I have been coming here for years just went to get eyebrow wax they were doing 1 set of nails and the other lady was just on her phone they said they didn’t have time, this has never happened but will never go back.

Went here in Friday during my lunch to get a mani and pedi for my daughter’s birthday. Not even 24hrs went by and my mani was chipping everywhere! If course being my daughter’s birthday and holiday weekend I couldn’t go back. So I went on Tuesday morning and was told no we can’t give a refund because it’s been 5 days… when it actually hasn’t. They said they could redo my nails for me but I said no due to this happening again. They told me that if it’s a regular mani they don’t last long… I’ve NEVER had a mani not last me at least a week! This is just horrible. Needless to say I will not go back even though they are convenient. And I will make sure co workers do not go there!

If I could, I would have given this place 0 stars. I had the most terrible service here, and I will never be going back! I WARN EVERYBODY THAT WANTS TO DO THEIR HAIR, please do not come to this place. I came in because some of my hair was partially lightened, and I wanted to lighten it up to dark ash blonde. Sounds like not a big deal, right? WRONG. I was directed to Steve, who I was told a qualified «cosmetologist» to do my hair. He told me he would charge me $ 130 to lighten, color, and cut my hair. Needless to say after spending almost 3 hours in the salon, my hair was way lighter in the roots, orange and brassy and patchy, also… he never cut my hair. After questioning him if he was going to tone down my brassiness, he replied «The brassiness will fade.» Now, correct me if I’m wrong, but wouldn’t my brassiness get worse with washes and time? I was very unhappy with my hair and adamantly refused to pay the $ 130.He was very hesitant to lower the payment because he had explained that «he worked very hard.“It did not matter if he worked 3 hours or 3 days on my hair, the final result was hideous. So I had to. go school and work with my hair looking horrible! It wss embarassing, quite frankly! I went back the following day because I needed my hair fixed, badly. A female cosmetologist agreed to «do something about my hair» because the next day I demanded the full amount I paid. Well when I went back to get my hair «fixed», she just threw a toner on it, with minimal change. She was more concerned with a client waiting for her nails to get done. In conclusion, Steve should have offered to re-​do my hair as any professional would do, not do a horrible job to get his money. The second cosmetologist tried to help but was also concerned with clients, who were paying. Please ladies and gentleman, do not come to this establishment, they are unprofessional and definitely uneducated when it comes to cosmetology. Side note: I went to another place that actually made hair look how it should have.

I’ve been getting my acrylic nails done by Ann for many years now and I followed her to this salon, which she manages. I find that she really listens to what her customers want and goes the extra mile to get it right for them. Over the years, I have had others in the salon do my nails or a pedicure and I have been happy with the results. Walk-​ins are usually no problem, parking is easy, and then you can pop into Target or Starbucks next door on the same trip. Definitely a hidden gem!

I only go for waxing and I’m very happy with their service. I usually have the guy (Steve, I think) do the wax. He does a good job and doesn’t wax my brows to nothing. 20 bucks for brow, lip and tip. Always a walk-​in and never have to wait more than 5 minutes. Best $ 20 bucks I spend every 6 – 8 weeks.

They did a great job! I got my nails done here a few days ago and I was in a rush, and they still managed to to a wonderful job! They are also very reasonably priced, my gel manicure was only $ 25 +tip, I will definitely come back here next time I get my nails done and I highly recommend getting yours done here as well! My friend went with me and got acrylic, which turned out very good as well.

Went here for 8 years then moved away for 3 years. Just moved back and when I walked in everyone instantly remembered me. It was awesome. Quick and great nails. Good price too

I’ve been here before my first time was good, this last time I went I left mad! This is because I paid for a spa pedicure but they made me move to a regular chair so they could put my nail polish on my toes while finishing my manicure! If I pay to be in the spa chair I think I deserve to stay in the spa chair until they are done with the services I’m paying for, am I right? Or am I wrong? Second, most of the ladies there don’t know English and it’s really hard to communicate with them. The manager is very nice! She’s so sweet, she’s probably the only reason why I’ll keep coming back, but the next I go I will be letting her know about this!
One more thing! Kim Ann is the best manicurist there!!! I love her!

Meh. 1 star because I came in on a Saturday afternoon with two of my cousins for manicures and didn’t have to wait. Then again, that probably should have been a sign that I should have selected a different salon. Basic manicure was $ 10. Reasonable. Another ½ star. But the nail polish selection was minimal and disappointing. The chairs were super uncomfortable. My manicure experience felt rushed and was more painful than relaxing. My cuticles were violated and defiled. ½ more star though because my nails still looked good ½ week later. But that’s it… no more stars for you, Designer Hair & Nails!

I’ve followed my hair dresser here to this salon. It’s very clean, quiet, nice. I highly recommend going in to see Arleen! She works magic on my hair! I’ve been going to her for many years. She’s the best! Great prices! Good location!

Today at 5:37 pm I called the nail salon and asked them what their hours were. The lady said that they were open until 7:00 pm. I asked her if they were able to take a walk-​in and she replied yes. She asked me for a name and told me to be there at 6:30 pm. The lady even asked me what I had planned to get done, to which I replied a gel manicure. As instructed I showed up at 6:30 promptly and they ladies were closing up shop. I told them that I was told to come at this time and that there was an appointment. The appointment was not honored and I was told to come back tomorrow. I will not be returning.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with Cindy twice, now. Pedicure and no-​polish manicure. I love not getting hassled over my choice of short nails with no fingernail polish. I have lovely polished toes, buffed fingernails, and good customer service.

I moved to the East County and started reading reviews when it was time to find a new nail salon. I’m glad I tried this place. They are never too busy to fit me in. They do a great job. Everyone is friendly. And the prices are very reasonable. This is going to be my go-​to place for mani/pedi’s.

I can only give the waxing techs 4 stars because I’ve never tried any other service. I stumbled into this little hole in the wall salon looking for a quick eye brow wax one day. They are really good and take their time. My eyebrows are out of control and there is nothing I can do to tame them. These guys shape them like nobody else ever could. People look at my crazy when I recommend this place to them but its worth a shot and $ 9 to see what I’m talking about.

Terrible service and quality of work. Smeared the tip color right up my nail and tried to say it was my nail bed. Nail beds do not sparkle. Posted a picture so you can see. 29 BUCKS!

The picky OCD person that I am actually found Home for my Nails! Ann is my go too for my nails. She listens and cares about how you feel the look of your nails. I know I have written reviews about other nails places or nail techs but this place has them all beat! I can not review the pedicures or other services as of yet. Who would have thought a Hair & Nail Place in a strip mall of Target would actually have a hidden gem.
Not many places get 5 stars from me anymore… I have to say this place earned everyone. Tips cash only!

I have been here in and off for years. The prices are reasonable and they do a great job on brows.
My sister-​in-​law had gel mani. The nail equipment was not clean. The nail tech did not open clean tools it looks like she used it for the last person. The selection of gel was ok.
Other than that I will be coming back for brows, maybe not for nails.

I’ve been going to this place on and off for the last 11 years. There are some great stylists and nail techs here. They are always working on improving and for the price you can’t beat the quality and service. You can tell they really care here. When I don’t have time to make an appointment somewhere else this is a great place for a walk-​in service that you can trust.

My daughters and I went here because our usual place was closed on Labor Day. Two of us got the shalack (sp?) treatment. Both of us had chipping within two days, and I have had half my nails break. I never had this problem at my regular salon.

ive been coming to this salon for many many years now, as a matter of fact ive been coming since high school and now iam married with two kids. I really reccomend this place, they have the best nail technicians and stylist here. I also love coming here bc its a full service salon. I can get waxing, facials, nails, pedi and my hair cut and color. Check them out and they are really CLEAN and thats always a good thing.
