburger bun. Mmm… now that’s what I call a good chili burger. Too bad the above description is a figment of my imagination here. Oh, don’t get me wrong, the chili burger here is alright. It just isn’t what I call a good chili burger. It’s definitely edible, but man, I was really hoping that the chili burger would hit the spot here. The fries were big, but there was too much skin on them. It was almost like eating a baked potato wedge. Sure, some people like these kind of fries, so I’m not knocking them. It’s just that I prefer my fries to taste like fries, and not potatoes. I notice that a lot of local blue collar workers come here to eat. Which is cool, since I’m sure they develop a hearty appetite and can satisfy their hunger here. Overall, a decent place to grab some burgers. It fills you up when you are hungry after working long and hard.

I’ve given up in life in finding 2 things — 1) finding a filet o’ fish better than Mcdonald’s and 2) finding a chili burger better than Tommy’s. I learned my lesson through the filet o’ fish debacle(I ate at tons of different places in trying to find that 1 fish sandwich that would beat Mcdonald’s and wasted time and money on a fruitless endeavor) that sometimes when you find a good thing, it’s simply best to realize it and accept it than chasing after something that might be better and most likely never finding anything better, ya know? So After my 3rd chili cheese burger place I’ve given up on finding a place that beats Tommy’s. This place was ok, but everything, EVERYTHING was a poor man’s version of Tommy’s — everything from the semi-wannabe thick tomato in the sandwich to the chili and the fries were ok… but simply ok. Anyway, if I ever want a chili cheese burger fix, I’m sticking with Tommy’s.

Excellent burgers. Really, really good. And a very good price. The main reason I like Snax is because they have a program where unemployed people get one free meal per week! Such a generous, community-minded program! So I get food there regularly, to sort of support their morality! Plus, good food, good price, why not! DEFINITELY not a fancy place. I like it.
