Good atmosphere, Food Not bad but not excellent, fries should be better, but whatever, will give a new chance

Delicious food! Good portions. Downside? The snooty wait staff that thinks they are better than you. I’ve had some nice servers, but more often than not, everyone from the hostesses to the bartenders look at you like they’re annoyed and speak to you with attitude.

Good is usually good but the service each time I’ve gone us terrible. I usually wait more than 39 minutes to get my food.

Ambiance is fun with a DJ, décor and patio are great. Service is slow and awful. If you aren’t ordering drinks then be prepared to wait longer for everything. Even water. Food was subpar. Nothing for children, overdone burnt $ 12 hamburger was disgusting. My chicken was average, husbands breakfast burrito was just like anywhere else. IF we ever come back we will stick to breakfast. Again, nothing child friendly down to the glasses. I’m glad we had a cup in our car for our little ones. We dine out a LOT with them and have never had an issue. BUT at the end as we are paying the waiter comes out with a paper coffee cup… where was that when I asked for a cup with a lid or even just a smaller cup than the huge glass one. Baffles me. Just an average place. One star is for the fun décor and ambiance.

We drove in from San Antonio last night and spotted this gem on Unilocal.I’m glad we made the stop because the food was what we needed after 8 hours in the car. I had the Ancient Grains Bowl which was hearty and delightful in the medley of flavors presented. The avocado was great with the mushroom and grain combo, plus some cucumbers on the outskirts of the grain mound. The entrée was paired with a tomato balsamic type of clumpy sauce(good mild flavor, but not absolutely necessary to have with the dish). My other half had the chicken n waffle paired with two sides of apple, kale nut slaw and green chili mac and cheese. He loved it, plus I tasted the sides and they were great too. Plus the green chili maple-like sauce was amazing and paired well with the meal. I noticed people complaining about the service, but luckily we were taken care of just fine. We’re here again, but for breakfast before we continue our trip out to AZ. Can’t wait!

Went here with friends for the ½ off burger special on Tuesdays. Ordered the 808 burger with a veggie patty as a substitute. They took long to deliver, and another waitress(that wasn’t the waiter that was in charge of our table) switched plates when they served me and a friend. I didn’t say anything which I admit was my fault(didn’t know my friend got my order) because I was anxious to have to wait again so they could get my order right. The burger was borderline cold(which made me think they have the burgers laying out so they could be assembled quickly) and honestly the fries were the best thing out of my plate. If it weren’t for the fact that I paid half the full amount, I would of given this place two stars. Nice environment for a restaurant(was seated outside) but honestly I wouldn’t come here if given the choice again. Before I forget, the waiter was very nice and attentive to us. He made sure our drinks were filled and didn’t forget our orders. Extra points for him.

This used to be my favorite restaurant in El paso. The food is amazing! The service is a hit or miss. The last 3 times I’ve called in for takeout I get put on hold and forgotten about, I never even get to put in my order. Took my hubby and family out on a Sunday to celebrate a birthday and they were out of pancakes and waffles and mimosas! During brunch! Our food took forever and they ended up giving us our entire party’s meal for free. I’m glad they took care of all the issues but that wasn’t the first or last time we had a bad experience. Lately they are always out of something. After a while we miss it and come back and get reminded of why we haven’t been back in so long.

THISREVIEWISFORSERVICEONLY, NOTFOOD. FOODISCONSISTENTLYEXCELLENT. I’ve eaten at this location many times and the food is always delicious. Sometimes I’ve sat inside and service has been fine, and sometimes I’ve eaten outside on the back patio with mixed results. Tonight’s experience was the worst yet. * Waited 15 minutes after being seated for our server to come to our table. Doesn’t say hi, smile, introduce herself, just asks what we want to drink. We tell her that we’re ready to order, so she takes our order and walks off. * I didn’t like my main dish, so I set it aside waiting for her to return so that I could send it back while I ate my sides. Another 15 minutes go by and we’re pretty much finished eating before she returns to check on us and ask if everything is ok. I tell her«no «and I’d like to send this back. So she questions me on why I didn’t like it and why I want to sent it back. I tell her I didn’t like it and we ask to speak with her manager. *Manager comes out, we tell him about the extensive waits and server’s attitude, and he doesn’t really do anything or even apologize, just nods and agrees in a placating way. * Wait and wait and wait for the check. We consider leaving some cash on the table and walking out. Server comes back and asks if we’re ready for the check. Then she brings that quickly. We put cash in the check holder and wait for our change. She brings back our change, but only the dollar bills, not the coins. WTF? * We take the bill up to the hostess and ask to speak with the manager, where of course the server is kicking it with her pals at the bar area. We tell the manager that she shorted us our change, and he asks her to get us the rest of our change. So, rolling her eyes she asks the bartender for the coins, hands them to us and says, «We round up here.» ROUNDUP?! Without asking or even notifying customers? I’m pretty sure that is actually called STEALING. I would really appreciate if Crave management would confirm if this is a standard business practice for their restaurants across El Paso.

Wow! I dined here twice while on a 2 night travel to El Paso. Highly recommend you dine here if in the area. They have something for everyone. Beautiful hamburgers my dinner guest had one. Tons of healthy menu choices. I had the ancient grain salad and added ahi tuna. Absolutely wonderful. The second time I was there I had the turkey chili and kale slaw. I would order all of these again. Service was as great as the food!

I’ve eaten at both of the other locations and been quite happy but won’t come back to this one. I ordered soup and salad and my husband got a sandwich and side. We expected everything to come out together but instead, I was finished with the soup and he was almost finished with his sandwich by the time the salad and side came out.

Crave is fine. In fact, I have found that the pros and cons balance this restaurant out such that it is literally neither good nor bad. The Rundown: 1) Crave has delicious food. Really, try anything on the menu, and you won’t be disappointed. If you eat anything and everything, like me, you will always have a good meal here, which is good because… 2) They WILL get your order wrong. It’s honestly gotten to the point that its not even a surprise anymore. If you order an omelet with cheese, you’ll get it without. Order one without it, and suddenly you can have all the cheese you want! Or rather… didn’t want… oh well. But at least… 3) The ambiance is really cool and trendy, and the waiters and staff are all really friendly. They will chat with you and keep you entertained, which is great since… 4) The wait times are INSANE, they do not take reservations, and the service at the tables, once you are finally seated, is dog slow. I’ve oftentimes been left looking around the room, wondering if anyone actually works here, or if a bunch of off-duty Crave servers are hanging around after their shift ended! This place is alright if you’re in an extremely laid-back, «I’m-totally-ok-with-this-brunch-taking-three-hours» kind of mood, and don’t really care too much what entrée actually ends up in front of you, but if you’re at all in a rush, or want something specific, pick another restaurant. P. S. Also a detractor: good freaking luck parking here. 90% of the time, the people I go with have to park over in the Village Inn parking lot next door, ignore the«Village Inn Parking Only– You Will Be Towed» signs, and just cross their fingers that they get through brunch without a tow truck showing up for their car!

The food here was delicious, and the portions were huge, but the service was pretty slow. We were brought here by a local, and came for dinner.(It would probably make a great breakfast too.) I had the chicken and waffles. Two huge chicken breasts on top of a big waffle. It was good fried chicken. Not very juicy, but good, and not greasy at all. And of course the waffle is good too. With syrup together, yum. That would be plenty of food, but it comes with two sides. The sweet potato waffle fries were amazing. They come with a marshmallow sauce to dip in. On the other hand, the green chili mac and cheese came highly recommended, but was entirely uninspiring. It was fine for non-kiddy mac and cheese, but nothing special. My friend had fish tacos, which he said were great too. Four grown men all left food on our plates, because the portions were large. It was a great meal all around, but the food took a very long time to come out. I wouldn’t go here if in a hurry.

3.5 stars… In El Paso again for work and I was looking for something new for lunch, and j found it! To complicate matters I don’t eat meat on Mondays(meatless Monday… try it, you will like it!!) so I was looking for a joint with a varied menu that could accommodate my needs. I started out with the tomato basil soup, and enjoyed it. It was full of tomato flavor and a ribbon of basil pesto on top sealed the deal. I also orders the roasted veggie sandwich. It was also very good, and consisted of s full garden of colors. My only complaint was that the asparagus was a bit woody as the stalks were a bit too fat. I asked for some aoli and it complemented it well. I will have to try this place on s less restrictive diet day because everything looked good! Atmosphere is warehouse rustic and prices were barely above expected. This joint makes the list…

Crave will definitely leave you craving for some more! I had the veggie sandwich and sweet potato waffle fries. The veggie sandwich was delicious. The roasted veggies were not over cooked and were still crisp. Also, they did not skimp on the goat cheese. :) The waffle fries were a show stopper. The marshmallow sauce was so delicious I was eating the leftovers with a spoon. Next time I go I want to try the chicken and waffles.

I can’t believe that I am just now leaving a review for Crave. Well perhaps this location either way here goes! Crave kitchen and bar is a solid five stars why you ask? To start the prices yes this trendy spot is affordable I think anyway and you can be a vegan and eat here. It’s usually such a challenge to find fair pricing for somewhere that caters to those try and watch what they eat. This place has it all figured out. My favorite is the steak and potatoes burritos with salsa and sour cream. I am pretty basic when I go but they have such a variety when it comes to the break fast menu. The service is always nice when I go as well.

To the point: Why are there a thousand ugly boxes stacked above an ugly counter in the middle of the dining area? Why for gods sake in ELPASO was my turkey and green chile scramble flavorless and spiceless– even when I doused it in salsa? Gimme a little heat and a little flavor. Cut into my Nutella stuffed french toast with sooooo much excitement– only to find a light glaze of Nutella(huge sadness). Also– french toast needs to be gooey on the inside and crisp on the outside– mine had a thick layer of egg cooked on the outside which was essentially inedible, and the bread was chewy and uncooked. Why did I have to steal napkins/utensils from the table next to me? Also– why is honey for my tea $.50? That seems excessive. That bacon was amazing– ughh except sadly I had a burnt piece that I couldn’t even eat. Mostly just get rid of all those boxes– this is not a warehouse– buy some cupboard doors or something. The waitstaff can’t even reach those boxes so don’t tell me they are there for«convenience»

Crave is a must try. At least once. You won’t regret it! It does get packed, even more so on the weekend. Reservations are only taken on the weekdays, NO weekend reservations since it gets super busy and there’s always a wait. Their teas, such as the coconut or pineapple, is so good. They offer wine, beer, margaritas. Love love love it. I mostly get their sandwiches. Big portions, so it fills you up! Okay, so my all time favorite item which that I strongly recommend is their sweet potato waffle fries WITH marshmallow sauce. Yes ask for their marshmallow sauce. Sweet goodness on the side! Other than that décor is modern, classy, and simple. Outside seating is all right but at night is pretty too. Btw, they have live music every Wednesday night. Enjoy!

So I always here everyone rave about Crave. Despite three locations here in the EPT, I’ve just a never made the journey… Until today. We walk in at 2pm and the place was packed. Normally I’d be all like ehhh, let’s go somewhere else. But today, I almost appreciated how full it was, because that must mean I was in the right spot. Indeed I was. Took about 20 minutes to get out table, which was fine because they had a DJ spinning some straight up deep house /chill step /EDM… So I was groovin to the melodic tones and beat drops while I scout the photos of entrees on Unilocal. Get to our table and waitress brings us our menus and grabs us some waters, garnished with oranges. Nice touch. The menu was the«brunch menu», and while small, it didn’t disappoint. It had a perfect mix of breakfast foods and lunch foods. And the entire back side was drinks that can be ordered from the full bar on site. My wife ordered the«Crave Burger», which comes cooked to order, with cheese, red onions and BBQ sauce. Side of sweet potato waffle fries. She loved it. It was a very large burger… She didn’t(couldn’t) finish her plate. I ordered the Belgian Waffles and Fried Chicken. Full order. This thing was a monster! Full size Belgian waffle with syrup and two of the BIGGEST boneless chicken breast, battered and deep fried, that I’ve ever seen. Check the photos. My meal also came with not one, but TWO sides. So I copped some sweet potato waffle cut fries and their famous Mac-n-cheese. DAMNSON. I’m not even kidding… I don’t think I’ll eat until tomorrow. Now normally(as seen in my reviews), I’ll try appetizers and desserts. Both of which this place offers. However, I could enjoy neither of them on this day. Not because of price. Not because of quality or availability. Simply because, I was so f***ing full, that I couldn’t dare to eat another bite. WOW dude. And the taste was on point. The location is on the smaller side, but very modern and decorated just right. Trendy as fuhhh. They have outside seating available. Two TVs over the bar playing sports. Not huge like a sports bar, but big enough so that you can see them from just about everywhere you sit inside. As I mentioned before, they were playing some dope tracks. If yall know me, then you know I listen to a new episode of Tiësto’s Club Life every single day… So these tunes were right up my alley. It’s definitely worth a try. The staff was all young, friendly, and seemingly good at their jobs. I mean it was super busy and the Girls there all handled every table perfectly. The cooks are obviously on point too. No apps, no zerts, but a protruding gut symbolizing a full tummy for two, +15% tip… And we still walked out under $ 40. Can’t beat that dude. First time here… Will NOT be the last. Das It Mayne

If you’re in the mood for a good breakfast burrito and pancakes for breakfast, then I suggest you give Crave in the ELP a try. I must warn you that this place gets busy quick and service is really slow. I arrived right before the madness started and got a seat right away. It took about 10 minutes before anyone took my order and another 20+ minutes for me to get my food. And yes, I timed it. Slow service usually annoys me, but I came prepared. I brought with me a protein shake, some rice cakes, and peanut butter to keep me satisfied while I waited for my real food. Food finally arrives and I’m stoked. For $ 7, I got a huge steak & egg breakfast burrito and a short stack of their pancakes. I’m spoiled in Vegas and in California with some premier stacks, but I have to tell ya’…Crave has a mean stack that was both fluffy and tasty. My pancakes were so good that I didn’t put anything on it. The steak and egg burrito is for real. It’s massive and packed with a lot of steak. There’s so much more on the menu, but only one me. The next time I’m in town with time to spare, I’m sure I will give Crave Kitchen another shot. I look forward to their lunch and dinner menu. Crave Kitchen in El Paso is an easy 4 stars in regards to their food. It’s just too bad it takes forever to get your food. PS: Don’t confuse this Crave Kitchen & Bar with Crave American Kitchen & Sushi. It’s a different restaurant.
