T.M., you should check their website. The clinic has moved to new, larger space at 133 West Main street a few blocks away and is providing excellent service to many more patients. All service have greatly improved since your last visit.

I started seeing Dr. David Kaufer in September of ’08. Wait times in the lobby have always been horrible but appointments were readily available. Now appointments are a month wait and the lobby time is even worse. Dr. Kaufer was always pretty understanding and helpful with the exception of referrals which can take any where up to a year! In a couple of instances the referral was never documented and just forgotten about. After about a year of horrible treatment I decided to switch providers. When I did this I requested a full copy of all medical records as I have been running into many problems getting pain meds(some kind) for my major back issues which included a trip to the e.r. because it got so bad. 2 pages into a 26 page record I found several fraudulent(inaccurate/fake/untrue/false/fictitious) statements regarding meds and my use of them. During one(just one) of my appointments, after several years of «treatment» with Dr. K I was given a drug test. This had never been done before and the behavior by a couple of the assistants that are usually very friendly with me was much more distant than in the past. Of course I passed(I have no idea what the results showed but I know I am clean) but when I asked one of them why I was being given a drug test they claimed it was«common practice for every visit». 1⁄26 is not«common for every visit». This struck me as overly strange especially with the way the assistants were communicating with me in a very different fashion than they used to. I don’t know what the hell is goin on and why these claims are being entered into my record! It just reminds me of the corruption that is rampant in our country and I believe it has something to do with my claim for disability. Dr. K often told me that the Soma he was prescribing can be very addictive regardless of the fact that he would normally prescribe 90 for 30 days and I would normally get 90 about every 3 months or so clearly showing there is no addiction issue. I don’t even like taking meds but they help a little. In one of the first pages of the record he states that I claimed to have been taking Soma«for years». He is the first and only Dr. to have EVER prescribed me with this drug and what I said was clearly taken out of context. BEVERYCAREFULWHATYOUSAYTO A DRBECAUSEITWILLBECHANGEDANDUSEDAGAINSTYOU!!! The bottom line is this putrid excuse for a Dr. HAS labeled me as a «drug seeker» with his lies. No idea why but that is the case.
