I think this may be my last time here… The bowls are getting smaller and the prices higher… This used to be good food at a good value but over the last 12 to 18 months things keep getting tweeked but not really for the better… Sad, because I like the concept… oh… And a recent huge devaluation of their loyalty program to top it off…

Awesome service. Fast cook time. Fresh food. Not packed so that is a plus. We were offered to go drinks. Liked the fact they asked for our allergies. I am not that fond of eggs on rice so that is a plus. Shall come back.

I came back here from a long absence. The food is good but it has gotten soooo expensive. $ 14.95 for the large bowl is overpriced.

This was my second time going to this restaurant and it was still as good as the first time Everyone that works there is super nice and they seem to all get along which makes it a better environment for the customers. They all help and talk to you instead of ignore you like most places do. The place is never packed either. My 12 year old daughter and i were trying to figure out what sauce she wanted and one of the workers came up and told us what her favorite was and she took the time to help my daughter make a choice. This is a VERY spexial thing to me! They made her feel like she was special and important. They have some new appetizers and if you go make sure you get the citrus garlic edamame. Im sad that you dont get more for the price but it was super good.

Worst service ever. At 5pm, no other customers in restaurant. They seated us and left us sitting there for 15 minutes. No one even came to offer us drinks. Needless to say, we left.

This is the best Genghis Grill in the DFW area… Food is always good and the service is top notch! Pay them a visit you won’t be disappointed!!!

This location has recently changed their policy and now if you don’t finish your food and want to take your leftovers home, they charge you an extra $ 6. This is ridiculous. I looked to see if it was a company wide change or if it is just this location and apparently it’s just this location. I am not sure I’ll be back. There are great Mongolian grills in the area that are far less shady.

This is me and my daughter’s favorite restaurant, but the Duncanville location is so boring. The staff is super nice and helpful, and the food is awesome. The staff is young early college aged, but the customers are always typically mid 40s. I know… who the heck pays attention to this. I first stated visiting Genghis Grill when they opened there Greenville and Addison locations, back then it was mostly college students hanging out ordering tons of drinks. The food is still great, and its a nice place for a casual date and dinner meeting.

The food is about the same as all the rest but I have to agree that the service is subpar. The place had plenty of employees around but mostly they just stare at you. If you use the kiosks at the table to order they get really annoyed.

Horrible service! I decided to give this place a second chance from a previous bad experience but the place still sucks! The restaurant was not busy at all to justify their mix up with my bowl. I was eating lunch with a friend and some how his ingredients ended up in my udon noodles. They offered for me to make a new bowl but after waiting 30 minutes I was starving so I declined there great offer. Save yourself sometime and from bad service just head to the one on Lemmon which has way better service even when there extremely busy.

I visited Genghis grill tonight 7÷27÷2014. My younger brother and I ordered our food Togo and were taken care of by the bartender Gabrielle. When we got to the line to fix our bowls there was one other person in line fixing two of her bowls with protein(meat), taking her time, and she told us to go in front of her. Which was no problem at all, she was very kind. There was no one else in line so my brother and I decided to get our veggies first then go back to the protein, when the lady finished. As we were putting our veggies in the bowl there was a young man, an employee, that said«You’re not allowed to back track after you have your protein» he didn’t realize that we didn’t have our protein yet because the lady was still taking up the room where the protein was. So my brother and went back to the protein, as we were walking back to the protein the young man said«They must didn’t hear me» I Stated«Yes, we did hear you but this young lady in front of us was taking her time gathering her protein for two bowls so we decided to get our veggies first» He then realized that it was not on purpose and he let the situation go. Three minutes later another employee that I found out later was a General Manager, Ray Jordan came out of nowhere behind the protein buffet and told my brother and I «That we had to pay a $ 6 fee for back tracking the line» after I already told the first employee what had happened. So I repeated what I told the employee, to the general manger. He then stated that we still had to pay the $ 6. I told him that it was simply a mistake and there was no intention of me or my brother back tracking. I did understand where the manager was coming from because I work at a fine dining restaurant myself and I respect all rules. But I rarely go to Genghis grill. I have only been twice this year so I did not know that my brother and I getting our veggies first was a problem, if I did we would have never broke that rule. But since I never knew I felt that I did not have to pay an extra $ 6 for three bowls each. I purchased two and my brother purchased one. Once I let the manager know that it was a mistake and that I was not going to pay an extra $ 18 for something I didn’t know about, he turned to the side and did a very big«Huff and puff» like I made him mad or angry, I didn’t say anything afterwards I continued going through the line. I felt that, that was VERYRUDE!!! Before I left I asked him was he a manager and he stated he was the general manager and his name was Ray Jordan, and I immediately said«Okay! Thank You!» with a smile. He stated that if there was a problem that I reported he would call me, I told him I work for a restaurant and if my GM huffed and puffed at a customer that it would be very bad business! He acted as if he didn’t care and walked off and said he’s been in the business a long time, and I repeatedly told him that him huffing and puffing at me was very rude! I will not be returning to this specific location, 150 E Hwy 67, Duncanville Tx 75137, because of Ray Jordan.

I love this place. I love the choices that you can choose from. I don’t really venture out on different bowls. I have my favorite and I stick to it. The pot stickers are good. The veggies always look fresh. They are always helpful.

This place was filthy. The bar was covered in spilled sauces and food everywhere. Lousy service. Waitress came back ¾ of way through meal. Asked for 2nd glass of wine. 10 min later food done and still no wine and no explanation as to why. Finally got up and went to front and just asked for bill so we could just get out. They were not even busy. Maybe If they aren’t going to serve a lot of the ‘old’ foods like shrimp and such, they should take it off all their signs in the restaurant and off the menu! Will not return here or probably any one again. Too high of prices for less food than before

The meat is good but from our last visit they have changed a number of things. The amount of rice, even when getting steamed rice, is so low that I’m fairly sure I in a large bowl you get less then a fourth of a cup of cooked rice. The rice also was grossly undercooked. Chinese buffets can handle steamed rice in relatively good quality I’m not sure why this place can’t. Service was slower then most places but they were a bit busy so I can understand that. Meh not sure if I’ll come back. I’m tempted to just attempt to figure out the dragon sauce and make this at home where I can get fully cooked rice and a portion size that is equal to a rice side in Japan. Maybe the one in Houston will be better.

Come on now 1HOUR for a kids bowl! When we arrived and their was only 7 tables being attendant! So if you want good service and fast food your at the wrong place. Oh and they will not even acknowledge you since your creating an inconvenience for them! As soon as you leave«we are sorry is their anything we can do» really, you could of hurried up from the beginning and did your job and their would of not been a problem! Slow service and SOME personnel that really do not care is what you will get

The Genghis Grill at this location is OK. Of course you can have the fun of creating your own food and with family this may be considered a nice outing BUT for a first date(over the age of 25) its IFFY. The food is tasty(Mongolian), there is a bar, there are multiple televisions, its in a seemingly safe atmosphere and neighborhood and the waiting staff are usually nice. Its not the most expensive however it will still cost enough if you plan on more than a family of four.(If you are eating here weekly or every day then congratulations on beating the struggling economy!) You may be waiting in line to prepare your food if it is crowded. It has a small interior for those who desire space. Sometimes there are spills on the floor from customers preparing their bowls in line, be careful not to slip. This restaurant lets you see how certain people will try to pile on the most food they can in one bowl. Be sure to get a mint on the way out.

Genghis grill really relies on how good the cooks are on the flat top. If they know their ingredient cook times and temps, then you’re golden. If the person is new, prepare for mushy ingredients and/or over/undercooked food. My last visit was good. I typically don’t like coming here because I feel like I can just whip up the same thing at home(assuming I had similar ingredients), but that’s what you pay for, right? For them to have it for you!

I’m not a fan of chain restaurants, but I like this place. The food is always fresh, the staff is always friendly, and we always have a nice time. Great prices, too.
