One star. Why? Because I was sold a pipe dream. Before I even attempted to place an order, I asked if they were vegan friendly. I was told I had two options, one of which was a pimento cheese sandwich.(Don’t worry, I’m just as confused as you are) I’m sure I gave her the«wtf» face as she tried to convince me that it’s not really cheese, it’s pimentos… It was cheese. Needless to say, I go with the safe bet. A vegan sausage that I’ve had before… Except the way they prepared it made it anything but vegan. I don’t mean just cooking it on the same grill, the vegan sausage was touching the pork sausage! To make matters worse, there was only one set of utensils being used for everything. My anxiety shot through the roof just watching. So I politely told them to keep their food and that hey probably shouldn’t advertise as vegan friendly while keeping their current preparation methods. Moral of the story; FORGETABOUT trying to eat vegan here.

I tried Baguettaboutit at the NC State Fair this year and loved it! Their menu is very simple and small, with only about 9 «sandwiches» — or baguettes with your choice of a sausage and sauce in the middle of it. I ordered the Nu Jersey Turnpike(sweet chicken sausage + roasted red pepper sauce) and the United Nations(chicken chipotle sausage + chimichurri sauce). After ordering, it was only a few minutes until I got the food. The sandwiches are served in a little brown bag, making it very convenient hand-held food for the fair. The baguettes were very fresh, warm, and soft. With both sandwiches I got, I thought the sausages in the middle had a great balance of flavor with the sauce — the sausages were tasty but not overpowering, and the sauce had a ton of flavor. The chimichurri was my favorite — they obviously make this stuff fresh with the amount of strong parsley and garlic flavor it had. By the end of the sandwich after the sausage is done, you’re left with a heavenly pocket of sauce in that warm baguette. This is arguably the best part, so don’t waste it. I hope to see this truck at the fair again next year!

I have not been to the Miami location yet but I had the opportunity to enjoy the«Talking To Me?» baguette at the State Fair. It was amazing!!! Just the right amount of spiciness and the baguette is by far the best sandwich baguette I’ve had. The owner’s daughter told me that the sausages are made by the Meat Market in Cary. I’m not surprised because they were excellent! I would like to see them in Chapel Hill more often.

What can I say about bread & meat? It takes me back to my childhood BUT, for me as an adult. I didn’t eat PB&J on a baguette. But hollow out the insides and stuff a well seasoned sausage inside. It’s nothing but happiness. Some may be concerned with too much bread, let your fears be at rest, they got the ratio in perfect harmony. I had their spiciest offering(South of the border) which has habanero peppers sauce on it. Wakes the taste buds up! I loved it. Can’t wait to do it again.

They get two stars for the novelty of sticking a sausage inside a baguette, but otherwise I recommend avoiding this place. The sandwiches are always poorly constructed, with the sauce in one lump at the end of the baguette. The rest of the sandwiches are dry, and uninspiring. There is a variety on the menu, but everything tastes roughly the same. $ 13 for a small piece of dry bread, a dry sausage, and a dash of bland sauce isn’t worth experiencing the gimmick.

Awful. Under cooked bread(definitely not local), store bought mass produced garbage. When the sausage on the sandwich is your focus and doesn’t even fill the the bread that’s an issue for me. I got three different types a sausages off the menu. The chipotle chicken sausage was good but then the chimichurri sauce had stems in it! Took 35 minutes.

I’ve heard good things about Baguettaboutit for a while now, and was disappointed that they don’t have a Brick and Mortar anymore, but I did learn that they have not just one, but two active food trucks, so you have double the chance of catching up with them! Truck number two stopped by the work place for FTT(Food Truck Thursday). They do make you wait(15 – 20 m mins. for me) and the reason for that is everything is made to order, so keep that in mind. If the weather is nice I guess it isn’t too bad. I went with the ‘UBetcha’(named after Sarah Palin?). The baguette had the sausage with spicy beer mustard, and it was indeed spicy, but also very good. I especially like the fresh baked baguette bread, and the sausage was really good sized as well(that’s what she…). I would recommend Baguettaboutit for the delicious fresh food, but make sure you have plenty of time to wait.

This food truck was at Durham Central Park for the Food Truck Rodeo on 6÷21÷2015 so I am not sure why it is being reported as closed. As for the review, their food is absolutely DELICIOUS. I had the«buffalo chicken» which consists of chicken sausage, hot sauce, and ranch. I also ate this gem when it was about 248 degrees outside so not ideal for a impartial review of an experience. That being said, the bread was second to none, the sausage was perfectly prepared and the sauces were appropriately portioned. This is a simple idea but the end result is amazing. I would STRONGLY recommend trying Baguettaboutit(plus they have an awesome name) whenever you see them around the Triangle.

This food truck is still open as I just had one today. Got the United Nations and the chimichurri sauce was actually very good. The baguette too was nice, it was crispy on the outside and soft and warm in the inside. The sausage itself isn’t bad. The knock I give it is, I had to eat half the baguette before I got to the sausage itself. The second knock and the main one is they are slow… If they are busy I would move on and try some where else unless you have a lot of time to sit and wait. A bit pricy for the size, but still tasty

This food truck is known for making sandwiches out of baguettes, instead of regular slices of bread. Each option is a long sausage inserted into a baguette, plus some type of special sauce. The NU Jersey Turpike consists of sweet Italian sausage and roasted red pepper sauce, $ 7.50, and it’s one of the only non-spicy options available. The sandwich is smaller/shorter and thinner than I expected. It’s not as wide as a typical Subway or banh mi sandwich, but it’s very soft. It’s not the most amazing invention, but it’s not bad, just very simple.

Baguettaboutit is famous for their delectable sausages stuffed into warm baguettes with house made sauces but they have totally out done themselves with the new pizza at their restaurant location. Available in pepperoni, sausage and cheese. Ask them to drizzle one of their house made sauces on there… it takes pizza to another level! This is definitely one of the best lunch spots in the area. I never leave disappointed.

Have I been living under a rock? Baguettaboutit is celebrating their one year as a brick-and-mortar this month, and I only happened upon their location by accident. It’s in the little strip of RTP eateries that IMO has a few too many sandwich shops. That said, these guys do a spin on a sandwich; so even though their menu remains small, I think they still make an appealing option in the area. Same great baguettes, sausages, and housemade sauces you know and love from their truck. A flexible build-your-own option. And the opportunity to request and vote on your own menu inventions. They also seem to be experimenting with a «you pick two» for $ 5.99 deal that strays from baguettes and offers small dishes and sides like mac n’ cheese, greek salads, and garlic bread. On this menu is the option for a ½ of a Good Golly Miss Susan(paired with a second item). I hope that they will expand upon this in the future, as I like the idea of ordering a half a baguette(but I personally favor other flavors) with a side salad — that’s the perfect amount for lunch, and at a competitive price.(See my earlier review for a write-up on their food truck.)

Very courteous staff. Very clean and neat space. I had the bratwurst and kraut. Bread was fresh and brat was delicious. A side of Mac and cheese was creamy and cheesy chunky. I will certainly be back to check out the rest of the menu.

Great concept, great sandwich! Fresh baked baguette(they bake their own) cut in half and impaled on a spike(I’m not kidding). Why? To make room for the sausage of course!!! Six types of local NC sausage are served with different kinds of sauce(also made from local items/produce). I chose the«U Talking to Me?» — grilled hot Italian sausage with skin a little crispy placed into a baguette tube filled with fresh tomato vinaigrette — great combo — I do agree with other reviewers that the price point is definitely a bit high at $ 8 — maybe throw in a bag of chips or a side to better justify the cost. This is definitely a unique and delicious product. Apparently so successful that they have also opened a brick and mortar restaurant in Durham as well. Would definitely like to try the chicken sausage with chimichurri sauce sometime!

A very good sandwich at a decent price. Tried the NJ Turnpike and the United Nations at the truck at a recent DBAP event. Service was quick(compared to some of the other trucks nearby) and the sandwiches did not disappoint. The baguette itself was excellent.

Flavorful, fast, but not a good value. You get a baguette piece and a sausage and some sauce. Not a full lunch aka I’m still hungry after it. Eight dollars. Probably won’t see me again at that price. Could also use more side items besides just chips. Food trucks are great, but i still expect a decent value since they don’t have to put up the same upkeep that an actual restaurant does.

I tried this truck at a local food truck festival. I ordered the greek sausage sandwich. This sausage itself was very delicious as well as the sauce. The baguette was just ok. After having baguettes in France, I am picky about them. The bread was not as crisp as I would have liked. The sauce soaked into the bread and since it was taziki sauce it created an odd texture and flavor. I think I would order and Italian style sandwich next time.

I was pretty disappointed by my experience with this truck. I’d heard awesome things, and waited over half an hour for my sandwich(which I was willing to do at the time), but my sausage was definitely undercooked, making me instantly nauseated. Unfortunately I’d taken it back home, so didn’t have the choice to ask them to make it right. My husband’s was cooked fine, but lacked anything exciting. Definitely wouldn’t wait for it again.

«Fugetaboutit is like if you agree with someone, you know, like Raquel Welch is one great piece of @$$, Fugetaboutit. But then, if you disagree, like A Lincoln is better than a Cadillac? Fugetaboutit! you know? But then, it’s also like if something’s the greatest thing in the world, like mingia those peppers, Fugetaboutit. But it’s also like saying Go to hell! too. Like, you know, like „Hey Paulie, you got a one inch pecker?“ and Paulie says „Fugetaboutit!“ Sometimes it just means Fugetaboutit.» — «Donnie Brasco,» 1997 I had felt like a Vegetarian tonight(rare, I know) so I choose one of the specialty sandwich, dubbed«The Imposter,» because it is veggie hiding beneath the pig skin. It has sun dried tomato & basil inside a Tofurky Italian sausage, with cracked pepper and Parmesan sauce. To a regular Meatatarian like myself, this is surprisingly savory and satisfying. If you think you can find a better taste elsewhere, Baguettaboutit! How you order a baguette is both simple and interesting, and each baguette cost $ 6.50 flat. You look through the menu, then you pick up a brown bag from the table, which is what they will use to bag your order, then you make your selection on the back of the bag; you put a check mark on one of the six regulars, or you pick the specialty feature, or if none entice you as much you can create your own by selection your own sausage and your own sauce. Easy Peasy. Baguettaboutit! P. S. This truck will start making regular appearance in front of Fullsteam on Tuesdays, beginning Feb-21. So stay tune!
