This place was alright compared to other the Banh Mi Che Cali in Rosemead and Monterey Park, California. The reason why I gave this place 3 stars is mostly because of the service. When we got there, no one greeted us and most tables were not cleaned so we had to sit in the available spots. The tables could’ve been cleaned because some workers were standing around and waiting at the cash register. Anyways, the food took a LONG time to come out, about a good 15 minutes just for a bowl of Bun Bo Hue which is pretty cheap for a decent meal. During the whole time here, the workers still didn’t clean the tables up, which was surprising to me! All in all, I recommend this place for the boba, buy 1 get 1 free, but not for the service.

1st star for great food. 2nd for cleanliness. but today was not great at all. i ordered a crispy mi xao and spring rolls. the togo plate was melted into my crispy noodles… no one wants to eat melted plastic, for both the noodles and soup. not only that they gave me my order, knowing i was waiting for spring rolls and decided to make a fool out of me making me wait with 2 kids and not letting me know«hey the spring rolls are also in the bag» but had me standing around… while they glance and laugh wondering why i’m still here, jerks. thanks for all but i’m never returning.

Food: DISGUSTING. Terrifyingly disgusting. The noodles of the phở were either old or over cooked because the broth of the soup began to get thick as a result of the noodles dissolving. The chicken tasted old and the overall look of it reminds one of baby diarrhea. Ultimately inedible and I will not be returning. Cleanliness: It did not look like the employees took much pride in making the place look clean and it was not a particularly inviting environment to eat. I was skeptical of this place and initially did not want to eat there, but some friends wanted to try it. After trying the food I realized I should probably stick to my intuition from now on. Gross.

Soup tasted water-down today. The noodles were a bit powdery aftertaste, tasted unfresh. Meat was not as tender, was a bit hard. I’ve been here a few times leaving with good impression about the food, but it totally missed the spot today… :/what happened?

Du ma. BMC is becoming a fast food chain. Cheap eats good prices. Egg roll is a must. The bun mi is a hit or miss as sometimes the bread is hard and stale. The Du ma Phở GA is cheap.

My mom and I just had dinner went to this place last October when we were down in Southern California for a week long vacation and this was the closest place to the motel that the three of us were staying(my parents and me). The Phở here was absolutely excellent. It was also very reasonable and very cheap. $ 5.95 for Phở. However, the Chicken Phở was half price. In other words, it was $ 2.98. Yes, I am not kidding! It just happens that I went with the Chicken Phở. My mom went with the Beef Phở. It tasted just as good as the best Phở restaurant back in my neck of the woods. Lots of beef and chicken. For me, I have not had that much chicken ever. I mean not in a very long while. My mom ordered another Phở for my dad, whio was staying back at the nearby motel and couldn’t join us as he had just hurt himself during the vacation. Nothing major. Just a minor foot issue. It turns out that they are related to Banh Mi Cali Che, which has many locations. I will definitely visit either this or anyone of their other locations, if my mother and I find ourselves in the L.A. area.

The is food is good. Well what I tried which was the sample platter, some noodles with beef n broccoli and a meat loaf sandwich. I just wish that the cashier was more helpful as to letting you know what the food comes with. The sandwich comes with puckeled carrots, cilantro and jalapeños and I didn’t want all that in it. But the meat was very tasty. I just had to manually remove what I didn’t want. Prices are ok. Will come back!

Great place for some cheap chicken phở. This location has the phở for 50% off on a daily basis. The amount you receive is also very generous. My boyfriend and I ordered our own bowl and the total came out to $ 6.53. What a steal! You order at the counter and they give you a number to put at your table to bring the food to you. Been here a few times in the past month and it’s great for your wallet as well! The food is pretty tasty, just like your typical phở and half the price, which is the best part. :) they have condiments at every table if you like to make your dish spicy. I always add some lemon, hoisin sauce and sriracha to complete my dish. I usually could never finish the entire thing also and I could eat. It’s located in the corner of Valley and Mountain view, right in front of Great China Buffet. The service is pretty decent as well. They aren’t overly friendly, but not rude. All in all, come here if you want some cheap, tasty, filling phở!

New Phở and Banh Mi spot in El Monte. BMC is exactly like Banh Mi Che Cali, if not the same company. Service was quick. Large menu. Ton of Buy 2, Get 1 Free deals, drinks and food. Phở Ga — $ 2.98 — Tasty chicken broth. Meat was tender. And WTF for 3 bucks, such a crazy amazing deal! Only reason they got a 4 instead of a 3. Dac Biet Sandwich — $ 3.25 — Had better deli meat at other places. Thit Nuong Sandwich — $ 3.25 — Pork was decent, good sweetness. Bo Nuong Sandwich — $ 3.25 — Beef was good and grilled well. Café Sua Da — $ 3 — Not good. Did not balance the sweet with the coffee, super sweet. Baguette — $ 1 — Huge loaf, as good as all the others.

Got this place for lunch, First off this place is super affordable and easy on the pocket! I got couple French bread sandwiches, the bread was extremely soft and home made. Very good. I enjoyed the meatball one and the bbq pork one. Also got a order of egg rolls as well which are only 60 cents each I believe. My co workers got the number 11 fried rice which they let me taste, it was very flavorful. The gentlemen at the cash register was very kind, service is great I will be coming back !!

3.5 stars! Who knew BMC was actually Banh Mi Che Cali?! I totally would not have stopped in if I wasn’t familiar with the restaurant. If you’ve been to other Banh Mi Che Cali(I’ve been to Alhambra and MPK), this particular one has fewer options, but overall, you should still be able to get your fix of banh mi, milk tea, and phở if your stomach desires. Love the diversity food attracts since I was actually one of the only Asians in the restaurant after 9PM. Will come back again!

Buy one drink and get one free. Buy 2 banh mi sandwiches and get 1 free. Literally 10.40 for 2 drinks and 3 sandwiches? What a deal!!! They also have the sandwich and drink combo for 5.95. Basically, the prices are very very reasonable! I will definitely be back to try the phở and some other items on the menu. The place is bigger than you’d expect it to be and you pay first and grab a number. The actually sandwiches were okay, comparable to Lee’s. I’d recommend the bbq pork and bbq chicken. The beef was a little dry for my taste. Overall, I would’ve preferred some more«stuffing» for a better ratio with he bread. The Thai tea was a little sweet. I love that they don’t overload half the drink with ice. Service was eh but this place is seriously worth the budget!

Not a bad place for viet traditional food after-all. Good price too. I would say the price is good for middle class. At least is the fast serving vietnamese food in town. I also want to add one quick thing here is that it is not cash only. Thanks god. I have been waiting for them to do it for the other branches.

I actually like this place more than Banh Mi Che Cali on Peck Road. This place is bigger, cleaner, and a lot more variety. Parking is kinda tight since they share it with Valle Market and other stores. Though they have the following promos that I do like: Phở Ga is 50% and so I bought two phở ga(s) and it only cost me a total of $ 5.96, score!!!(So about $ 3 a bowl — not too shabby!!!). The chicken chunks are huge and tender and they put it in a separate container along with the noodles, onions, cilantro and their ginger/fish sauce for dipping. Their broth is hearty, not overly salty and generous. My mom split on phở ga and I’ll eat the other one tomorrow, yay!!! I also got the #20 appetizer sampler that comes with two eggrolls, 3 shrimp eggrolls and two flour spring rolls with shrimp and nem neoung(charboiled pork) with a side of raising salad and their same ginger/fish sauce for dipping. The dipping sauce was okay, but way too much ginger overpowering. The salad was okay. As for the rolls — the eggrolls were yummy with a good amount of meat filling and the shrimp rolls were pretty good, though the shrimps were hella small. The spring rolls with shrimp and nem neoung were also good. I like this dish, you get to try a lil bit of everything, and you’ll know what you like next time. This dish took a lot longer to prepare and so be prepared to wait for a while. They also have drinks buy one, get free, yay! I got a boba milk tea and pudding milk tea for a total of $ 3.01. The milk teas are delicious and not overly sweet. The bobas are small and generous, but a bit chewy, but do get softer when you let it sit in the tea a bit longer. The pudding is creamy and delicious since it’s their custard pudding they use from their dessert section. Overall meal with drinks costs 16.01. I was full, stuffed and happy :) I definitely recommend this place when you’re craving Vietnamese fast food. Just don’t call them Banh Mi Che CALI, otherwise, they’ll give you a dirty look, lol! I didn’t do it, but try it if you dare bwahaha!!!
