It’s not just delis and sandwiches. They have a good collection of other grocery items too. This was my first visit to a food lion and I found the stuff I was looking for. Their in house brand «my essentials» is actually pretty cheap. The prices on other items, well I got lindt chocs and atkins endulge and the prices were comparable to those at walmart. But these guys had more options.
Also since I didn’t have a card the guy at the check out counter didn’t ask me to make one but rather used a card to get me the discount. I liked that. I didnt want to make a card but just using that card saved me a few cents

I can always find what I need, when I need it. People are helpful, but this place is Darwin’s grab bag. You NEVER know what kind of … things you’re going to see in here!

Their organic area sucks! I did find most of what I was looking for. Plus it’s really close to several hotels. The guy that checked me out forced me to get a card. At first I said no but he insisted. It ended up saving me close to $ 10! I was glad he was so helpful, it’s refreshing to run into someone that isn’t just a brainless robot at their job!
