Absolutely my favorite place to go get Phở. The owner is so nice as well as everyone else. They have very quick service as well. they have the best tasting phở around, especially the beef one!

Just thinking about the phở here warms me up and makes me hungry. It is ahh-mazing. I have been coming here for years and the broth is always delicious, the meat tender and flavorful and the vegetables fresh. The restaurant is nothing fancy but it’s clean and it’s quiet. The staff is welcoming and the service is very quick. I’ll admit Phở 501 down the street does offer a slightly more savory phở but the wait there is often atrocious and the place is crowded and loud. I much prefer the ambiance and friendly service at Phở 99. I haven’t tried much else off the menu at Phở 99 but I definitely intend to!

I never had Phở before and stopped here because we were close by(at Cabelas) and needed a place for lunch. The entire family loved the Phở(which is a very flavorful vietnamese soup). We all had the chicken PHO. My wife and I had the spicy version. We were also greeted by the owner who made us feel at home and explained the food. We will definitely go again on our way to vermont.

Tucked into a small plaza on Silver Lane, Phở 99 is inviting and comfortable. The décor has a finished, polished feel. Even the blue strings of lights along the inner divider fit in some indefinable way. A friend and I were there for phở, which is something of a winter obsession for each of us. The staff was right there to get our order, and a very hot plate of coconut fried shrimp arrived shortly. As good as they were, the phở was better. It’s a sweeter broth than some, but with all the deep richness of the traditional soup. As the restaurant filled up — and it did — service got spottier. We had trouble getting the staff’s attention to get water glasses filled. On checking out, though, we asked for a container for the remaining shrimp, and they packaged it with as much attention to presentation as I’ve seen on a restaurant plate. I could easily explore other items on their menu!

Wow. I travel all over the US and Canada and this has to be one of the best bowls of shrimp Phở I have had. Very nice and fresh very tasty place is very clean and staff is friendly. Prices are in line and they also offer teas and speciality items along with all the condiments. Yum

This place is a lively destination for lunch. It is spacious and clean but the parking is sparse and not easy. The Phở is very good and comes out quickly from the kitchen. The other dishes understandable take a bit longer. The service is mostly good, but paying the check is always the worse part of the experience, Rather than dropping your check at the table, you need to stand in line at the register and sift through all the checks to find your own — sounds easy? everything is written in Vietnamese.

So were do I start? I love Mi Ga geez I love Phở for phở’s sake. The interior is very clean and has yellow and sage green painted walls and it is roomy so you don’t feel squeezed in. You get a printed menu. They offer more than soup. So, you can get appetizers or other delicious Vietnamese offerings. They have Boba tea and the delicious Avocado Milkshakes… YES, I said Avocado milkshakes… don’t knock it till you try it! We came for Chicken Soup or Mi Ga & Phở Ga if we are being precise. They offer two sizes regular or large and you really can’t tell the difference between the two only that the large is $ 11.50 and the regular is $ 1.00 less. So, I ordered Mi Ga which is supposed to be a chicken broth based so with egg noodles and the hubby orders Phở Ga which is supposed to be a chicken broth based soup but with rice noodles. I don’t think our waiter understood Vietnamese because when we ordered we had to point on the menu and repeat in english??? Anyhow our soups come out and we notice my hubby’s broth seemed much darker than mine??? We taste it and it’s beef broth with sliced chicken What? We get the waiter and he tells us we ordered Phở Ga and Phở Ga is beef broth with Chicken and rice noodle. Well that’s news to me since I eat alot of Vietnamese food and and anyplace I have gone or Vietnamese recipe I have looked up for Phở Ga is Chicken broth based soup with rice noodles. Well, any how they replaced my hubby’s soup with what he wanted. The broth here very light and is loaded with the flavor of star anise. They use cooked sliced breast meat instead of pull white chicken or on the bone hacked chicken. It also contains iceberg lettuce, Sliced onions and scallions. My egg noodles and my hubby’s rice noodles were both over cooked. They bring out a plate of bean sprouts, limes and 2 slices of jalapeño. The jalapeños were soggy, weird or may I say gross. Wanted to use them but didn’t. So, I don’t think I will be coming here for soup. Just the Bo Luc Lac and Avocado Milkshakes yummy. Oh, when my hubby went to pay the bill the woman at the register lectured him about his Phở Ga. And then threw in the comment that she didn’t charge us for the messed up one. Really? If you look on their menu it says«Chicken Noodle Soup(Phở Ga)» then the description says Chicken Noodle Soup. It says the same for the Mi Ga. If they serve Phở Ga with beef broth it should state this on the menu. There are many religions that don’t eat beef and they’d be really mad if they ordered this and ate it. Oh, well… I am going to blame myself for this venture since I know where to get the best Mi Ga and I just need to stick with them. And, I will just eat the other things on the menu here… I gave them 3 stars because they do do the other menu items justice. Just not a fan of their Phở or Mi Ga.

Ok so I’ve been to a lot of phở restaurants and this place is by far the worst ones of all but the food was decent. What was so bad about it is the wait. Whenever you order phở it comes out within 5 to 10 minutes. this time it took about 20 minutes! I was starving and I couldn’t wait any longer. another reason is because the staffs are really loud I couldn’t even hear my friend talking. the food here is expensive and a guy came in 5 minutes after us and he got his food out first. He was a regular so they were paying more attention to him than to us. Ugh I don’t think I’m coming back

I love this place. I go, almost, every weekend. Place is clean, has cute decorations, nothing over the top. A little more details would help the location give it more appeal. The soup is the best Vietnamese phở I’ve had. I’ve had soup in a few different places and I won’t compare them. They really offer a taste of their culture and food. I love their vegetable soup. However, for meat eaters, the flavor of their broth is excellent. You have to put the bean sprouts, the leafs, and some lime to get the full flavor the soup has to offer. The staff are the kindness people you can meet. They are all soft spoken, polite, and a pleasure to speak to. The lady behind the counter gives out a different vibe, like the one I get from someone with a strong personality. The price is a little high for the type of location and of restaurant. but the food is definitely worth it, I’ll pay more for it if I had to.

Probably my favorite phở restaurant in the Hartford area. I usually just get the phở dac biet(special) or the bun bo hue. The broth is very flavorful and has a much cleaner taste than other places. I always found phở 501 to be way too salty for my taste. It is a tad pricier compared to other phở restaurants, but the quality is worth it!

Ya, it’s good… I like the phở, but I will tell you however that my new passion is the marinated chicken, it’s a roasted chicken breast on bone served with fried rice. The chicken is sooooo tender and moist and crispy outside. You simply can’t go wrong. The prices aren’t bad and the staff is very nice and welcoming. I always get the bubble tea which is perfect and some friends always opt for the coffee afterward… it’s tasty jet fuel, I will tell you this much. Paying is also incredibly easy, when you are finished, you just walk up and tell them what you had, this saves soooooo much time when it comes to eating with a large group. My one complaint is the parking situation. It is horrendous, be prepared to worry about your car getting towed for the duration of your visit. There are only a few spots in the plaza with which you are allowed to park as the other side is owned by a convenience store and you aren’t allowed to park in their spot, oohhhh no. Unless there is additional parking elsewhere that I am unaware of? Anyone? Phở 99 is a phở gem phở sure, great for lunch if you’re looking for something quick and hearty.

I have no idea why this place has such a good average to be honest. I really thought it was overpriced, had a weird interior, and the phở was extremely *meh*. I had the classic beef one with meatballs tripe and rare steak. Not impressed! Plus the noodles had a really odd off flavor to them — both my boyfriend’s and mine — as though they came from a package that was really really old. They tasted like they had had an extremely long shelf life. Plus the woman ringing us out overcharged us and I had to correct her, which isn’t part of the 3 star rating but obviously I wasn’t too pleased about that either.

Another great place to feed your phở addiction. Pretty extensive Vietnamese menu, not limited to phở, despite the name. I haven’t tried anything but the phở because it is so good. If looks are any indication I believe the rest of the menu matches the soup in flavor and quality. Parking is very limited.

Stopped in real quick for Summer rolls and Spring Rolls. Pretty good, but a little more expensive than your average Vietnamese restaurant. Only 2 medium sized spring rolls per order @ 6/order…kinda steep. I’d come check out their phở if I was in the neighborhood again.

What a great little place. I’ve been to several of the areas Vietnamese/Phở places and although others are good, this place is great. The owner, Peter is very hands on. He went out of his way to explain some of the menu items and how they prepare many things. He’s very excited and passionate about the ingredients and authenticity. The food itself was delicious. We got the vegetable phở, beef phở, summer rolls, and fried coconut shrimp. Everything was perfectly flavored and cooked. I wish I lived closer so I could come here more often but this will be my home for Phở and other Vietnamese goodies.

This place is superb. Peter, the owner, takes pride in every detail. The phở, of course, is amazing but so is everything else. Fresh ingredients, flavorful dishes, and fantastic preparation. Authentic? Who knows… never been to Vietnam Nam. But if this is how food always tastes thrre, I am planning a trip. Yeah, it is that good.
