Italian kitchen is my most favorite restaurant. The manicotti is fabulous and the cuisine is like no other in town. The cheddar pizza is a family favorite. My family has come here since I was a child. Great food and amazing atmosphere.

Every time someone finds out you haven’t been to one of El Paso’s landmark restaurants they look down on you. I was in the mood for pasta and my friend told me the Italian Kitchen was pretty amazing. Yes it was. The Italian plate was a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. I really like that this place doesn’t serve their pasta in water like most other places. I also asked for my plate baked so they finish it off in the oven and add mountains of cheese on top. The bread is something you could eat the whole time you’re sitting there. Physically the place looks really worn down and old. There are a lot of little details that need attention like the lamps and candle holders that have dust all over them. A lot of the fixtures just need a good cleaning. It looks really traditional but also very outdated. The weirdest part was when they told us we could leave through the back which is where the parking lot is and as you leave you pass through the kitchen. Really odd to pass by the kitchen while the cooks are making food. The food is definitely 5 stars but for a better experience i would say they need to pay attention to the décor and update the place a little.

Of the four different dishes received at our table, none was even appetizing. My eggplant parmigiana contained unusually thin slices of eggplant making them very over baked cooking out their flavor. It didn’t matter anyway, since the eggplant was then covered in way too much cheap spaghetti sauce over which was added too much of a low-grade mozzarella cheese. It looked like a cheeze pie… and tasted like some Chef Boyrdee stuff out of a can. This restaurant is small with tight seating. There is a lot of hustle & bustle going on, making normal conversation volume impossible. I cannot go above 2 stars for any of our served meal or the ambiance.

Traditional five points neighborhood spot, Good food and atmosphere. Amicable staff, but don’t expect speedy service. They are in no hurry, but it seems neither are the regulars who frequent the joint. Comfortable and authentic Italian flavor.

I was introduced to this place about 10 years ago. Since then the people i have recommended this place to have all left with the same impression, this place is simply amazing. Entering through the kitchen is my favorite part of coming here, it reminds me of visiting a friends house for dinner and having to come in through the diner due to their music being so loud they never heard the front door. This place is as chill as they come, the décor makes you feel like you are in a small Italian home. The lighting in the evening although light is still enough to read the menus and helps enjoy an intimate conversation. For lunch the portions here are the biggest I’ve ever found. The calamari is the best one I’ve had here in El Paso. One of their dishes must he ordered in advanced due to the cooking time… but trust me those 45 min will seem like nothing when you try it, simply divine. Their sauce is something i could eat by itself… I’m already getting hungry again as i write this. I implore you, if you are looking for Italian food try this place out and out those large chains in the back burner… The Italian Kitchen won’t disappoint you. Godere!

Love the pizza. Thin crusted, extremely flavorful toppings. The anti pasta salad with the house dressing is perfect compliment to the pizza. Friend loves the lasagne. Large portion size on the plates . The restraunt is in an old home so maneuvering around the tables can be a bit tricky, but adds to the charm. Lots of parking in the rear, where you can enter through the kitchen . Fair prices, friendly staff.

Really rustic, homey feel! Literally was someone’s home formerly! Portions were huge, cost was extremely affordable! I was shocked by how delicious the meatballs were, as well as their meat sauce. I did find the«garlic» toast, while mm mm good was much more butter(which I love) and less garlic.

This place is a tradition for our family. I have been going to this location for 33 years, I’m only 33. For people who want Italian, not a Olive Garden meal, this is your place. It’s been open for years. A great little quaint location. Love everything about the place. From the old home look, to the waitresses, to the salad, to the meal, and the spumoni. The only thing El Pasoish to this place is the Italian bread… But it’s soooo yummy!!! This place to me tastes much different then the new location. I may be biased but you can never go wrong with this location. Love this place!!!

Mmmm got here by sheer luck! We had intentions to go to the Garden for sushi but there was a 45 minute wait. Since baby AJ would have gone crazy we went to the Italian Kitchen instead. Nice place for dinner the waitress was fast and on the ball. Lots of variety on the menu. For $ 5 extra u can add soup, salad and desert to the meal. We shared that. I made a mistake and ordered the italian plate which was good but nothing like Jon’s alfredo… amazing. By far the best alfredo I have ever had. The portion size was great lots and lots of food. We both took home lunch for the next day. Overall a great place especially on a date!

This is another homey old school Italian place in the same vein as Cappetto’s and Sorrento’s. And quite literally it was homey… it is in an old converted home. You won’t be blown away, but you will leave full and satisfied. Beer was a little pricey, but service was very good.

Wonderful Italian delights served fresh daily. Soups are delicious and entrees fantastic! Not pricey either, a must try!
