In the spirit of getting this over with… This deserves a Tip maybe and not a review. Here we go: 1. Begrudgingly Friendly & Rushed Service and the store was a ghost town. 2. Not affiliated with the Parsippany Location so don’t read the Parsippany reviews and expect those wonders here. 3. Meat Sliced to order — Nice. 4. Turkey was fresh but I did not find any smoke flavor. 5. Herb Mayo tasted like Thousand Island. 6. Wheat bread does not hold up well to moisture. 7. Taste was alright. This is what provided any stars. 8. Fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers on sandwich were good. But when are fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers not good? 9. Potato salad was decent. I like the addition of shredded carrots. 10. Your dollar could stretch a lot further in the area if you’re looking for a deli. Good amount of authentic options. $ 15 bucks for a sandwich, soda can, potato salad, and chips. That’s a bit pricey to me for the area when you can go to Jersey Mikes and get an arms length worth of sandwich for 10 bucks. 11. No napkins, no straw, no fork, no bueno I will pass on the Wazu. At least this location.

Great sandwiches and wraps. Love the tomato basil wrap. Outstanding customer service. They have a lot of staff working so you never have to wait long on line! I go here almost every week.

Seriously love this place. I go at least once a week. Honestly the best sandwich in Jersey!!! Plus they are fast and friendly. I just had the Italian the other day, it was so good. My go to is a ham and provolone, which is always tasty. I am a sandwich fanatic and this is my local fav…

I’ve actually been here a few times in the past and have been to the Parsippany location many times. I remembered this location as being a lot better. Some of the more recent reviews actually mention new ownership but I have no idea whether that is true or not. The place was a lot more bare bones than I had remembered it but it’s a deli so I’m not really going for ambiance. Also, the menu is much smaller than I had remembered. They have a cold sub section(about 20) and some hot sandwiches and wraps. I ordered their #1 which was pressed ham, salami and provolone. The guy I ordered from tells me that it’s better when you get boiled ham as opposed to pressed ham on the menu. I tell him OK — do it. He then proceeds to tell me that he’ll have to charge me the price of a #2 which was only a $ 0.30 difference but it was kind of a strange interaction. If the sandwich is that much better with that type of ham, why not just change the menu and update the pricing? I don’t know; that’s just my take. There were 2 other things I wasn’t a huge fan of. One was the chip selection. Besides your«Lay’s» staples, not much of a chip selection at all. I love going to a deli and seeing a ton of different chips to choose from. You’re not going to get that here. Also, they offer fountain soda which I like but the Diet Pepsi was almost all club soda. Oh well. You win some and you lose some. The sandwich was good. I wasn’t blown away by it but it was fine. There wasn’t a ton of meat but they didn’t skimp, either. The bread was actually the best part. It was incredibly fresh and soft. I’m near certain they don’t make their own bread but it was good. For the price, the sandwich was a good size. Nothing was bad but nothing was great. I’d probably give some other places a shot the next time in the area for a sandwich. If they had a bigger chip selection, I’d probably be a bigger fan of this place.

Made a delivery to their kitchen, and it is filthy! I wouldn’t dream of eating there. Sorry, I rated the wrong wazu. I’m referring to the one in Caldwell

I went here today for lunch. For starters, the credit card machine was broken. What was the solution? They took down my credit card number on receipt paper and taped it on a shelf for the rest of the restaurant to see. What a great solution, you idiots. I’ll now be calling Chase to get a new credit card. Secondly, I got the grilled chicken caesar wrap. The wrap itself was disgusting. The lettuce was old and bruised. The chicken was average. The salad dressing tasted like mayo. Overall, the sandwich was very bland and had no taste. I will never ever recommend this establishment to others and I wish it was possible to give it a negative review. PS– workers here were very rude too.

This is my go to sandwich place in town for any cold sandwiches. Their tuna is phenomenal in my opinion and their gourmet chicken salad is also very good. Get either of those with red onion and balsamic, can’t go wrong. I also really enjoy their buffalo chicken sandwich made with breaded chicken. The buffalo sauce is a homemade recipe and it is really tasty and not too spicy. The service here is always good and they are very friendly. I visit at least once a week and have yet to have something I didn’t enjoy.

I had a sample(nice sized sample) of one of their hoagies. I chose the tuna one and it had oil and vinegar and also onion. I thought it was really good and tasty but it DID leave an after taste of onion.

Couldnt have been any worse. Rude staff and overly priced for a sandwich. Sandwiches we got also had no flavor to them and just tasted god awful. Parsippany location is better. i think different owners

Great sandwiches, but somewhat expensive for what you get. The staff can be pretty rude as well when you are checking out. The delicious food keeps me coming back though.

Not a fan. First, they don’t keep their website updated. has outdate prices and information. Second, they create a chicken parm that’s dry and the bread too crunchy. For $ 8, I expected a lot better… and no fries, even. There are plenty of delis in the area, I’ll try another. *Note, apparently these are not the original owners anymore. Which probably explains why their information is outdated and food has changed.

The only thing«great» about this location was the speed in which it took the ham and cheese sub I ordered from Wazu’s this past Friday(2⁄14), to pass through my bowels. I kid you not, I barely made it back to work before there was a major accident in my pants. I’ve never experienced an 8″ sub liquify and disperse from my nether regions like that before. And I don’t wish that on my worst enemy As I was ordering the sub, there were a few red flags, the guy slicing the ham wasn’t wearing gloves, and the guy prepping the sub for the tomatoes and mayo, seemed to wipe down the prep area with a filthy rag, pushing breadcrumbs and bits from previous sandwiches into the containers for the onions and tomatoes. I literally spent the entire weekend with symptoms of food poison, with cold sweats, and no appetite. Do yourself a favor, and only visit this place if you’re in need of major cleansing.

The Rise and Fall of Wazu: I started working in the area about a year and a half ago and when I first got to the area I really liked Wazu and would come here for lunch 3 – 4 times a week. Staff was friendly and food was okay. I would mostly grab a salad and the occasional wrap. The wraps we’re never closed on the end and food would fall out but it’s not a deal-breaker for me. A few months later they hired a new chef and re-vamped their whole menu for healthy eaters which was great for me because I’m very health conscious. The place completely turned around and had awesome new meals with a bunch of new ingredients that were not previously offered. I tried so many different healthy meals and loved them all. Then — poof, the new chef disappeared and apparently took with him the quality of this place. Now if you go into Wazu you better have a second or third choice or what you may want. Half of the menu items that are STILL displayed are not even available anymore. Sometimes they won’t have a specific meat or topping you may want and it really gets frustrating when they’re advertising it. I’ve gone up to submit my order a few times and have walked out because they did not have what I had went in there for. For example, the gentleman in front of me last time i went asked for proscuitto on his sandwich and he was told they didn’t have it. What kind of sandwich shop does not have proscuitto?! Next I was up in line, I asked for a spinach salad(which they always have) and without fail something went wrong… they didn’t have spinach. It just always seems to be an issue with whatever you want to order unless you’re getting your typical italian sub or something. The prices for what you get leave much to be desired. I’ve paid 7 – 8 $ for a small salad where they skimp on the toppings. Their wraps are small for the price(8 $). The staff also often seems to be out of sync with each other. I had to wait a minute at checkout last time while the person at the register finished his conversation with a coworker. I also had 3 things to carry and was not offered a bag so I wound up carrying everything out by hand. This place has really gone downhill in a short time. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt every time I go there but there’s always an issue with my order or something that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I think i’m going to avoid this place from now on and stick with David Allans around the corner or Espositos across the street,

One of the best sub shops around. Fair prices, quality meats and cheeses, awesome all around. If you’re looking for something really great, try the tuna sub. The tuna is spectacular! I usually don’t love tuna made elsewhere than my own home but this is great. Whenever I’m in doubt of what to get for lunch, Wazu is at the top of the list.

I feel like I’ve reviewed the Wazu before? In my opinion one of the best old school sammich shops in the area. The bread, meats, and cheese are always fresh, I can’t say I remember ever being disappointed with a food choice here. The staff is generally pretty friendly but cut them a little slack when they’re in the middle of a lunch rush so don’t be stupid. This is def a place where there’s a way that you order, first guy does meat cheese and bread, second does toppings/dressing, and then you pay. It does help to know what you want and to pay with cash.

The place seems to have spruced up quite a bit. Most of the clientele seem to be guys but lately I’ve been seeing more women and even some families. The staff are nice and helpful. The sandwiches are consistently good with fresh bread and ingredients. They are trying to expand beyond sandwiches with more interesting daily specials and«muscle meals.» Handy for take out but also pleasant for eat-in. I was a regular customer until the owner was unbelievably rude to me. Haven’t been back and won’t go back. I’ve been around the corner to Jersey Mikes, where they treat me like GOLD.

On recommendation from a friend, I decided to come here for some hoagies. The restaurant is somewhat dark with mostly natural light coming in(it was cloudy). The menu is pretty standard with cold sandwiches, cheese steaks, burgers, salads, etc. I chose the«World Famous» tuna sub and a chilli dog. I don’t know which world they came from, but I don’t think this is famous on Earth. The tuna was pasty with all of the ingredients mashed together. I would like to see some flaking on the fish please. Granted their veges seemed fresh. Their hot dog is served on a toasted hoagie ’cause their dog is not your typical ball park dog. The chilli is decent with kidney beans and chunks of beef. The cheese… I expected shredded cheddar cheese. Instead, I got a slice of American cheese, which didn’t give the chilli dog its distinctive flavor. I was disappointed. There are plenty of other s’wich places to choose from.

After I posted my first review, I was contacted by the owner. To me, this is a good thing. This shows me that he is listening to his customers and taking our reviews seriously. A couple of weeks ago I decided to give the Wazu another try. I saw that they have changed the look and feel of the space a lot. It looks much nicer now and overall the place now presents a certain vibe and it’s a lot more exciting than it used to be. I raised my review by one star… if you look through my many reviews I am very conservator with my ratings. I don’t give out many 4 star ratings and 5 star ratings barely ever happen. A three star rating from me is solid. If the staff could get friendlier and make me feel more welcome things could change. My sandwich was good, but it wasn’t awesome or huge so that’s another factor to consider because prices matter. The only real change from last time to this time was the décor and that change was very big and much better.
