Just like any other McAlister’s. Good sweet tea, mac & cheese, and pasta salad. They had a lackluster service though.

Fast, friendly, well-priced, generous portions, fresh! First time here and will definitely come back! Great alternative to Subway or Panera… much better in my opinion. I enjoyed that you order at the counter and they bring it to your table, and they bus your dishes!

Pretty slow to get our to go salads we ordered at the counter. They werent that busy. The salads were ok, nothing special. Packaged brownie and crispie bars are not good, but thats expected for factory sealed dessert. Good in a pinch if no other quick stop has salad.

I had never been to a McAlister’s until today. I was doing some errands in the area and wanted to grab a quick bite to bring back to the office. I used their online ordering service for a Savannah Chicken Salad. I was pleased that my total was going to be under $ 9.(without a drink or side) I paid online as well and stopped by the deli 5 minutes later to grab my order. Apparently it wasn’t ready yet, according to the cashier, but I only had to wait 2 – 3 minutes before my name was called. I came back to my office to open up the box to find a club sandwich… NOT the Savannah Chicken Salad. I was really disappointed because I was craving a salad after a weekend of heavy eating. Although the club sandwich was good, I am giving this franchise 3 stars due to the incorrect ordering.

I personally like McAlister’s better than I do similar places like Panera. They have a huge selection of things you can get – salads, sandwiches, nachos, soups, spuds, ETC. My personal favorite is the grilled chicken spud. Also, their cookies are AMAZING… about the size of pancakes, but always soft and chewy. YUMM! Service is hit or miss here, depending on who is working and how busy it is. The last time we went in, we had great service. Cleanliness is lacking(especially in the bathrooms), but it is not terrible. Overall, a-ok place to grab a quick bite for lunch or dinner if you are near SouthPointe. I would like to see them build a location somewhere closer to a commerical/office park as opposed to retail. I would come here all the time if it was closer to RTP.

A quick and easy place to get a relatively healthy and inexpensive meal. I work close by two evenings a week, so if I’m having a late lunch or early dinner I’ll stop in. The baked potatoes(«Spuds») are good most of the time, but can occasionally be dry or seem to have been cooked hours before. When they’re fresh, though, they’re tasty and filling. I usually enjoy the Veggie Spud and Spud Olé. Although sometimes possibly under-staffed, staff are friendly and helpful.

I enjoy getting sandwiches from McAllister’s. Tastes way better than Subway, and they have so many sandwich options. I also really like their Spuds menu — who knew a whole page could be dedicated to pimped out baked potatoes?! I have had a few of their sandwiches now and I’m always very satisfied. The club is still my favorite, and their soups are also all pretty great — especially the broccoli and cheddar. There is never that long of a wait, and there are always lots of booths open which is great when you have a baby car seat with you or a big group. It’s a great choice when you want something fast, and not too pricey. Especially when there are so many cheeseburger joints in the area.

The service here is always friendly — they go the extra step of checking on you at your table and getting refills when needed. That’s a plus, because orders are at the counter and there is no actual waitstaff here. The food is decent, but nothing to get too excited about. The greatest plus for this location for my family is that kids eat free after 4PM on Mondays.

I’ve been to a few locations in the South, and you can trust that there will be good service and Sweet Tea! I admit, I have gone in just to get my flavored sweet tea. After a funny look from the cashier of ‘really that’s all you want?’ I get my tea :) very good on hot days When I have sampled the food, the sandwiches are good and so are the cookies. Very tempting cookies…

FOOD: Usually the food is average, portions vary every time I visit. Their only flaw is that they are not consistent. Every once in a while I get too much or too little of something. Don’t get the bread bowl! Half and Half is what I always go for. Service and the people there are very friendly.

Pretty solid lunch spot. I had the Cobb club with a side of coleslaw. All pretty standard deli stuff and I have no complaints. The customer service is very good. I had someone check on me for refills and to make sure everything was ok even though you don’t have a server. Unlike some previous reviews I wouldn’t compare this place to Panera. They do have a pick two option like Panera, but I think the similarities end there. This place is more of a sandwich shop rather than a sandwich, coffee, bakery type place. Overall, a good lunch place to grab a quick sandwich.

Had dinner here on Wednesday. I’d compare this place to Panera Bread or Corner Bakery, but without a crowd and less pretentious. several comfort food options, and the baked potato menu is unique! Lots of seating, indoor and outdoor. Good option for those times when you don’t feel like cooking, but don’t want to turn eating food into a whole event!

I had a weekday lunch with my 3 year old while doing some shopping. I had the half size muffuletta sandwich. It was good, but not the heated, toasted kind of muffuletta that I love, more a cold turkey and salami with olive dressing and cheese. But still tasty.(Surely they have a sandwich press and could offer that?). The little had Mac and cheese which looked at least one step above Kraft, but not homemade. The employees were super nice. The order takers were patient and willing to interact with my daughter cheerfully. I like to see that, but don’t ever force it or expect it. Some people get annoyed which I totally get. Food was quick, the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Overall a nice lunch option. We got there a little before 12, which turned out to be good timing. After 12 it did get very busy with a line to order at the counter.

Had late lunch here on a Saturday. We were pleasantly surprised by the choices and the prices. I had a chicken salad sandwich and it was good. Wish they had choices for bread because mine came on a croissant which i didn’t really feel like. They also have salads. But they didn’t have the chicken salad outside of the sandwich. The weather was nice so we could sit outside. Trying to find parking nearby was difficult though.

I think they need to do two things… one is definitely to change their bread and buns to something more fresh and tasty, and two, change their sandwich menu to remove some items and add some new items. Great location and they could do so much better business if they get some fresh bread and buns on a daily and consistent basis. The meats and cheeses aren’t bad, but the bread and buns are what make great sandwich places stand apart.

Wandered in after I got a massage next door. Nothing too special, just like another Panera except with a bit more selection I guess. Inside nicely spaced and plenty of seating. The cashier seemed lifeless and looked like shed rather be anywhere else, but whatever, I didn’t expect great customer service here. Ordered the savannah salad($ 7.49). Good sized salad but they were greedy with the chicken(4 thin strips). At almost $ 8 think it would come with more like the picture advertised on the menu. but when is it ever?

McAlister’s Deli is a great place for a quick sit down meal. It falls between a fast food restaurant and a full service restaurant. They have many choices for everyone from salads to potatoes. Every time I go I get a potato. The spud max is my favorite with cheese and olives and sour cream and then some. If you just get a potato it is huge! Two large potatoes put together. What I really like about McAlister’s is they have the option to get two different things for a good price. I often get a potato and salad combo. The last time I got a potato and a sandwich. You can choose anything from the menu when doing this option. It is sometimes hard to choose because there are so many options. It is a great lunchtime stop.

I really liked the food here and I want to give it a better rating, but honestly I can’t go in this restaurant anymore because of the smell. The tables smell like they use dirty wash rags to wipe them off — they need to change the rags and the water more often. It leaves the whole eating area with this nasty sour smell. I wouldn’t feel comfortable getting my food to go either, because if they use gross dirty rags to wipe off the part of the restaurant that the customer sees, I don’t want to think about what they do behind the kitchen wall.

I was at the Renaissance Center at Southpoint on Friday and wandered in here. I order a a meal and then the cashier handed me a receipt that said the order was paid for. I said, «wait a minute, I haven’t paid». She said that it was their preview opening and that everything on the menu was free!!! How fabulous was this!!! Their official opening is on Monday, August 8. I’ve never been to any other McCalister’s location, but I rally enjoyed the food and service. the grilled Chicken Club was delicious and so was the Big Nasty sandwich. Their chili was very hearty and meaty, no beans but I guess how chili is supposed to be traditionally. I was also surprised that their mac and cheese was good, I didn’t expect that from a deli. The service was superb and super attentive. If that day was any reflection of what it’s going to be like, this place gets 6 stars!
