I’m such a fan of this food. Love the food! Its different take on lunch. I found this place a few months after Super Wings closed its Crown Heights location near me; so I didn’t have a place that was American with an island twist of a place. Now I found another one. Love their wings, sweet potatoes fries, tilapia, and salmon burger. I usually go for the salmon burger with sweet potatoes fires with garlic sauce and tamarind sauce. Oh I forgot to mention… the variety of sauces to choose from in your meal. Unless you get Chinese style chicken wings. They have their own specific sauce, which works. I wouldn’t change that. Will definitely come back.
You should definitely call ahead before heading there. The time depends how far you live from this location. Estimated time they always give me for the food to prepare is 10 – 15 mins., and that depends on how many entrees you’d ordered. Figuring that out will cut your time drastically!!! You’ll be in and out. Most of all not hungry. The only reason they have 4 stars is becuase they don’t deliver.

Ordered the shark burger with the sweet potato fries. The actual shark pieces to me were alittle dry and could use some seasoning. Overall the burger with the condiments and toppings of garlic sauce, shado beni, pepper and tamarind sauce, pineapple slice, onions, lettuce, tomato and cucumbers made the burger delicious. The sweet potato fries were great. Nice local spot that I will return to.

I have eaten at many build your own burger joints and have never had a better salmon burger anywhere and there special garlic sauce is the best for the burger or the seasoned jumbo fries… I’m hooked now and they see me often I don’t think I can even bring myself to try anything else… because what I already get is so gooood! 5 stars

Wow! I had the bbq chicken and chips and had no idea what sauces to choose nor do I recall the different ones that I agreed to try, but this was delicious. Not one bad piece of chicken it was all tender and full of flavor. I also tried the trinni wings which had great flavor. I just like my wings a little more done. That is just my preference.
The side salad was also delicious and fresh. Parking could be limited and a restroom would have been nice since I am in the car all day. I will be back again.

Food is always great here every time I go to pick up. They have unlimited burger toppings, a great sauce selection and perfectly golden and crispy fries! I frequent this place when in the area. Highly recommended.

A great take out spot. Staff is very polite. Food is great. I enjoy the shrimp and chips w all the sauces over it. Very tastey.

I love it! Excellent service and fast ! They explained everything to me, smooth and easy. Also plus for taking card, these cash only spots kill me. I highly recommend. End up coming here because the church avenue one had to open late :(but I still enjoyed my food.

The employees are friendly and the food is good. Try the different sauces. If you don’t know what they taste like ask for a sample. Fish and sweet potato fries are my go to meal here.

So I’m a frequent island burger customer on Utica Ave, so I decided to try this one on Nostrand, overall the consistency is good, the food has the same taste and look! I enjoyed the salmon burger, shark and chicken burger equally. The best thing about this place are the sauces, make sure your burger has Tamarind, Mango, Chandon Beni and Garlic Sauce

I had the salmon burger with a side of sweet potato fries. I was super satisfied with the overall taste of my food — tropically delicious! You get unlimited toppings on your burger and knowing myself, I got all the toppings they offered. What I enjoyed about Island Burger was that their food and customer service was on point! When I told the woman behind the counter that I wanted all of the toppings, she didn’t make a face at me or sigh deeply in despair; she was actually happy about it, smiled, and made friendly conversation with me. She even made suggestions as to which sauces I should try with my burger. From what I recall, my toppings were: onions, cucumbers, lettuce, tomato, coleslaw, pineapple, etc. and my sauces were mango chutney and garlic. For my sweet potato fries, I opted for BBQ sauce packaged separately. Everything about my meal was guilt free and super tasty — I am definitely coming back. This place is crowded so beware; also, there are no tables to eat at. It’s more of a take out place. Warning: though this is an amazing meal, I have to warn you that it is also a messy one. The sauces were dripping out of my burger and all over my hands.

OMG ! My first time here, but def not my last. The staff was super friendly and made jokes with me and my boyfriend as we waited for the food. The wait was worth it. I got a turkey burger and sweet potato fries. Thank You Food Godsss !

Four visits and three smiles… iv’e yet to have a bad experience here **knocks on wood**
The first was by accident, I didn’t even know they had set up shop in the junction but I had heard of them prior to my visit. Being a proud Trini I expected a certain level of service from the staff and a higher then expected level of taste from the food. Both were beyond what I anticipated.
Fish and chips is my go to meal and I must say, there must be something special in that kitchen cuz I’m in love. My only issue is with the veggie burger… wtf was that people? It honestly tasted like a seasoned dollar bill. It should NOT be on the menu.

This place is not to far from me but since it opened my husband decided to give it a try. Everything we tried off the menu so far is good. The chicken is seasoned well and the shrimp dishes are delicious!
If I can I try to go there and get a little something. It’s never overly crowded but you do have to wait, but it’s worth it.

So good. The signature Island Burger reminds me of the chimi burgers from Dominican Republic. And that garlic sauce? Pure ecstasy. I hope they continue to expand. Maybe in the city?

My food was amazing. I ordered the fish and chips with tamarind and garlic sauce! Amazing! I called ahead and went in to pick it up. Service was good. I will be going back for the shark burger.

As a big fan of the original Island Burger on Church, I was so excited to see this new location. Its right by my school and my boyfriend’s place so I’m definitely happy. Last week we stopped by and ordered salmon burgers with fries. The wait was shorter and our food was fresh. I def recommend this spot.

All of this deliciousness!!! Fish and chips are super duper tasty! I love to put all the sauces except honey mustard! I love love love that they’re now walking distance from my house! Definitely the new go to spot! The place is always tidy the girls are always smiling and friendly. I recommend calling before you go to avoid long waits.
