Another amazing meal! Where can you get one of the best steaks ever, soup or salad and another side of your choice for two and get out of restaurant for under $ 90 and that includes the tip? The steaks are simply the best piece of meat I’ve ever had. Cooked perfectly. I had the tomato soup and he had the salad. We both ordered the bake potato for a side. I am obsessed over their potatoes. The are huge and fluffy and make this potato lover very, very happy. The location is a house and you most likely will sit in what was the living room. It’s classy without being to over the top. The service was very good and we never had to ask for anything. They were extremely attentive. One suggestion — make reservations! It was packed and we were glad we had done so.

I was so extremely disappointed in my last experience at Andria’s and I will not be going back. First, I want to say how sad I am that I will not be returning because their food is fantastic and the waitresses are great. But the last time I was there I was seated with an 8pm reservation with a group of 5. We ordered several bottles of wine, appetizers, steaks all around, and dessert. From 10:05 — 10:27pm the owner of the restaurant came back to our table THREE times to tell us they were closing, specifically saying once«time to go.» We were all very surprised that we were trying to be shuffled out and asked the waitress what time they close. She said like 10 pm. I was already very upset about how incredibly rude the owner was, especially after ordering so much food and having about a half a glass of wine to finish when he came to tell us to leave. But then I looked online at their website which says they are open from«5pm-close» so I’m not sure where the 10 pm came from. I can see if we got there at 9:45 and ordered one appetizer maybe(still would have thought it to be rude) but that was not the case. I have never written a restaurant review but I just thought people should know about this and be prepared if they choose to go here.

I should start out saying the owner at Andria’s is rude and has no people skills whatsoever! The four of us were seated at a table on the other side of the wall from the bar side of the restaurant. This table was not in the main part of the restaurant and one person in our party wanted to order a burger from the bar menu while the other 3 of us were going to order $ 45 Delmonico steaks. We’re were told rudely that a burger could not be ordered outside the bar area. So the owner would rather lose a $ 200 tab by not serving a burger? Makes no sense to me. Needless to say we won’t spend our money there anymore. Ridiculous!

If I could give zero stars I would. 2.5 hours to eat dinner in the bar area when the whole place was empty and I had tuna which is served raw so they didn’t even have to cook it. Should have left after only receiving our salads after an hour. Food was just ok. Besides providing terrible service our waitress was extremely rude. Won’t be back. Go down the street to 1818 Chophouse.

A great place to take the grandparents! If there is an antonym to the words«hip» and«trendy», those words would describe this restaurant perfectly. This restaurant is where well-to-do blue hairs enjoy a decent steak. Seriously, 1985 called and they want their wallpaper, dark heavy oak chairs, paneling, and ugly china back. This would be an absolute perfect place to bring your grandparents to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary or 85th birthday. They will absolutely love it. The food was actually quite good, but, like the décor, the recipes were old fashioned — another reason Grandpa Herbert and Grandma Pearl will feel right at home. In fact, they will love it so much they will bring Uncle Henry and Aunt Mildred in for a second visit. They offered several USDA Prime steak selections along with various preparations including Bearnaise and a Garlic Wine Reduction, which is what I ordered. The French Onion soup was good, but they kept the cheese inside the crock instead of letting it drape over the sides. That was a bit of a disappointment because part of the experience of a first rate French Onion soup is getting to chip burned cheese off the edges and enjoy the crispiness. My filet mignon was excellent, but the sides were very basic steamed asparagus and broccoli with a bit of cheese sprinkled on top. There really wasn’t a «recipe» to the sides. I personally will not likely return because at 42 years old, I was still a full 30 years too young to be here. But seriously, take the grandparents! They’ll love it.

Andria’s is our go-to special occasion restaurant. The service is impeccable. All courses are well spaced and not rushed. Appetizers not to miss are the stuffed mushrooms and shrimp Alexander. Andria’s filet is hands down the best steak I’ve ever had! And I love the bleu cheese sauce with it. This is an Edwardsville gem.

Wonderful steaks! Main dining area is kinda awkward, feels more like a living room, but the lounge is more restaurant-y. Reasonably priced grass fed burgers too, delish!

Disappointed. We hadn’t been for a few years t; the food just wasn’t quite the same as in years past. My husband always orders the prime rib. It was good, but was missing that over-the-top edge that we love. In addition, the staff although all very friend were dressed sloppily and carelessly. The hostess had a black t shirt on and her breasts were spilling out. Our waitress was also wearing a sloppy knit shirt and what I believe were yoga pants. If I go to a restaurant and pay $ 50 per person to eat, I’d like the wait staff to look a bit more put together. The plus side is that the restaurant is cozy and quiet and we were able to enjoy conversation over dinner.

This is my boyfriends favorite place to eat hands down. It has also become one of my favorite date night spots. Wonderful feel of being in someone’s home while your served the best food in the area. I don’t think it’s gets much better than this from start to finish of a meal.

If you haven’t tried the lounge menu, you don’t really know Andria’s! So we’ve been in Edwardsville for over 20 years. We’ve been to Andria’s several times, mostly for special occasions… After all, this is not an inexpensive place, given that they are a steakhouse serving USDA prime angus beef, etc. But it’s always been a solid place to go for a great hunk of cow in the old«steakhouse style,» but unless you are flush with cash, not a place where you would go all the time at the drop of a hat. Tonight my wife and I were looking for something a little different. I started randomly looking at places in and around Edwardsville online. Saw the link for Andria’s, and out of curiosity clicked on it… it’s been a while since we were there. In the process of perusing their site, we saw that they have a separate Lounge Menu… It looked really interesting, and much more in line with a casual night out price-wise, so we decided to check it out. Honestly, I think Andria’s is missing the boat by not promoting this scaled down pub menu more than they are. My wife ordered the prime beef burger. Seriously, possibly the best burger we’ve ever tasted. Juicy, tender, perfectly cooked… I only wish that I had a big enough stomach to have eaten the rest of her’s plus my own sandwich. I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Comes on a nice roll with au jus and horseradish sauce on the side… and seriously, the size of the thing was as big as some prime ribs that I’ve gotten as a main course, i.e. not as a sandwich. Both sandwiches come with your choice of fries, soup of the day, or salad. We opted for soup and salad, respectively, and both were great. Soup was a wild mushroom bisque, salad was cold, crisp, and great blue cheese dressing! We also ordered the shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer… delish! The martinis were cold, plentiful, and the house wines(Pinot Noir and Chablis) were outstanding, particularly at their price points, $ 4.50 a glass for the Chablis, $ 6.50 for the Pinot, and generous pours each. We will be back more often now. Great lounge, great lounge food and drink, and the folks there are outstanding. We had a lot of fun, left stuffed and amazed… What could be better?

We ate there for Valentine’s Day and loved it. It wasn’t noisy as most places would be that day. We made reservations and they sat us at our table immediately upon our arrival. We had the fried calimari with spinach and my gf loved it! She ordered shrimp scampi linguini and I had the best steak I’ve eaten in the U.S. Hands down the chef there and staff deserve props for the excellent service they provided. The only drawback that I have to live with now, is no steak will ever come close to that taste.

Second time here, didn’t disappoint again. Hands down the best filet in Madison county, and maybe in St Louis(Have a special place in my heart for Ruth’s Chris and Flemings). I just love everything about this place. It’s intimate, they’ve been around for 24 years, and the quality is just absolutely amazing. I wish I could get my hands on their butcher to cut some filets for home. We started with the calamari. I liked it, didn’t love it. I would’ve rather had the marinara on the side instead of the calamari set on top of it. Just a personal preference. The Caesar salad was good, not overpowering on the dressing, to the point that I should’ve probably asked for a little more =). Fresh lettuce and crunchy fresh croutons. The bread that comes with the meal is good, though I’m a crusty sourdough lover, this bread does the job. It’s more of a focaccia type of bread, with fresh whipped butter. The steaks. Wow… I just love it. I’ve been to Craft Chophouse, I’ve been to Cleveland heath. Both good, in fact Cleveland I would say is great. But let’s be honest, these are foodie joints who love trying different things. I put myself in that category, but sometimes I just was a steak, a perfectly cooked, seared, and seasoned steak. Come to Andria’s for that. Some steak purists may not like the Andria’s sauce. I could do without it sometimes, but here it just kind of works. I paired our steaks with a side of Sophia sauce… I think I could’ve licked the serving container, it’s really that good. I consider myself a foodie, and this place is a diamond in the rough, literally. Prime steaks, intimate small atmosphere, friendly quick service. Last but not least. We had an appetizer, two salads, bread and butter, two baked potatoes with sour cream and butter, two perfectly cooked petite filets, and a bottle of wine. With tip, total bill was $ 125. Amazing.

No doubt this is the best place to get a steak on the Illinois side if the river. This location blows away the Ofallon location and the prices are better that less quality places to eat. The bread is awesome and the best thing on the menu is the prime rib. The bananas foster is off the hook as well. Again Andria’s Countryside in Edwardsville has it going on and you will not find a better steak than here. I have eaten there at least 20 times and have yet to ever have nothing but fantastic food and service. Don’t waste your time trying other places just stick to the best.

I love taking out-of-town friends here. They seem a little hesitant to go into what looks like someone’s house, then sit in what looks like someone’s living room. Until they get the menu and love their meals. The steaks are some of the best I’ve ever had, and I’m always looking for a good steak. I like that you can get toppings and sauces for the steaks a la carte so you can always get exactly what you’re in the mood for.

Great place for steak, fine dining, and a very relaxed atmosphere. I’ve had their ribeye and they were always delicious. I’ve been here several times but every single time I come back is always a treat. The calamari with marinara sauce and flash fried spinach is wonderful! Although I always feel slightly underdressed and underage for what seemed to be their normal clientele, I was never made to feel awkward. The staff are always friendly and the food were always terrific. I also have to add, they sometimes have a chef that goes out to the dining area to prepare some sort of banana dessert in a flaming little performance!

If I could introduce visitors to just one hidden gem in Edwardsville, then I would take them to the lounge at Andria’s. The atmosphere is more laid back than the dining rooms. But the bartenders, all female in my experience, are there when you need them, even though they’re probably tired from fending off all the old guys — yes, Andria’s could use a few more 20-somethings among its clientele. And THEFOOD!!! I nominate Andria’s steakburger BEST in the metro area. This is Angus prime steak ground up and grilled medium rare. Measured by subjective meaty satisfaction, it reminds me of the porkburger at Taste St. Louis, just a little bit better. After an Andria’s steakburger, Red Robin will seem like McDonald’s to you. During a recent visit, I had the steakburger AGAIN, w/side salad, while Gorgeous Gluten-free Girl chose something lighter: a grilled chicken salad. We split a bottle of St. Francis Merlot. When we were offered dessert, GGfG realized that Andria’s signature flaming dessert«Bananas Foster» is celiac safe. This choice led to the unexpected pleasure of meeting owner Craig Tarpoff, who listed the ingredients just to be sure, and explained that he doesn’t create Bananas Foster tableside(or barside) in the lounge. Since we were more into flavor than flames, that was fine with us. You can google the general recipe, but I’m pretty sure that our buttery, sugary, rummy bananas also had a healthy dose of chopped pecans. As I said in an earlier review, the appearance of the building won’t impress you, and you may wonder whether you’ve made the right choice. Carnivores take courage and walk inside, because behind those unpretentious walls you are going to find really good meat. I’ve ordered or shared beef, lamb, and pork. All were excellent! In addition to the fine meat, Andria’s makes extensive use of locally grown vegetables and herbs, some grown on the property. Drinks are reasonably priced: well drinks in the $ 4 range, wines by the glass $ 4-$ 6, house wine carafes less than $ 20, and bottles moving up in price from there. They can do gluten-free, but you’ll probably have to ask a few questions about ingredients. It’s worth it.

It’s one of those slightly fancy steakhouses that you see in the country. It’s got a regular menu and a lounge menu. My family and I went here while visiting some relatives to celebrate my Father’s birthday. My family is a prime rib family so that’s what we got. The prime rib was served«french style» whatever that means. All I know is, my sister who is the only NON-STEAK person in our family LOVED the prime rib here. She loved the sauce they slathered all over it and the horseradish they served with it to. I though it was a little salty but otherwise, the prime was A-OK. Appetizer-wise, the baked brie and the calamari was awesome. The food is nice here, but they separate the people who are eating from the lounge menu and the people who are eating from the restaurant menu so we were all by ourselves. It turned out to be a good thing since we had a screaming, running 3 yr old with us, but still, if we went without the kid, the ambiance would have been off.

I’d give them 4 stars if they didn’t change their menu. Classic steakhouse set in somebody’s house… Little weird but works. Only place around where you can get a prime steak. Classic 40’s steakhouse style food

Best steak in town!!! The chef does an amazing job preparing exactly the way you want it and whatever you want. People comment it is pricey but keep in mind it comes with an oversized side dish and salad or soup. The staff is extremely nice and the wine list is well thought out and very extensive. LOVE the Steak Sophia, Chicken Spedini and French onion soup and table 2 by the window for a romantic evening or in the bar for a fun one.
