We found this little place recently and while it doesn’t look like much, the food is better than you’d expect from looking at the place. I had an omelette with fresh veggies which was delicious and my husband had the corned beef hash benedict which he said was the best he’d ever had — not greasy in the least! The Hollandaise sauce appeared to be packaged but service was attentive and the food arrived quickly. I will say that they appear to be in the midst of renovations, which is a good thing because the carpet looked rough and you can still see the grease-stained, ancient wallpaper on the un-renovated half(the bar/kitchen side). I’m sure we’ll go back before long — though hopefully once renovations are finished.

Breakfast was quite tasty. Had to wait for my home fries but that was just fine by me… They were hot and fresh! I was disappointed that I couldn’t get the biscuits and gravy(they put onion in the gravy… Not traditionally in southern biscuits and gravy) and I really like that the pancake was a little crispy on the endge!

A pretty definitive Easthampton dining experience. Solid, no-nonsense diner food, open early in the morning, at really decent prices. Can get pretty busy, but nothing like the wait you’d get a few miles away in Northampton for the same quality food. They want to put some meat on your bones though, so don’t be surprised if you find the combination plates far cheaper than the individual items, or that you’re already slipping into a food coma halfway through a plate.

It’s different since the ownership changed hands(even though it’s staying within extended family). We were hoping they’re just ironing out wrinkles, but I guess people have responded negatively to changes and they’ve posted a defensive Facebook response which basically says«tough luck» to those who dislike the changes, so I think this might be tough transition. We have lived down the street for a year and a half and come almost every weekend at least once(and sometimes during the week). I’ve noticed since the sale that;the pancake batter is very different, the home fries are now deep fried(and dry), and the eggs have been overcooked consistently. I think we’re going to go somewhere else for awhile. I really loved this place for its half sized choices, awesome home fries, amazing consistency in the cooking of food and the service of some badass ladies who moved like the parts of a Swiss clock. The consistency has gone down and the potatoes are a sacrilege but many of those ladies are still there. I’m really going to miss them(I really hope their new boss realizes how awesome they are).

I love diners«where everybody knows your name…» Unless you are an out-of-towner like myself. But that’s ok, they still treated me like family here. I sat at the«not so comfortable» vinyl bar stool. This ain’t no Waffle House and that’s a good thing. I was greeted promptly and courteously by my server and I got a cup of hot Joe. Not the best coffee but it had the octane I was looking for. I ordered the Irish Eggs Benedict which has house made corned beef hash instead of Canadian Bacon and that was the right call to make. It took almost a half hour for the food to arrive but when it did, I glanced down at this giant plate and thought, «Not in a million years could I eat all that.» I tore into the perfectly poached eggs and the heavenly hash melted in my mouth. Before I knew it, I was staring at a clean plate wondering what gluttonous demon possessed my palate and forced me to consume that amount of food. Even if they don’t remember your name, I promise you, you’ll be really glad you came. See you next time Silver Spoon!

This location has been operating as a restaurant since 1905 except for one year. They have home-made bread for toast. Yummy. Everything was made perfectly. Great service. The food was cooked & served promptly. I am looking forward to going back sometime to try their lunches.

Old time diner type place. Great atmosphere. Good prices. Fast Service. The breakfast portions are more than generous. The menu has a lot of good options. For breakfast, I personally really enjoyed the home fries. They were nicely seasoned. The French toast was top notch.

Had a really good breakfast here. Their homemade hash is really recommended. In the summer time, there is outdoor seating. Prices are good and the service is quick and friendly.

I was in the area, visiting family and wanted to visit with my Uncle. We met here and had a great experience. Each of us were very happy with the breakfast dishes we ordered. Everything came out hot and fresh. The coffee was kept topped off and the service was efficient. I wish my community could support such a sweet little restaurant like this. We had a great experience and the service was spot-on. Great job!

Can’t go too wrong with my usual eggs & toast, but the service is very seldom any good(unless it’s a new waitress). It’s like a mate, if they don’t look that great(the place is dingy), their personalities better make up for it. This is NOT the case here. The staff seem so incredibly jaded, except toward a handful of regulars. Btw…I would skip the pancakes(tasteless, and a bit tough). I do recommend the homemade wheat toast.

Food was ok, prices decent but staff attitude was very cold. They didn’t seam to care how your visit was or if you needed anything. They left you alone until you got there attention and even then their«bedside manner» is barely there.

Great New England diner with home-cooked food. A nice change from the typical chain fare. Had the home made corned beef hash and was very satisfied. The other order was pancakes with real maple syrup($ 1.50 additional but worth it). Definitely worth a try.

Unilocal came through once again. this unassuming restaurant has it all. Everything was fresh, wholesome, and deliciously prepared. worth the trip from Boston via Northampton. glad we ventured out of our regular spot. Jeff, the owner, made us feel right at home as did the lovely couple we shared a four top with since the place was packed and for good reason.

Great, real-deal Northeastern diner. All the usuals you’d expect and then some. Friendly and accommodating staff. My whole group of traveling misfits really enjoyed it.

Looking at the number of reviews im surprised there arent more people visiting this lovely place for breakfast! We ordered the veggie benedict, roasted veggie sandwich and plain waffles. The benedict was perfect and the waffle was crisp and soft at the same time! The sandwich was okay. What made the experience even better was that our waitress was super friendly and made us feel very comfortable! Definitely recommend this place for a good sumptuous breakfast!

We stopped at this place on our way back to NYC from a weekend getaway and I’m so glad we did. I had the Crow’s Nest — I think(I actually forgot exactly what it was called, but it was homemade corned beef hash, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce and potatoes). The eggs were cooked perfectly and their corned beef hash and hollandaise were magical. I kills me that I won’t be able to order from this place whenever I want. I would say that I wish they would open a spot in NYC, but if they did,(and I say this as someone that loves NYC and its people) it would be overrun by ironic beards in flannel in a heartbeat and would be too crowded to ever enjoy. Plus, it would lose its natural Americana charm and appeal. My boyfriend got a lumberjack that he was pleased with and our friends got biscuits and gravy and the biscuits and gravy were amazing! The next time I’m in East Hampton, this place will be my first stop for sure.

OMG the Crow’s Nest. Easily the greatest diner breakfast I’ve ever had and, of course, totally impossible to finish. The only reason I’m knocking my review down a star is because I’ve had a couple of sketchy experiences with the service. The wrong food coming out, missing items, mis-tallied checks, etc. Not good. But the place is always warm and welcoming, and the food is always perfect(in a greasy diner-y kind of way.)

«As good as it gets!» seems like a fitting way to express how I feel about this place’s breakfast. Eggs prepared just how I like them, potatoes seasoned perfectly, delicious bacon, buttered home made wheat toast, and nice thick coffee mugs. Friendly staff, cheap prices, many food options, and right downtown. You have to check in at this local great breakfast joint!
