Very consistently delicious. I had lunch at Rasa with a friend and it was the first time at this restaurant for her. She really liked it and I know she will be back. Service was great and I am sure my husband and I will go back for dinner very soon.

I have been multiple times and I always make sure to try something new and I have never been disappointed! Everything is delicious! My personal favorite is the Chicken Tikka Masala.

The food is pretty good, but do yourself a favor and get take out. The service is disappointing. When we showed up we were told it would be 10 minutes. We were the only people waiting, a party of two at 7:30 pm. In the 20 minutes that we waited to be seated, we watched 5 tables finish their meals, pay and leave. Finally, the host/manager came to seat us. I think he saw the frustration on my face because he offered us an appetizer on the house! This was so sweet. We enjoyed our appetizer and meals. When the bill came, the appetizer was charged. I’ve been in the restaurant business for years and I felt weird asking them to take it off the bill. But I didn’t even have a chance to because the host who offered us this free dish was nowhere to be seen! GONE! Communication with your staff is important, especially to please customers. The food is good, but the other locations(Rasoi and Kabob and Curry) are SO much better. The customer service here is careless, frustrating, and disappointing.

The food is outstanding! Perfect atmosphere and the staff is so kind and friendly. Take your time while you enjoy the experience and relax because this is the perfect place to not feel rushed or in a hurry. A true dining experience you don’t find very often any more!

Rasa is exceptional. I order takeout and dine in regularly, which is quite an achievement. You see, I don’t like Indian food. At least, that is what I said three years ago, P.R.(Pre Rasa). The drinks are tasty. I especially like their take on martinis and the old fashioned. The specifics ingredients rotate, but they’ve used cucumber and pomegranate to great effect in their martinis. The old fashioned uses just enough orange, cherry, and bitters to make a smooth, delectable drink. They go down fast. The garlic and cilantro naan is a staple of our typical order. The sauce is kicky without making your face melt. Wait. I just realized why the drinks go down so quickly. We always order the Cauliflower 65. Imagine a buffalo wing made with cauliflower instead of chicken. It is simply delicious. I’ve started seeking it out in other restaurants after enjoying it at Rasa. We order the lamb Tikka most of the time. It makes me so happy with the basmati rice. The serving is generous. We usually take some home with us for leftovers, which are promptly gobbled up later that evening or for lunch the next day.

I have eaten at Rasa a few times and it is always delicious. The manager is very friendly and accommodating. One time we were seated by the bar and a large group came in and was standing quite close to our table. The manager came right over with no prompting and asked if we would prefer another table. The chicken tikka masala and chicken biryani are my favorites. Very generous portions! Great addition to Main Street!

Great service and delicious options that will suite fans of spice or fans of balanced dishes. This is a great value for the quality of food. Good for lunch or dinner

Really good portions and a nice Indian place. We tried the chicken appetizer which I wasn’t a huge fan of but my boyfriend was, however for the entrée both the lamb and spinach and chicken coconut curry was very good. Honestly the thing that won me over for the 5 stars was the treatment by the staff. This place has the nicest and accommodating staff that makes you feel so welcome and well treated.

I love Rasa! My friend and have adopted it as our regular lunch get together spot and it never disappoints! Such reasonable prices for fantastic food! You have to try the coconut date nan — a favorite.

If you’ve been to Kabob & Curry in Providence, you should know that this is the same owner. I’ve only been to Rasa once but the visit was incredible. Food, ambiance, and service were all amazing. Both my boyfriend and I got curry dishes, with rosemary naan bread and a bottle of wine. Every part of our meal was absolutely delicious. I can’t wait to go back! Reservations can be made online.

Rasa is owned by the same fabulous people as Kabob and Curry and Rasoi, my two other Indian food favorites in RI. Because of this, you know the food quality will be the same, and the preparation of certain favorite dishes will generally match. This is a relief, since dishes can really vary sometimes from restaurant to restaurant. I must say, the décor at Rasa easily beats that of its older sisters. Blue is the color of choice here, and it is featured on several walls, in the lighting, and more. There is a beautiful bar stretched across one end of the restaurant, gorgeous lighting fixtures, painted accents on the blue walls, comfortable dark blue tufted cushions on the booth seating, etc. In addition to the great ambiance, service is the same caliber that one expects at the other two restaurants. The staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. I stopped by during my lunch break and met up with my mom and sister for lunch. The staff made sure our food orders were all entered quickly so there wasn’t a major lag time between our starter and our entrees. We finished the meal with plenty of time to spare. And of course I must take a moment to talk about the food. Definitely order the Cauliflower 65(sometimes called Gobi 65, Cauliflower Manchurian, or Gobi Manchurian in other establishments). I’ve had this dish previously in NYC, and also at Rasoi, where it’s a huge favorite. It’s comprised of crispy, fried cauliflower florets tossed and spicy/sweet sauce that is just absolute Heaven in your mouth. Just order it! I also love the Chicken Tikka Masala. I didn’t specify my preference for spice when ordering(I usually say medium spicy), and I personally found it a bit milder than what I’m used to. Although my sister orders her’s hot and also didn’t specify and she said it was perfect for her, so maybe I’ve just burnt out my tastebuds and am less sensitive to spice these days :) Who knows! In any case, it’s an excellent preparation of this dish. Since I’m working nearby now, I definitely plan to visit Rasa quite regularly during my lunch hour. I can’t wait! Oh, and if you’re a Unilocaler, check in to get a coupon ;-)

How much do I love having an amazing Indian restaurant down in East Greenwich? Lots and lots. This restaurant is affiliated with my absolute favorite Indian place, Rasoi, located in Pawtucket. Considering how much time I spend in the EG neighborhood, it’s a delight to have this alternative. What do I recommend? Cauliflower 69, chicken tikka, rice crepes(so much food and so good), curry, tikka masala, all the vegetarian dishes. Did I mention the drinks? One night they served a special cardamom martini. It was delicious! This is a perfect complement to the wonderful restaurants in EG. I am so glad they’ve added it to Main Street. A suggestion when dining in. Service is a bit more pedestrian. Service tends to be very good, but don’t expect to eat quickly. :)

Almost two years later, Rasa still gets all of my five stars and if Unilocal allowed me to give six i would! Their lamb dishes are so flavorful and succulent, I almost always order one of them.(The spinach and lamb dish is off the chain!!). Whenever I say I don’t like too much heat, they always turn down the heat for whatever dish I order. The service is beyond compare. Rasa is packed every time we go there, so I encourage you to make a reservation. It really doesn’t get any better than this — RASA! Yay! BIGPS: Santosh, who is the manager nearly always on duty when we go to Rasa, is the warmest, nicest, friendliest man to ever run a restaurant! 6 stars for Santosh!

Rasa is a great little restaurant on Main Street with a good variety of food. We really enjoyed our time here and would like to return. For a starter, we got the Honey and Ginger Naan($ 3.50, pictured) which was very good. For dinner, I ordered the Lamb and Spinach($ 17.50, pictured) which was described as having cubed lamb, onion, tomato, cumin, and garlic. It was less solid than I expected in my head, but it was very delicious and I was glad I ordered it. There are only so many times you can order something similar to Chicken Tikka Masala($ 15.99). I would rate this food similar to India(Hope Street, Providence), but the drink menu doesn’t have the same depth. I wasn’t really happy with the price for strength ratio of the cocktails we ordered. But the prices for the food seemed reasonable for the area otherwise. In conclusion, I enjoyed Rasa, and would consider returning, but there are many other restaurants on Main Street to try first!

I wish I could give this place all the stars in the sky, they are that good. Even though I’ve been eating Indian food most of my life, I’m still a little«dumb» when reading the menu and can almost never remember what I like and dislike. Everyone there is very helpful with answering questions and helping with the menu. Going there at lunch is GREAT. Brought my brother there this Saturday at lunch and smaller lunch portions = half the price… which meant I also ordered 4 apps and the bill was still less than $ 40 for two people and we were both stuffed! Earlier this year, I was feeling a bit bold and asked for a dish«extra hot» and I got exactly what I asked for… and also couldn’t eat it because my taste buds are total wimps sometimes and can’t hang. They re-made my meal and it was so fast that I wasn’t lagging much behind the people I was with. Rasa, Rasoi, Kabob and Curry are just perfect places!

Authentic Indian food, check. Excellent service, check. But then we got the check and took a double take. We ordered the lunch special and two lassis, and the bill was $ 37. It could have been user error — we must have misread the menu, but we were a little taken aback by the bill. That said, our waitress was phenomenal, very accommodating with our small child, and I can’t complain about our food. Our wallet was emptied, but our bellies were full.

Dinner prices are inexplicably 2x the lunch prices so go figure that one out. The food was not worth the dinner price but probably worth the lunch price. I’d give it 4 stars for lunch and 3 stars for dinner. The naan was good, as were the curries. The coconut naan was pretty unique and interesting but nothing about the other dishes I had stand out in my mind. I had the Chicken Hyderabadi Korma. Lamb Korma is my favorite Indian dish but this wasn’t an option, here. To me, the Korma taste… flat? It just didn’t have as much flavor as I expect Korma to have. Also, the fact that they don’t have lamb korma raises another point: the menu is small. In Austin, where I live, many Indian places offer a variety of proteins and a variety of curries and allow you to mix and match as you please. At Rasa, there are about 10 curries and each one is a set meat/curry pairing. And, while I may have had the option had I asked the waiter, there was no apparent choice for how spicy you want your dish. Moreover, the default seemed to be «mild.» Where is my curry freedom? I’m sorry, I thought this was America. If I lived near this place, I’d probably drop in for lunch on occasion but the dinner prices are unjustified. I’ve had better Indian for less money. There wasn’t anything bad about my food, just a dozen ways it could have been a lot better. Rasa is neither memorably good, nor memorably bad. Three stars.

I welcome the EG sister of Rasoi(aka my fave restaurant of all time) and Kabob and Curry(my last choice for Indian food in the area — it’s the Thayer Street parking). Having only had take out, I can not give an accurate rating, but will be sure to update this when I have soaked in the full Rasa experience. The interior is classy and slick. Despite the longer than told wait, nearly 35 minutes, the service was friendly and polite. Oh, and they too have cauliflower 65, so there’s that. I shall return.

I have been looking forward to trying Rasa for awhile. I had made a reservation last month that I had to cancel so I was happy to finally dine at Rasa. When we walked in we were greeted by a friendly host and(I’m assuming) the manager. The manager remembered that we’d made the reservation«awhile ago, maybe a week» ago, online. After we were shown to our table he moved some chairs to ensure that we were comfortable. We had a bit of a wait before our waiter came to the table but then everything flowed very quickly. After reading the reviews we had to start with the Cauliflower 65. We also tried the Artichoke and Veg Uttapam, The cauliflower was my favorite and definitely lived up to the hype. I almost couldn’t believe it was cauliflower it was so substantial but it had that flavor I love that comes from roasted cauliflower. The veggie pancake was not what I was expecting but it was very good. For our main dishes we chose the Lamb and Spinach and the Tamarind Salmon and both were excellent. We did not try dessert since we had doubled up on appetizers. I truly enjoyed the experience and it’s reminded me how much I love Indian food. The service were exceptional and I can’t wait to return and try some other dishes on the menu.
