I love Lauren Machon! I booked her to come to my house for all the hair/​makeup for my wedding and all the girls (and myself) looked amazing. She was extremely professional, arrived early to set up, and worked her butt off to do 6 hairstyles and 4 girls for makeup. I highly recommend her!

It has been 5 months since my initial review. I have become a loyal customer. For the first time in my life I have been pampering myself getting my nails done every other week. Katie is incredible. She is a true professional, gentle, down to earth, and more than accommodating individual. I have had to reschedule several appointments and it works out just fine.
All the staff is very friendly and seems very happy to work there which is refreshing!

This update is based on the caring, good natured owner reaching out to me based on my previous review.
Amy personally wrote to me addressing my concerns and apologizing not only for the experience, but for not reading the review sooner. She has set to ensure my satisfaction with another go with her personally. And, though I am with a salon now that I love, it was much appreciated that she would take the time to offer her time and right any wrong I perceived.
If nothing else, Amy is a great business owner who is committed to her clients and to her salon, and I respect her tremendously for that. A star upgrade for you, Amy.

I walked into this salon hoping to get a haircut (spontaneous decision, no appointment!). Hillary greeted me and was able to take care of me later that day.
I had and awesome shampoo and the exact haircut I was looking for.

This place is a great little gem in EG. I got a great Mani and Pedi for a steal of a deal!
Being a Providence Gal, I woke one morning to a great deal on Groupon for a Mani/​Pedi deal for only $ 39. I jumped on the opportunity because after 2 years of culinary school and not being able to wear nail polish, my nails needed some, TLC for sure!
Everyone here is really professional. I loved my whole experience. The salon is laid out well, with relaxing colors. They offer snacks and drinks as you get pampered which is great.
I highly reccomend this place!

I went with a friend for a manicure-​pedicure and the two women who worked with us were great. Very friendly, with a serious emphasis on cleanliness. This salon was very clean and well-​lit. The only reason I docked one star was the fact that the pedicure station is in the back and the manicure stations are up front so my friend and I didn’t get to sit and chat while we got our nails done. Overall, great service at a reasonable price!

Studio 401 opened in September 2010 but packs all the professionalism and experience of a salon that’s been around for ages.
The facilities are super clean and the staff is really inviting. The hair cutting area is spacious and really well lit while the pedicure area has a bit lower lighting for better relaxation. They have plenty of treats to offer too such as tea, hot cocoa and more!
I made an appointment here the day before and they were able to accommodate me right away. Amy, the owner, did an excellent job of listening to my ideas and working with me to choose the right shades for my hair color.
I had highlights done and I am brunette so we all know how that can go if you’re not in the right hands. Amy knew exactly what she was doing and gave me perfectly spaced highlights and then we kicked it up a bit with some funky color. It was the perfect mix of adding a little funk without looking cheap.
They use Redken hair color and OPI nail color and are a full service salon.
Credit cards are accepted and I believe you can add the tip to the credit card total. (Thank god for the that!)
I highly recommend Studio 401 and will definitely be going back.
