M & M Fresh Fruit Salad

Warning, if you’re used to real phở this is nothing like it! I haven’t tried anything else phở-​rom here but if you are looking for authentic phở I think you will have to make the drive out phở-​rom Hartphord to West Hartphord. Don’t come here phở phở!!!

Great food and they always park in the best area near Bushnell Park! I had the Pork fried rice with fruit on the side!
The food is fresh and tasty, so worth going and grabbing lunch in the go!

The fruit salad is amazing and I love that you can ask for it without any fruits you don’t want. Standard is watermelon, pineapple, honey dew, cantaloup, strawberries and grapes.
The wings — they’re teradactyl wings!!! They are HUGE and you get 5 for only $ 6 — or $ 7.50 with a side of rice. Super crispy and HOT (temperature) even after walking 3 blocks back to my office.
Some people are surprised at the egg roll. They are really thin compared to what you’d get at a chinese restaurant. But no (or verry little) veg in them. just meat and flavor fried to golden perfection.
Love that you can call ahead to place your order. Even though it’s totally worth the wait!!!

Very good! Fresh fruit salads of different sizes, you can decline certain fruits (everything is watermelon, honeydew, grapes, cantaloupe, pineapple, stawberries).
I’ve had the spring rolls with chicken and also with tofu. very good and fresh, good dipping sauce, and they gave me almost enough sauce (I LOVE dipping sauces). With a small fruit salad it was $ 8
I will be back!

M&M was the first of 8 food trucks I tried in Hartford this weekend, all located at or around Bushnell Park. Found it by accident on the walk to the park and it’s one of it not the only bare metal food truck I have ever seen. The paint has been removed like a current hot rod trend. Got in line behind some Hartford fire fighters and learned how to order from them. Seems the fresh fruit is by and far the most popular and you can select a single type of fruit if you wish.
I had the watermelon, fried shrimp and an egg roll. Egg roll and shrimp were deep fried to order and could serve as a lunch on their own. The watermelon that the fire fighters and downtown office workers were ordering was extremely fresh and delicious.
Outstanding food quality. It was cash only and I was charged exactly $ 2 more than the total of the menu prices. When asking why $ 2 was added was told it was for «tax». Seems if true Hartford has an extremely high tax rate on food trucks. I didn’t encounter this at the other seven…

Had been meaning to stop by and the gorgeous spring day finally provided the perfect excuse to swing by Bushnell Park.
You can come for the fruit. I like the Vietnamese food. Vermicelli with chicken and egg rolls was thoroughly addictive to eat. Great flavors and freshness. A good size portion too.
Service was quick and friendly and the price is reasonable.
Overall, I enjoyed it and will definitely come back again. At least if the warmer weather stays with us.

Name is deceiving they have WAY more than fruit. Amazing quality fresh cooked lunch meals at a great price. I love the spring rolls with shrimp and peanut sauce, and the chicken and rice dish.
The best part is the fruit salad. They have all different sizes and you can customize what fruit which they slice fresh to order… amazing. No mushy melon with skimpy strawberries here!
Oh yeah, and they have Phở, need I say more?
Fast and friendly, family owned, just consistent in everything they do.
Only con is cash only, but I highly recommend walking over on your lunch break or grabbing a snack if you’re a downtown resident.

This place is a gem. The food is excellent and many times I call ahead to order. Vermicelli with Shrimp is sooo tasty. I’ve also had the chicken noodle phở — also great — and on the lighter side, M&M has a medium chicken salad for $ 4.50 that is a nice meal, full of veggies, fresh chicken — even a sliced boiled egg. I have to say it’s the nicest salad off a truck in park area.

I went here on the advice of a co-​worker who told me that they had more than just fruit. Indeed, this truck has a whole section of their menu devoted to Vietnamese food. At his recommendation, I tried the Tofu with Mixed Vegetables. It was delicious! The mixed vegetables were onions, red peppers, carrots and broccoli. It comes with lots of rice. I thought it was a very fair portion for $ 6. They have other options too, and after today’s meal, I’m tempted to try them. I’m definitely getting an egg roll ($ 1) next time. Someday, I’ll have to try the fruit!
